| Strider | posted 22-Mar-2003 12:33am none are belivible at all. |
| Irene007 | posted 22-Mar-2003 3:58am I didn't pick any since I never heard of them... However, the one about a Corvette being sold for a ridiculous price is the winner. (The owner died in it and was not found for many weeks. The car has been cleaned but the smell of decaying flesh cannot be removed...) I heard it when I was about 16 and the guy swore that he knew someone that knew someone who was selling it. Years later I read, on a site about Urban Legends, the same story (the price tag was different). |
| Kristal_Rose | posted 22-Mar-2003 6:59am 1 - seems like a synchronicity experience, if nothing else. 2 - less credible because dog is choking. 3 - terribly involved. |
| mrnemo15 | posted 22-Mar-2003 8:09am #3 was disgusting!! |
| Cain | posted 22-Mar-2003 9:31am The murderer in the back seat is the only one I'm familiar with so I chose that as the most believable. I thought the fingers down the dog's throat was the least believable. |
| ROCKMAN | posted 22-Mar-2003 9:39am #1 Guard dog #2 Murder in the back seat #3 Sweet dreams |
| ROCKMAN | (reply to Kristal_Rose) posted 22-Mar-2003 9:44am I heard of a dog choking on fingers before, I think thats true, maybe not like this story went tho. |

| romkey | posted 22-Mar-2003 10:22am none of them... |
| Enheduanna | posted 22-Mar-2003 10:23am None of these is particularly believable. The man in the back seat would just have killed her; the dog would not have choked and the guy would have left the house; the man under the bed wouldn't have bothered. |
| mandy | posted 22-Mar-2003 3:33pm None of the above. |
| Glassa | posted 22-Mar-2003 4:44pm Murderer is the best, could easily be true. Sweet dreams is second, it could happen too. But you would think she'd be able to tell the difference between a dog lick and human lick. Guard dog: Least believable. Anyone missing fingers isn't going to hang around without making noises. Too painful. And you'd think she'd see the blood. |

| harekrishnadasa | (reply to anonymous) posted 23-Mar-2003 3:33pm how come most of your links are through the tinyurl.com? I find big urls don't work most of the time. Do you get money for this? No. Hare Krishna! |
| linny21 | posted 23-Mar-2003 7:24pm Not sure I believe any of them but I rated them in the order listed as most to least believable. |
| Maarten | posted 24-Mar-2003 5:20am 1. guard dog 2. back seat 3. sweet dreams But they are all bullcrap of course. |
| Dino | posted 24-Mar-2003 8:05am The sweet dreams is pretty stupid. Like you really wouldn't look at your dog before switching out the light. |
| Zang | posted 24-Mar-2003 1:04pm They are all pretty unbelievable, but the order you listed them in seemed appropriate. |
| playful_devil | posted 24-Mar-2003 1:18pm very disturbing..... |
| Iseult | posted 24-Mar-2003 8:54pm Second one is definitely the scariest one. |
| southernyankee | posted 24-Mar-2003 11:44pm 1) guard dog 2) murderer 3) sweet dreams the first one is the easiet to believe. it is simple, and boring. so some guy tried to break in, as they do every 10.something seconds. they dog attacked him and bit off his fingers, went away, while the guy is just standing there not know what to do. 2) there are a lot of tailgators out there, especially rapists. i have heard of a rapist (a serical rapist) that tried to do a similar thing to some teacher i once knew. she called the police, and she found out what he was. the guy in the back sounds kind of odd. i mean who in the hell goes out of their way to sit lie there like that. i would imagine it be pretty boring and at the same time anieous. it would seem staisticly odd for this to be all going on at the same time, and the guy in the back seat would probaply be going nervous out of his mind with all the accelating and decelating and sudden movements on the car. this leaves with one hightly probably explaintion: these guys are in on it. they are both friends who are trying to team work rape the woman, and planed this whole thing out, and it exites the hell out of them. the last one those, this guy must not have a life. it would take a lot of time stalking, and breaking like that would probaly be next to impossible. first, being quiet, and then you would have to kill the dog, which of course will resist, and that would create a lot of noise. |
| southernyankee | (reply to Enheduanna) posted 24-Mar-2003 11:48pm the back seat one does sound creadible. he could be a rapist, and so could the guy chasing them. they could be in on it as a team. the chocking one, i guess you right, it probably wouldnt have happened, and the guy in the bed, hey, there are a lot of screwed up people out there, so yes, some guy would bother. |
| Cleo | posted 25-Mar-2003 3:55am 1 Guard dog 2 Sweet dreams 3 Murderer in the back seat. This choice is least believable Because... who is telling this story?? How does anyone know that there infact was a man in the back seat? Did the murder tell someone that HE was in the back seat?? Interesting survey...... I give it 2 |
| Lex | posted 25-Mar-2003 4:42am I dont beleive any of these. |
| wolfchik9 | posted 27-Mar-2003 12:10am Sweet Dreams sounds like another one I heard... it was used in the movie Urban Legend. The girl goes asleep with headphones on and hears her roommate screaming as she's squirming in bed with another person, assumes she's having great sex with the other person, and wakes up with a dead roommate and a note in blood on the wall. Another with a summer camp, same scenario except the girl comes into the room and decided not to turn the light on because the roommate is "busy." The message reads, "Aren't you glad you didn't turn on the light?" Or something like that. |
| Jemmy | posted 27-Mar-2003 3:37pm Sweet Dreams, Murderer in the back seat, Guard Dog. |
| ihatespiders | posted 26-Apr-2003 12:36am There was a similar incident to the murder that really happened. In the 1960s my mom was working at the Sara Lee plant on 2nd shift. One night when they got paid.A friend of my moms got in her car and was stabbed to death by a guy who was in her backseat, he ebntended to rob her. To this day I look in the back seat of my car before I get in even if its locked. |
