Does anyone know of any Easter eggs on the Internet, games, applications, and/or operating systems?

An Easter egg is an amusing tidbit that creators hide in games and websites, applications, and operating systems. You might want to check here.

I know there's one on the Fellowship of the Ring 4-DVD version, with Sarah Michelle Gellar and Jack Black. I have no idea where it is, though.

Yes! In askjeeves, try asking "Is Jeeves gay?", or instead of a question, type in "drink me" or ask "Is Jeeves stupid?" or "Is Jeeves well-hung?"

On Google, you can use different languages such ad French and Spanish, as well as "Elmer Fudd speak" and Pig Latin.
On Amazon, scroll all the way down to where it says "Directory of all stores", then scroll down to the bottom of the page where it says 1996. Under that line, just move your mouse to find you find a hidden thank you note. On Yahoo Messenger, when you are talking to a friend online, type and you will hear the famous Yahoo yodel, like in the commercials. Unfortunately, I tried this when talking to one of my friends last night, and I could hear it, but she couldn't.

The askjeeves ones were neat * smile *

I don't see the hidden thank-you note on amazon.

What do we type on Yahoo Messenger?

I don't see any results on google when I use pig latin.

Go to www.Amazon.com
Scroll to the bottom of the page, and click on "Directory of all stores"
Go to the bottom of THAT page where it says "1996-2003"
Under that line (you don't see anything) but just move the mouse to approximately under the 6, and it opens to a thank you note to one of the designers, and his favorite Amazon products.

Microsoft Excel used to have one where you hit the right key combination and it became a flight simulator where you'd fly over the names of the people who developed the program.

I just discovered a really funny one. Go to www.google.com, and type in fudging idiot. The first thing that comes up is a site of George Bush quotes.

The old Atari 2600 game "Adventure" had one where you could pick up a dot and it allowed you to walk through a wall and see some text. I think it may have been the first Easter Egg.

I put a few lame-o easter eggs into gametz.com. For example, if you try to report a trade with yourself it says: "Be careful, trading with yourself may cause you to go blind.".

har har har * yawn *
