| Zang | posted 21-Jun-2003 5:27pm When I first saw the question, I thought "bookshelf". I think you can tell a lot about a person by what they read. From the options, I would say that the music someone listens to tends to reveal a lot about them. Their appearance, clothing, hairstyle...Not so much the type of house as where it is located. I don't think that a vehicle reveals that much about a person. |
| Enheduanna | posted 21-Jun-2003 5:30pm All of the above and more. They won't necessarily tell you about their lifestyle, but they *can*. Most personal habits say something about a person's lifestyle in one way or another. |
| juliw | posted 21-Jun-2003 6:36pm The way they dress, the types of things they like to talk about, their choices in books, sometimes their choice of jewelry, tattoos, hair styles, things like that. |
| Lahdee | posted 21-Jun-2003 6:50pm None. You can't assume you know anything about a person's lifestyle based on any of those things. |
| LindaH | posted 21-Jun-2003 7:11pm Nothing can tell you a LOT about a person's lifestyle. Some of the things on the list might be able to tell you a little about their lifestyle, but you still could be wrong. |

| Hyena | posted 21-Jun-2003 11:37pm all - but whether or not someone drives is a big one (from an urban point of view). Energy level for sure tells you about their health and from that the lifestyle comes. |
| jettles | posted 22-Jun-2003 6:04am i don't think any one of them tells you a lot about a person but the whole package might!!! |
| Lahdee | (reply to Hyena) posted 22-Jun-2003 9:17am If someone doesn't drive, what does it say about thier lifestyle? |
| dora | (reply to Lahdee) posted 22-Jun-2003 10:04am They're smart? |

| southernyankee | posted 22-Jun-2003 2:11pm Their house and vehicles. And their driving and energy leval habbits. I doubt that music tastes revel that much. Man, the music industry is WAYYY to fragmented these days, but that mostly affects teenages. I guess I could make a judgement on a teenager based on what they listen to, but eventually they grow out of it. I doubt someones musical preference tells us that much. |
| dora | posted 22-Jun-2003 4:01pm Well if someone is into Britney Spears probably is not dating material. |

| Hyena | (reply to Lahdee) posted 23-Jun-2003 2:11am For me it means there's a chance that they've chosen not to drive in order to bike, walk or take transit - and sometimes that means they're environmentally conscious. |
| Lahdee | (reply to Hyena) posted 23-Jun-2003 8:53am Oh, ok. I thought of that, too. There are some other reasons, like my friend used to have seizures and hasn't had one in quite a while, so the doctor gave her the go-ahead to get a drivers license and she is in her 40's. I'm 33 and just now got a permit. Lots of reasons why I put it off. Of course some people I know in real life think that not having a license means I'm lazy. They don't know my background or my reasons, though so *BAH*. |
| autumnlight | posted 27-Jun-2003 12:32pm Clothes, vehicle and house. I swear that if I get rich ehough to afford designer labels I will not buy them, they annoy the hell out of me. |
| livia | posted 9-Aug-2003 12:50am Everything but type of house and energy level. Sometimes you can't choose where you live and your energy levels change constantly. |
