The birthday cake wish.

It's your birthday and a cake with lighted candles has just been placed before you and you blow out all the candles. Now, what did you wish for?
Many people believe that if you tell your wish then it won't come true, so I want you to assume for this survey that telling your wish will have no bad effects

I wished for enough money to do whatever our new house needs done to it. We just bought our first house and moved in and every day we find stuff that needs fixing or replacing.

You know, I could ask for money, and stuff, but then, you lose things. I'm asking for an opportunity to gain strenght so I can get those things on my own.

No, that's not what I mean. I can get that money I asked for, but then #1 - I didn't earn it, so I 99% won't get much out of it, 2# I wouldn't know what to do with it.

You were taught not to appreciate what you don't earn? That's interesting. I think it's a good thing to appreciate everything you have, whether you earned it or got it free.

As soon as I can save enough money, I plan to. Right now I'm trying to help my son out after he was basically forced to move out by his former roommates before he was financially ready. I've been helping him with groceries and incidental expenses like food and litter for Tilly, the cat.
Cleo

I remember Tilly I'm looking at her picture right now, She is the one that you were holding in your arms...right? She's all white except for eyes the top of her head & the tip of her tail.
darkshadowsseeker
(reply to Cleo) posted 7-Jun-2003 12:51am
That's right. Quincy needs to take her to the vet to get the Advantage stuff put on (to prevent fleas) and get her shots updated so she doesn't get sick. Since she half my cat, of course I'm helping out.
Cleo

Poor kitty. * frown * & summer is right around the corner, so yeah, best to take care of that right away.

(reply to Cleo) posted 7-Jun-2003 1:26am
No, but humans can pick up fleas from grass and transfer them to animals such as cats and dogs. Since Tilly has such dense, thick fur, it's more a preventative as well. With the deformity of her front legs, we have been advised to keep her inside the house unless she is being transported in a carrier to the vet. She isn't able to really run all that fast with her front legs the way they are and couldn't get away from a dog or an oncoming car very easily.

There's this guy I really would like to be with. I wish I would at least find out how he feels about me. He's my friend, I know he has an attraction to me, and I know he wants to have sex with me, other than that, I'm clueless. That was my birthday wish: to know if he likes me anymore than that.
