My passion is Horses, I love them and seem to get along with them even if others can't, and when I'm out riding its like being in a dream world to me.

My passion could be being proud of myself and not feel useless and unworthy.

So...Pride? Fear?

Do something meaningful to have meaning myself and die proud of myself.

I think one of my passions is caring for children. I get along very well with kids, and I get extremely angry when I read or hear anything in the news about anyone doing anything bad to a child.

My child. I am passionate about everything that concerns her although I'm good NOT to let her know it so she doesn't feel undue pressure or expectations. I am passionate that she succeed and have happiness and has the chance to explore all her talents and doesn't just exist like so many people who were never encouraged or believed in or nurtured. Her highs are mine, her lows are mine. I will do everything in my power to make sure I do right by her because I brought her into the world and I am responsible for her until she's capable of taking over the wheel. I get so much back. So much joy.

As fudgeed up as I feel alot of the time, it's that young lady and her well being that keep me...keeping on.

I cannot believe that more people aren't inspired this way by their own offspring. It feels natural to me. Just like a cannot fathom how anyone could abuse a child or make them feel guilty bad and ashamed just to control them or make them behave. I decided to do better than my parents. I decided to love a nurture Mal the way I wish I had been loved and nurtured...I am having a do over with her in a way. I should have been my own mother * raspberry *

Oh no!

You must have one!

I misunderstood the survey thinking the question was about the feeling that drives us...not something like what we want to do,an interest...but well I replied to both things anyway, because the interest is just the way to do it,not the passion in itself.

Yeah, I knew you would like capoeira - of course, you are galomorro. My capoeira name is hiena. And yeah - it's a really tough sport. Sometimes I ask myself in the middle of the class why I would choose to put myself through it - but any accomplishment is hard won and so satisfying! Do you have any ABADA cd's? That's my group. Abada (but not me) is in San Francisco if you want to check them out.

I see more and more young women in capoeira, and they are so GOOOOOD! Stay with it! How could anything be better for you!? No, I have never heard of the group Abada. How many CDs do they have available? The ones I have are 1) Mandingueiro "Capoeira Camara" -- Master Deraldo; 2) Cordão de ouro (Mestre Suassuna e Dirceu); 3) Grupo de capoeira Angola Pelourinho; 4) Capoeira Senzala de Santos. One can never have enough capoeira music (nor videos if one can find them!). I do not yet have any capoeira videotapes; I have, however, seen various in-person demonstrations and several times as short demonstrations on various TV programs.

I've heard of Capoeira Senzala, and I think that my teacher also has Cordao de ouro - so I'm listening to that all the time! Guess what - capoeira videos will be a very difficult prize. my teacher won't let any student borrow them no matter how trusted. But you might be able to get tapes of small presentations from the middle of some program. One other thing - the magazine "Capoeira" from Brazil isn't so good. There's always some white model woman on the cover - and people can buy their way in to getting their story published.

Thanks for the info; I never heard of that magazine. That's not cool to always show white model women; enough to boycott the mag even if I could find it! I have seen various wonderful (but way too short) demonstrations of capoeira in the middle of TV programs too. I wish I could find some at the library. They are far too rare around here. I have heard of some one can buy. Your teacher should tell the students where they can buy tapes for themselves to study at home at their leisure!

Ah Galomorro - he doesn't let students borrow them because they are too precious - Capoeira groups don't share their techniques so easily - there's a lot of politics.
