What is the highest number that you can count up to?

999,999,999,999,999 I'm not totally sure what comes next. It might be a quadrillion, in which case I could add three more nines and then be confused. Quintillion?

I know I can count at least as high as 10,000, but I've never bothered to see if I can go higher. I have better things to do with my time.

Sextillion is the highest I know without skiping one I'm drawing a blank for the next trillion but after the next one I think its octillion.

Since counting to one billion at one number per second would take 32 years, I don't think I'd have time to count to the largest number I know which is billions of times larger.

I can technically count as high as I wanted for I understand how the system works. I can really only count up to 999,999,999,999,999 because I don't know what comes after a trillion.

... and what is you made a mistake, or forgot where you were counting? Would you have to start again at one? Just how annoying would that be?

It's attached to the same dictionary which is attached to this site. I found it by looking up quadrillion to see if I was right about it being 1000 x a trillion. It isn't very often that you hear numbers larger than so many trillion. I think that once you get into bigger numbers they are usually expressed as blah to the blah power...
