| Wicksy | (reply to darkshadowsseeker) posted 2-Jul-2003 7:41am The whole point of the survey was to choose!! |
| Lahdee | posted 2-Jul-2003 7:47am I'm going to be hatefully forgotten. |
| ROCKMAN | posted 2-Jul-2003 7:52am I wouldn't want either ,but I would rather be remembered even if they hated me I guess. |
| Jemmy | posted 2-Jul-2003 10:24am Completely forgotten. |
| Enheduanna | posted 2-Jul-2003 10:53am Completely forgotten. I'm sure after a few generations this will happen anyway. |
| Biggles | posted 2-Jul-2003 11:21am It really depends. This comes up in a story I'm trying to write. Because of a specific set of circumstances, the answer isn't really what you might expect. |

| Glassa | posted 2-Jul-2003 1:54pm I'd rather be forgotten than hated by all. What a timely question. I have been thinking of this type thing today. A former classmate of mine was killed in a shooting in Jefferson City today. His name was Ricky Borts. If you pray, please keep his family in your prayers. He had a 14 weeks pregnant wife, and a 2 year old. Here's the story: http://www.thekansascitychannel.com/news/2307305/detail.html |
| Zang | posted 2-Jul-2003 5:00pm That would depend on what I'm hatefully remembered for. |
| juliw | posted 2-Jul-2003 5:53pm Of these two choices, I would rather be forgotten. |
| juliw | (reply to Glassa) posted 2-Jul-2003 5:54pm That is so awful! I will keep all of you in my prayers. |
| southernyankee | posted 2-Jul-2003 10:27pm " ... I rather be forgotten, nana nah nah, than remebered for, thun tun nun, that giving in, summer holidays verses pu..." But I much much rather be hated than remebered for giving in |
| a | posted 3-Jul-2003 3:28am I wouldn't be hatefully remembered or forgotten. I will be in all of the history books as a hero. I will cure AIDS and cancer [all forms]. |
| Biggles | (reply to a) posted 3-Jul-2003 8:23am You really won't. |
| jettles | posted 3-Jul-2003 8:33am depends on what it is i would be hatefully remembered for and by whom. i think that some of my beliefs and convictions would have me be hatefully remembered by some and that wouldn't matter to me. i wouldn't want my family to hatefully remember me though. |
| Richard47 | posted 3-Jul-2003 10:58am I don't care if they love me or hate me, agree or disagree with me, condone or condemn me...as long as they spell my name right!! |
| Richard47 | (reply to dora) posted 3-Jul-2003 11:05am I will always remember you running through the small villages outside of Milano, barefoot, holding a pizza in one hand...a bottle of vino in another crying, "Sono libero!" |

| kirst | posted 3-Jul-2003 11:11am If the choice is only between being hatefully remembered or completely forgotten, I'd have to choose the latter. |
| Richard47 | (reply to juliw) posted 3-Jul-2003 11:16am There is absolutely no way I could ever forget you and I am sure you are loved by many in Akron. I would be the first one to volunteer to create a statue dedicated to you to represent all of those you have helped throughout your life. Your internal "love light" will shine on...and on...long after your external self dims. |
| Richard47 | (reply to southernyankee) posted 3-Jul-2003 11:19am You and Mandy should be drinking buddies...though I doubt you would ever be able to get one drop of booze. |
| Richard47 | (reply to a) posted 3-Jul-2003 11:20am As long as you don't contract AIDS or cancer!!! |
| juliw | (reply to Richard47) posted 3-Jul-2003 5:48pm Thank you, Richard! ((((hugs))))you |
| Iseult | posted 3-Jul-2003 9:03pm HATEFULLY REMEMBERED!!! My life ambition is to be writen in the history, even if it takes doing something infamous (of course, I certainly won't go too far). |
| Biggles | (reply to Richard47) posted 4-Jul-2003 8:05am Nope - I think that would be pretty dull for everyone but a biochemist! It's science fiction |
| AJ | posted 4-Jul-2003 10:03am I don't want to be completely forgotten, but I don't want to be hated either. |
| srflorida | posted 4-Jul-2003 2:11pm I don't want to be forgotten, but I don't want to be hated either. I don't mind some resentment, but i would like to be remembered nicely. I also like lots of attention so I couldn't go for forgotten. |
| Richard47 | (reply to Biggles) posted 4-Jul-2003 4:40pm Is must be the story of YOUR life, then! |
| Richard47 | (reply to AJ) posted 4-Jul-2003 4:41pm Too late. You are already both. (Who are you???) |
| Richard47 | (reply to srflorida) posted 4-Jul-2003 4:45pm But srflorida, it is exactly the TYPE of attention you require that is going to make you forgotten and hated ( We know you go around lifting your skirt to alzhemiers patients while stealing their wallets!) |
| darkshadowsseeker | (reply to Wicksy) posted 4-Jul-2003 6:56pm I know, but I'm a stubborn dog. |
| southernyankee | (reply to Richard47) posted 4-Jul-2003 7:07pm In that case, I make her pay for the whole thing. |
| southernyankee | (reply to Richard47) posted 4-Jul-2003 7:15pm Hey Richerd, isn't there a statue built in your honer somewhere. |
| Richard47 | posted 4-Jul-2003 7:16pm She's a mega vacuum when it comes to Southern Comfort, you know...but I love her. |
| southernyankee | (reply to Richard47) posted 4-Jul-2003 7:16pm No, wait, I heard a whole bunch of people toppled it. |
| Richard47 | (reply to southernyankee) posted 4-Jul-2003 7:17pm OK, I'll bite (only this once): And what would that statue be? |
| Richard47 | (reply to southernyankee) posted 4-Jul-2003 7:17pm Is that the BEST you can do? |
| btrswtbutterfly | posted 4-Jul-2003 9:17pm Well, I'd hate to be hated, but I'd hate to be forgotten. I guess I'd rather be hated. |
| Biggles | (reply to Richard47) posted 5-Jul-2003 9:33am Thankfully my life has never been dramatic enough that anyone would want to read about it! |
| Amanda | posted 5-Jul-2003 11:50pm Since I'll be dead, I doubt that I'll know or care if and/or how people remember me. But, I guess I'd rather people not remember me at all than to remember me in bad ways. |
| justjulie | posted 6-Jul-2003 9:26am forgotten all the way |
| Ellipsis | posted 6-Jul-2003 6:57pm not sure, it'd be neat to know that everyone in the future would remember my name...even though i'm hatefully remembered. I'm sure i'd have some fans somewhere so sure what the heck i'm dead might as well be remembered. |
| Richard47 | (reply to Ellipsis) posted 9-Jul-2003 12:12pm The eternal light of remembrance shines through-out eternity. It is reflected on the faces of rainbows and a baby's smile. All once what was will be again and will always be once it has dimmed. |
| Richard47 | (reply to Amanda) posted 9-Jul-2003 12:13pm Would you be offended if people simply remembered you were "dead"? |
| Amanda | (reply to Richard47) posted 9-Jul-2003 2:44pm That would be better than them thinking I'm still alive! Don't you think? |
| Richard47 | (reply to Amanda) posted 10-Jul-2003 11:06am You are????? |
| delfin9299 | posted 10-Jul-2003 5:30pm I'm dead. Why would I care about what other people are saying about me? |
| Amanda | (reply to Richard47) posted 10-Jul-2003 6:16pm No. It was just a bad joke. I'm really dead. Hell, I was never even human. I was an alien from Mars before my untimely death at the young age of 746. A man from NASA shot me with a laser gun and killed me. Damn, those humans. |
| Richard47 | (reply to Amanda) posted 11-Jul-2003 4:45pm The same thing usually happened with the illegal aliens I knew escaping into California from Mexico, though they weren't as old as you were (well, maybe some were) |
| moonstone | posted 28-Jul-2003 11:56pm If I had to choose, and if by everyone, you mean e v e r y o n e, then I'd rather just be forgotten. I guess it would depend on what I was hated for, though. I guess there would be a chance that someone would change they're mind and decide not to hate me anymore. |
| citrustwist27 | posted 12-Aug-2003 1:49am Completely forgotten, if I had to choose between the 2 |
