What chores do you never do around the house?

Mopping the floor are the thing I hate most and leave longest.

Theres nothing I don't do every now and then. My fiance and I share the duties... I picked taking out the trash because that's the thing I do the least.

Alas, I do it all. Sometimes someone else will pitch in, but usually if I don't do it or at least initiate it, it doesn't get done.

I have done all of these except online banking.

I *never* did laundry.Never online banking.
The rest I do it very very rarely (such as like mopping floors,preparing supper/lunch,cooking,cleaning bathroom...)or not often but more often (like preparing breakfast,folding laundry,dusting furniture etc.) or pretty often but still pretty rarely (I'm laaaaazy!) like washing dishes (which is a think I love-but my father always do it before me,because I well...dunno...it's the only thing I offer to do.Well preparing breakfast also),go shopping (if you count buying my parents' cigarettes),making the bed,emptying trash.
I feed the pets pretty often even if not everytime they need feeding (mostly because at 7 I'm sleeping and my mom is up-so she feeds them.).
I set the table every day and clear it off almost everyday at lunch since I'm often eating alone or with my mom and she usually goes in the other room watching tv.At supper I set it,but my father clears it.
Basically I don't do anything and do the leech ...but there's nothing I *never* did...if someone is sick,or out of the house,or simply needs help is not like I refuse to do stuff...but mostly I like to be served.

I never did the laundry bit.Wait,maybe I did and don't remember...I put things in the machine sometimes but I don't think it really counts...

i tend to not avoid any particular, but at the same time, i avoid all the chores as much as possible. well, currently i am in the dorms, so i dont really have any actually chores. i usually tend to avoid cleaning the bathroom (oh crap, that reminds me, my turn is coming up). lets see here, i never make my bed, i just let it be unmade, i dont get any mail, ah, thats about it. hey, i dont really not do any of these.

I don't own a vacuum. Consequently my apartment has not been vacuumed since I moved in. I think it could really use it.

I don't have a pet, so if I forget to feed it for a year or two, no harm done.

I live alone, so helping out with family members isn't something that I do around the house.

I do all my banking at a bank machine.

I don't shop online.

I don't consider a lot of these to be chores... I enjoy many of them... I don't really make the bed but I straighten the sheets... I like the bed that way... and I love cooking... the only one I'm not happy to do is cleaning the bathroom...

I don't have a table, but otherwise i do it all and have been since I was 12 or so.

Carpet-sweepers are less monumentous and more spontaneous, and you can use them at 3am without waking your neighbors. You can even pretend you are using a push mower.

My sweet hubby is nice enough to sweep (daily, damn these wood floors) take out the garbage, and scoop the kitty litter. I do most of the rest, except set the table, because we don't have one.

I do it all except that I don't make my bed and don't see the need to.

Well I don't shop or bank online but them aren't chores. Oh I just added 3 minerature goats to my list of animals to feed, they are cool!

I'll keep that in mind. I suspect they are less expensive too. I used to just crawl around on the carpet, picking up bigger and more visible stuff. Now that I've been here going on two years, that system doesn't work so good. I have a broom and I sometimes use that to sweep the carpet, but that doesn't work so well either.

Let's see...I don't feed pets because we don't have any, I don't set or clear the table because my roommate has all sorts of crap piled on it and we eat off TV trays, I don't help out family members because none live with me, I don't prepare breakfast because I don't eat breakfast, I make my bed (smooth the bottom sheet and replace the comforter and I'm done!), but my roommate is on his own for that, I make lunch for myself when I'm home, my roommate does the same, but I always fix dinner unless we are eating out, I don't do online banking or shoppping at all, I do my own laundry (as if I would consider touching my roomie's socks or underwear-well maybe if he paid me. The man takes one shower a week whether or not he needs it!). Anything I haven't mentioned, I do.

We have hardwood floors as well. Those suckers certainly get dusty fast!

Making the bed every morning is just busy work and a waste of time. I don't make the bed unless I've washed the sheets.

Otherwise, I'm the one who does most everything. Even when I was sick Saturday, guess who did the dishes...ME! I laid down on the floor in the middle of it.

I wouldn't want carpet, but the wood sure is a pain in the neck, especially with three cats tracking who knows what around. Bleck. :D

I put one of those big square fans on the floor with some lace (an old dress) over it to filter out all the cat-hair, dust-bunnies, and spider webs I would otherwise have. I just throw the lace in the laundry weekly. Tacky cheese cloth would probably be more effective, but costly.

I'm having a hard time understanding the concept, but I'll work on it some more :D

All the air in your home circulates through your fan on the floor, and the lace traps all the stuff that becomes dust balls. I place mine between the kitchen and the living room.

I dont consider online banking and online shopping 'chores around the house', but I am a stay at home mom and do everything listed except feeding pets because we have none. Even if hub helps, I still do those chores too. Oh, also-helping with family members-the ones in the house, yes, (kids, hub) but not family outside the home (inlaws)

I will let my female Sweetheart slide on it for now tho cause she just had her first kitten 30 min ago!!

My roommate is installing carpet in the living room, hallway and the computer room later this month. He already has carpet in his room from when the entire house (except the bathroom and kitchen/dining room) was carpeted previously. There isn't much I can do about it as it's his house, but I prefer the hardwood floors over carpet any day!

I do everything except make the bed. In our house, there's nearly always someone in it, so that's impractical.

I just drape the airy skirt over the sucking side of the fan. The fan sits on the floor. I think it would be less effective mounted higher.

LOL that's funny...but hmmm true...maybe I wont share that info with her seeing as she has a pretty easy life already!

I do it all except shovel snow. The last time I did that my husband didn't talk to me for 3 days. He was sick with cold or something and had to work overtime so I thought I'de help out. The problem was he had just bought a new snowblower and wanted to play with it.

You can use them as air conditioning too. Long ago cars had things hanging out the window which the wind passed through to evaporate a cannister of water. Water cools when it evaporates. I hear they still make something using this concept called a swamp cooler. You can make one yourself though by draping a hand towel over your fan with a water bottle trickling onto it. (or you can just soak the towel every hour or two)

My in-laws have a swamp cooler and it cools very nicely.

Yep. One of my cats lost his collar lately. It was ultra-deluxe with porcelain coi bells, a yin/yang clasp, and a tri-color weave.

Vaccuuming, mopping, cleaning the bathroom - at home my parents do it, at university the scout does it.

Also, making breakfast (I don't eat it) and ironing (at home my mum does it, at uni I do my washing in small lots so I can hang everything so it dries flat).

Most of the time someone elce does the dishes,as a trade off I do the laundry.

How was your Easter weekend? Mine was great.....I baked cookies all day & ate & ate & ate.

I do everything except the washing.

We have a division of labors. I prefer the 'wet' cleaning so I do the bathroom and kitchen stuff. Anne does the 'dry' work, dusting and vacuum. I HATE vacuuming. I can't cook to save my life, but I'm working on that. I don't do the banking.

My roommate is responsible for preparing his meals, doing his laundry, doing his own shopping, banking, cleaning. We do take turns keeping the kitchen/living room areas clean. He does it one week, I take it the next. However, I take care of my cat on my own.
