| darkshadowsseeker | posted 24-Apr-2003 10:43pm Probably...I think the options have to do with binary code. Am I correct? |
| pandora | posted 24-Apr-2003 10:46pm I've been waiting for this to come through qual., just so I could get an explanation. Cause I don't get it! |

| dora | posted 25-Apr-2003 12:50am This has something to do with binary? I picked 0,meaning I not technologically literate...but not being technologically literate I don't know if it's what I really wanted to say. |
| dora | posted 25-Apr-2003 12:51am "I not technologically literate" "I also not literally literate it seems" |
| Dino | posted 25-Apr-2003 4:25am 1 I guess. And if not I'm good with an instruction manual and pick things up or work them out in my own haphazard way. |

| Iseult | posted 25-Apr-2003 7:31am Oh jeez, this is one of those Binary code jokes, right? |
| Jody | posted 25-Apr-2003 8:39am In the world of digital computing, there are on ly two states, 1 (on) and 0 (off). Every number that can be stored, every letter of the alphabet, is represented by a combination of 1's and 0's. That's how computers think. Also, you may notice on your computer, that the on/off switch has a 1 on the on side, and a 0 on the off side. People have mapped this 1's and 0's onto YES and NO also, because that's a logical mapping - 1=yes=on, 0=no=off. And I can't remember - was it in the movie Tron where they had a friend who was a digibit who could only answer questions yes and no? |
| pandora | (reply to Jody) posted 25-Apr-2003 9:02am Thanks Jody, you've cleared it up for me, very slightly |
| Biggles | posted 25-Apr-2003 10:10am Apparently not! |

| dora | posted 26-Apr-2003 12:58pm So I'm literate enough to know 0 was no and 1 was yes...but I picked no.So...? I guess my literacy is the one of a very young child. You know when you know the alphabet but can't really read/write? |
| ihatespiders | posted 27-Apr-2003 1:05am 1 but I want to know more. |
| Kristal_Rose | posted 27-Apr-2003 3:48am 1 Plato had an understanding which would make for a great LISP-like metaphysical operating system, where 0 represented unmanifest spirit, and 1 represented separation of the godhead into a unity of form. |
