Just a little info:
The Kodak Plus Digital camera holds 27 exposures (but,I got 28 pictures out of one of these cameras before...Weird!!!) So, all we're waiting for, is at least that many or close to that many SC Buddies to respond to the call.

Now all I have to do is draw a map of all the SC Buddies who will be passing the camera...... & seeing as how you're living down south on the east coast, you will probably be one of the last SC Buddies to receive it IN the Continental United States.

I am going to email you right after this, asking you a couple of questions. You can respond to me there if you like.

No,it sounds complicated.

Babe, one of our SC Buddies will send you a digital camera (that was sent to them)

1)all you have to do is open the package,
2)take out the camera
3)take(one)picture of YOURSELF or WHATEVER you want,(like the Roman Coliseum or the Pope etc.)
4)put the camera in the package,
5)take it to the post office,
6)pay for the postage to mail it on to the next SC Buddy on the enclosed list.

That SC Buddy will do the same thing that you did & mail it on to the next SC Buddy on the list.
This will go on until all the 27 exposures of film from the one use digital camera (except for the last shot which is reserved for Maarten) are used up. The last shot that is reserved for Maarten is because, Maarten is going to develop the camera & download all the pictures from it, onto a site for all of us to see.

Please participate,Dora..... you will probably be the one on the list, mailing it back to Maarten, who lives in the Netherlands.

Dino already said that Biggles(if she participates)will have to mail the camera to him or vice versa. Because they both live in Great Britain.

naw, I think I pass on this one.

First off, what the hell would be the fudging point. Why cant people just upload a picture instead. Wouldnt that be a lot easier.

As far as trust, giving out your home address isn't exactlly 100% safe, duh, but a slightly more serious and less thought out detail people just forgot about. What if someone decides to keep the camera. Did anyone think of that. Currenly, I am thinking of getting one. If someone send me one, it be very temping (though I wouldnt do it, I am not that kind of a person). Well, I probablly would borrow it indefinatly, until I get one of my own. Yes, I am THAT kind of a person. And then there's the security issue. NOt to mention it would take forever for the camera to circulate, and who the hell has that kind of patience when all you have to do is upload the pictures. And dont forget the technologicly "idiot" (sorry, couldnt think of a better word of the top of my head) people, who probably accidently errase all of the memory. Meaning that somebody would have to keep storing the pictures on some disk or something, just in case.

There's way too many people, and someone is bound to either screw up or something would go wrong. Personally, I wouldnt pass around such an expensive equipment like that, but you people do what you want. Good luck to you and I hope nothing screws up along the way.

Please go to your local store & look at this camera, & you'll know what I'm talking about. It's NOT an expensive $350.00 Nikon, Sony, JVC, Canon or Minaltta HIGH TECH camera. It's a CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP, $10.00 Kodak one use camera. For God sake!

Everyone will know, who to point the finger at if you keep it! Can anyone come back to SC knowing that they messed up like that?? I don't know??

That's really nice of you guys to offer, but I think the biggest problem would be explaining a camera. I'm not sure that I can get a PO box, and I don't know anyone who I culd have it sent to.

So, he would be the man to talk to about passing the camera around in your guys general area. Be sure to also have Romkey email you his snail mail addys (or vice vera). Whatever the deal is, you 3 should be talking to one another here.

I hadent reallied that it was just a disposable. NOw that makes it even harder since we only get one shot. If this isnt digital, then
you cant just delete a picture if you screw up. I can be a perfectionist sometimes, and sometimes I might think to myself, gee, if I take this beatiful picute right NOW, I might later see an even more bueatiful picture. Gee, the presure, the pressure. I think I wait till I get myself the digital camera, that way I can just take all the pictures I want (without hesitation), and keep the ones I like. I think it be better for everybody. Well, this whole thing you guys are doing sounds a bit complicated (then again I shouldnt be talking), but I hope it goes well for you guys.

As far as keeping the camera, there arent that many people that would actaully do that, but there are a lot of procrasanators. There might be someone who gets it, throws it in their closet, forgets about it, and two months later realizes it and say, oh yeah. Or they might be like "yeah, I send it tommorrow, and tommorrow, yeah, I send it tommorrow,...". Well you get the drift, not to mention imagine all the other stuff that can go wrong. Well, I hope it doesn't.

BTW: on a sadder note, yeap you guessed it, more computer trouble for me. I wasnt even on last week, and this week, I am on a different comp. This should definatly hold up my checkers game.

**sigh** I know there are a lot of procrastinators out there, heck I happen to be one of them......

BUT, I have faith that all will go well with passing the camera around. No one is being HIGH pressured to hurry up. That wouldn't be any fun at all!
BUT, for now we have nothing but time! Someone goes to their mail box & finds the camera there, they think, hey cool, my turn to take a picture! Yay!!

& as far as messing up a shot.....Hey!! Then take another one. The camera has 27 exposures, So, someone sneaks in an extra shot. Who cares? We're among friends. Friends wont get pissed off if someone messes up & needs to take an extra shot. It's supposed to be a fun leisurely group activity thing. I have nothing BUT faith in things going well here. I love my SC buddys!! & they are well worth having my faith in them.

On a sad note, sorry to hear about your computer dilemma. That is a bummer!!

Pomeranian (he) lives near Enheduanna, he's one of my best friends (so are dab, lara, bill, jen and Enheduanna, for that matter...)

I'd be willing to do this if I'm back in Hong Kong when this happens. At the moment, I'm still in GA---we're going to have the baby here & head back in September (as long as we get a passport for the baby in time...).

Part of me would really like to participate, but I know I'm probably not going to be in the position to be very punctual with my picture taking and shipping, once the camera gets around to me. I'm on the verge of moving to another city, and getting a new job, so I think I'm out this time around. Sounds like fun though, and I can't wait to see the pics! Great job Cleo!

I'll mail the camera to Kristal Rose & she on to Actress (if they participate.......I haven't talked to her or Actress yet) I will email them after I reply to you. Then up to Kate in OREGON, then to Mandy & Sue in WASHINGTON, then on to ZANG ( I don't know where he lives;-() & he can send the camera to someone in CANADA & down to MONTANA.

Just for the record....what state(I'm assuming)you live in the USA, DO you live anyway? Cause I'm thinking after(the state of)MONTANA (where ROCKMAN & GLASSA live the next state after that is WISCONSIN (Where justjulie/heyzeus& Moonstone/Mimind live).

It still happens to me (sometimes)....but, I still gotta have faith in mankind.
My thoughts are that, there are more good natured human beings out there than there are bad. (Well, that I've personally encountered, anyway.)
I think as long as you treat people with kindness that kindness will return to you somewhere, sometime, someday. Mostlikely that kindness won't be show to you by the person to whom you were kind to. BUT, by a total stranger when you least expect it. I believe in karma!! You get what you give!

& I never take stuff like that personal. Stuff like that happen for a reason......to teach you some sort of lesson. What lesson? I don't know. What ever lesson THAT particular person need to learn at the time...I suppose. I learn many different lessons EVERYDAY of my life. I feel THOSE kinds of curve balls are in my life for a reason....... I just go with it & see what happens. If I get screwed over, oh well, I learn THAT PARTICULAR lesson. If I don't? Then it was an interesting journey for me to take. But it's all good!!

If your still here in (September) the US by the time the camera comes around to you, you can take a picture of your new baby too! If not we can send the camera on to Hong Kong if by that time your back in HK.

Biggles (I'm not so much worried about the camera getting lost as the pictures people have taken getting lost - which would be a shame.

Biggles I'm in by the way. But if possible, I'd like to send the camera on to someone in the UK rather than overseas. Let someone with a job (msgman, Dino, Lex, Wicksy, bond_girl) do that, and let the poor student pay less!

Babe! aboard! I'm so pleased that your putting your faith in your fellow SC Buddies. Like I said this is supposed to be a fun interactive SC BUDDY event. So, please don't stress out. So, you & Dino need to get together about this. If you already know his email addy then E him & get to talking about snail mail addys. I know you trust Dino so, all is cool on your end. Romkey is still trying to work it out with Bill,Jenn, Lion, & others in his area. As, soon as Romkey gets his area straightened out with Bill, the camera will be mailed on to you & then it's up to you pass it on to Dino.
