| romkey | posted 11-Jul-2003 12:19am I would talk with them about their experience and try to understand why they believed that. |
| Dino | posted 11-Jul-2003 4:37am I would tell them I had a hard time believing them but I would listen to them if they seemed troubled. |
| Maarten | posted 11-Jul-2003 5:26am I'd buy him yet another beer. |
| dora | posted 11-Jul-2003 6:58am Comfort,hard time believing it,try to understand. |
| Wicksy | posted 11-Jul-2003 8:12am I'd love it and listen all day to him/her. |
| Enheduanna | posted 11-Jul-2003 9:00am I would have a hard time believing that was what really happened, and I would want them to describe the experience to me. I would probably try to come up with another explanation of what happened. I would also tell them I didn't believe it was alien abduction. |
| Glassa | posted 11-Jul-2003 2:06pm I'd listen and be open to the possibility. I have lots of ideas on what aliens could be. Humans come back in time after evolving? Demons? Beings from another dimension? I have seen a UFO though. |
| LindaH | posted 11-Jul-2003 5:05pm I would say "I know, I was there" and then I'd call the mother ship and inform them he's going around telling people. |
| pterodactyl | posted 11-Jul-2003 5:35pm I'd assume they were kidding. |
| southernyankee | posted 11-Jul-2003 5:42pm allthough I do believe in UFOs and the fact that people have in fact been abducted, if it happend once I would have a hard time believing that he was in fact abducted. I would probablly dismiss it as a holucination or a figment of my friends imagination and/or wishfull thinking. It might have been a lot of things. If it happends more than once, I might worry about his mental health, and ask for more proof. |
| Zang | posted 11-Jul-2003 5:56pm Although I don't consider him to be my closest friend, one of my friends recently told me about a spaceship experience and I was very openly skeptical. The fact that a) he's an enormous flake b) they were on psychedelic drugs at the time and c) it happened at night, at a distance, made me highly dubious. He said that him and a friend were on a hill overlooking the South Saskatchewan River that runs through Saskatoon, and they saw a "spaceship is distress" floating on the water. His description of what they saw sounded to me like people on a boat setting off fireworks, but hey, maybe it really was a spaceship in distress... |
| juliw | posted 11-Jul-2003 6:03pm I would laugh! |
| Richard47 | posted 11-Jul-2003 9:04pm Something tells me Kaleb777 and OfTheSoul are the same person. |
| bill | posted 12-Jul-2003 8:49am This would likely be a major crisis for me, it's very hard to imagine this could happen. If it did, it would upset a lot of stuff in my life. |
| kaleb777 | (reply to Glassa) posted 12-Jul-2003 7:22pm I know *some* Mormons believe UFOs are the angels of death that are supposed to be released on Earth in the last days. |
| kaleb777 | (reply to Zang) posted 12-Jul-2003 7:23pm What does a spaceship in distress look like? |
| Zang | (reply to kaleb777) posted 13-Jul-2003 6:06am Like I said, the way he described it, it sounded to me like people on a boat setting off fireworks. |
| mandy | posted 13-Jul-2003 1:15pm I would adore this. I would listen and believe and help and want to be near them so I could see if it happens again and maybe be abducted myself. |
| kaleb777 | (reply to Zang) posted 13-Jul-2003 10:50pm Did he think they were sending up flares so the mother ship could find them? |
| ROCKMAN | posted 14-Jul-2003 9:32am I would laugh openly. |
| l801 | posted 15-Jul-2003 8:57am i'd be interested in what happened and help him/her the best that i could...i am open to the possibilities of these happenings 'cause strange things have also happened to me. |
| Hyena | posted 15-Jul-2003 4:52pm I totally believe in this as a possibility - so I'd listen carefully to the story for truthfulness and compare it to other stories I've heard. That would be so cool, if it was a positive experience. I'm scared of that happening to me - unless it was ET or some nice beings. |
| krisbasicsol | posted 16-Jul-2003 4:05pm I would be comforted in knowing that friends of mine share my experience |
| Zang | (reply to kaleb777) posted 16-Jul-2003 4:06pm It was my impression that he thought that spaceships shot flames when they were broken. It didn't occur to me that they were signal flares. |
| smurf | posted 17-Jul-2003 3:48am I would ask if they met the rest of my family... |
| Richard47 | (reply to bill) posted 18-Jul-2003 9:59pm What about Romkeys trip to Jupiter? (I could have used another planet, you know...But I am being N...I...C...E because you are the boss!!) |

| Richard47 | (reply to l801) posted 18-Jul-2003 10:07pm The strangest was your birth, right??? |
| Richard47 | (reply to Hyena) posted 18-Jul-2003 10:09pm What if the story started out: I was abducted and placed in a strange place where a found some magic beans...and there was a giant beanstalk...and my mother was there...she said.... *Well, you know the rest * |
| Richard47 | (reply to krisbasicsol) posted 18-Jul-2003 10:10pm ...share my boyfriends! |

| Hyena | (reply to Richard47) posted 21-Jul-2003 5:45pm If it was a positive experience, I'd be so happy for them. Some magic beans can be very positive. |
| l801 | (reply to Richard47) posted 23-Jul-2003 7:52am nahhh...that fell on u |
| moonstone | posted 23-Jul-2003 4:27pm It would depend on a lot of things, including what friend it was. |
| Biggles | posted 1-Sep-2003 2:11pm I would laugh openly because they would probably be joking. |
| Frostbrand | posted 19-Sep-2003 1:12am I beleive in UFOs, but not so much in abductions, but don't go by me. I'm far from being an expert on such things. However, some people think my modrate stance on this particular topic lead some conspiracy theorists to believe that I am one of of the infamous MIBs (no, not the guys from the movies!) So, I created this little thingee for you all. MIB or Webber? MIB: Seen dressed entirely in black. Webber: Black don't crack baby. MIB: Usually seen wearing dark sunglasses. Webber: Ditto. MIB: Described as having a pale complection. Webber: Hey, people who beleive in conspiracies like JFk and UFOs don't get out much OK?!? MIB: Often described as looking "too perfect." Webber: OK, you got me. Now I have to kill you. |
