He gave me the eye
But I just passed him by
I treated him unkind
But he didn't seem to mind

I told him be on his way
But not a word did he say
He just stood there kind of bold
While I acted cold

But when the lovelight starts shining through his eyes
Made me realize I should apologize
And when he placed a kiss upon my face
Then I knew, Oh then I knew
That he won my heart

So I quickly apologized
Hoping he hadn't changed his mind
But not a word did he say
So I turned to walk away

But when the lovelight starts shining through his eyes
Made me realize how he felt inside
And when he placed a kiss upon my face
Then I knew, Oh then I knew
That he won my heart

When he asked could he walk my way
I hoped sweet things he'd say
Instead he smiled kind of nice
As he held my hand kind of tight

But when the lovelight starts shining through his eyes
Made me realize how he felt inside
And when he placed a kiss upon my face
Then I knew, Oh then I knew
That he won my heart

But when the lovelight starts shining through his eyes
Made me realize how he felt inside
And when he placed a kiss upon my face

At the time that I'm writing this, it is hot but I wouldn't call it a heatwave. However, my sister who lives in Vancouver (the other end of the country) was complaining that they were in the heat of things!

Chateau Shack is in the Lanaudière region of Quebec. I found a site with a map (you have to know the area to be able to click on the right parts of the map because it's terribly small! So I won't bother you with it.) and it clearly shows Mandeville (used to be called St-Charles-de-Mandeville) way up to the North with nothing else further up. It's situated just at the beginning of the Laurentian Mountains. It's still, as of yet, undiscovered by the majority of city folks in Montreal. Directly North of Montreal is Mont-Tremblant; I remember that area when I was a teenager and I can't believe the development there! So much tourism - it makes me sick. Of course it brought much money to the area but there's hardly any real wild areas left. I like it wild, I thought that Mandeville was pretty wild but just a couple of weeks ago, some idiot had a Rave party a few miles from our land. We could hear the music all weekend! The locals were not too happy about it so I think the municipality has changed certain laws about mass gatherings! It's just a question of time before the city folks discover this place, it's only one hour's drive from the East end of Montreal.

Well, I'll enjoy it while it's quiet and make money selling it in a decade from now when it'll become THE place for tourism and I assure you; it's well on it's way!

There's a population boom in the capital cities here that is forcing young home buyers to buy houses 2 hours in the country which is fast becoming new suburbs and more sprawl. I'm gonna need a plane soon to get away from it all. I have a map of Canada that shows none of the places you mentioned. It goes as far north an Mistassini.

Lanaudière is a region and may not be mentioned on some maps. Try to find a provincial park (or reserve) called Mastigouche, Saint-Gabriel-de-Brandon is the biggest town near Mandeville which is so small; I'm not surprised that you can't find it on the map! As I said; Mandeville used to be called St-Charles-de-Mandeville, in Quebec, there's a movement for change of many town names - there's too many saints!

Sorry, Irene... This may be more helpful. It is very interesting. Tell we what you think!!

What the dilliyo? I will re-write to you (literally) what you wrote to me;

"Well, over there it's. You are very confounded about your past and (ez?) are constantly reflect in the many commentaries that you provide to us, here, in the Central Study (I think this must mean; Survey Central?). You should take your time by completing the thoughts and the sentences written if we could understand. I always receive some notes from Enduanna (Enheduanna?) and Pomerian (Pomeranian?) of this. You should clear things up with them."

You've obviously been using something like Babble Fish Translator, this is what they gave as a translation of what you wrote (it's as confusing as mine!!);

"Well, over there it east. You are very confused of your past and ez is constantly reflects in much comments which you provide for us, here, in the Central Study. You must take your time by supplementing the written thoughts and sentences if we can include/understand you. I always receive notes of Enduanna and Pomerian of this. You must clarify things with them.

Sorry if I assumed that your French was better than I thought; I did not realize this since you wrote to me in French in the first place!

All I said was;
"Honestly, I don't know much of what you wrote (in French - now that I realize that you copied it from some Belgian web site!) I am Canadian and you must speak to me of Iroquois, Huron, Irish and the French. I know but their history, even if I am Americanized to the point of being more aware of their history than mine!

All I know is that my ancestors came to join a Belgian colony in Namur, Quebec (Like Namur in Belgium) but they didn't make it so Montebello (QC) became the residence for my ancestors.

So there! That's why I'm here!!"

I don't know why you say that I'm so confused about my past; I know so much more about it than most of my neighbours know about their own. I've had dealings with Americans called "Morin, Boucher, Gagnon" and they pronounce their name in English (More-in, Bowcher, Gag-non) and were quite surprised to discover that their names were of French origine. I know this as these names are all around me! Many New-Englanders have French origins. Not surprising, if you check out the history of that area.

Hey! Did you know that Montreal was American for all of four days??

By the way; I don't remember you from my past here at SC so why do you "imply" that I "constantly" write my thoughts and sentences without any regard to the SC users??
And what do Enheduanna and Pomeranina have to do with this, what must I clear up with them??
