| kaleb777 | posted 16-Mar-2003 12:12am Yes. I would fast forward my school years. They were fudgeed. |
| romkey | posted 16-Mar-2003 8:49am No... tempting as it might be, I'd much rather be present for my life and learn to deal with the consequences of things that I do |
| dab | posted 16-Mar-2003 8:51am I'd use the instant replay feature all the time to catch things I missed. |
| ROCKMAN | posted 16-Mar-2003 8:53am Yes, hell yes this would be a great invention. I would probably use all of them features. |
| jettles | posted 16-Mar-2003 9:17am naaaaahh, i have grown from everything that has happend......... life is life. |
| casey30 | posted 16-Mar-2003 10:39am oh nonono... can u imagine.. you get angry kill someone...opps delete.. wild night of sex...one becomes pregnant ..oppps delete... but on the other hand...u make a wrong turn..car crash.. delete... all in all i think even though the features would have good and bad...... but...i think it would limit our emotional growth |
| dora | posted 16-Mar-2003 12:56pm No.Sounds scary. |
| mandy | posted 16-Mar-2003 3:16pm If my life were TiVo!!!!!!!!!!!! How many times have I dreamed of this. Unfortunately, Sue would not be permitted to touch my remote especially since the "Survivor Deletion Incident of 2003" |
| pterodactyl | posted 16-Mar-2003 8:19pm Abso fudging lutely. |
| Cain | posted 17-Mar-2003 6:28am No. There are many parts of my life I'd like to forget completely and others that I'd like to stretch for as long as possible. But now I've learned to live with myself, I wouldn't want to screw around with it. |
| Cain | (reply to jettles) posted 17-Mar-2003 6:29am That's what I was trying to say - you put the point across much more effectively. |
| ventolin | posted 17-Mar-2003 8:36am I wouldnt change a single moment in my life. I'm ok with myself. |
| Biggles | posted 17-Mar-2003 9:32am I took this question to literally mean a remote control, not a way to redo things. I didn't think about a rerecord button. |
| juliw | posted 17-Mar-2003 5:56pm nope |
| Galomorro | posted 17-Mar-2003 8:44pm Good invention. There are things I wouldn't mind deleting or rewinding. |
| linny21 | posted 17-Mar-2003 9:42pm I'm not sure.....would have to really think about it. |
| punkess | posted 18-Mar-2003 1:22am certain moments of a persons life are exquisit in its presence. Love could be truly cherished, and bad memories could be erased from time. We learn through our mistakes, but what if there was never any war. Thousands of families might still have their loved ones. |
| Dino | posted 18-Mar-2003 7:58am Oh, hell yes I dream of this. But then I get a philisophical and then say no. My life to date has been one long suckfest but then things are slowly improving - (a teeny bit) and who knows what kind of person its made me. Had my life gone perfect and I hadn't made the mistakes I did I may have turned into a two dimensional wanker. As it is thought I have painful thoughts about my life and thats the truth. |
| southernyankee | posted 18-Mar-2003 3:48pm yeah, probably. i probably would over-realy on the rewind button. for one, to fix my previous mistakes, and two, to relive great moments. i would be however very touchy on using the fast forward button. even crap that i dont like to do, or are boring, i would still rather experience most of them rather than avoid them. as for bordom, i would rather live through it, that way at least i get my incoherant daydreams out of that, instead of nothing. overall, as far as society is concerened, this would be a bad invention. people could use it as a bussiness time machine, or whatnot to make themselves near invincible. also, reliveing the same moments or similar ones to best get the best results could mean a much more boring life. then again, this could be like sliding doors and spice up our lives this way. well, this would be a bad invention, but if it were around, i would certainly use it. i would be sure to take the full advantage of it. |
| TylersMamma | posted 19-Mar-2003 1:50am There are a lot of moments in my life that I may not be proud of... There's also a lot of things I look back on and think "What if?" But I would say all in all i'm happy with my life right now so I would be scared that if I changed anything I wouldn't be where I am or who I am now. |
| sonikJ | posted 19-Mar-2003 9:01pm Yes!!!! This would be a good invention. I would have 'paused' the birth of my son and my second wedding...those events always go by too fast. You really need more than a fleeting moment to grasp them entirely enough to really cherish them. |
| Cleo | posted 20-Mar-2003 12:05am If only............. But yeah! That would help. I've had my share of bad times & also made SO many mistakes in my life that I would like to rewind them so I could delete or change those particular events. There are even some times in my life that I would've liked to have lasted longer,so I'd pause those times. As for fast forwarding?? NO fast forwarding for me. I'm on fast forward now. Good survey. |
| triplet | posted 20-Mar-2003 4:47pm I am certainly not putting this on here for sympathy or pity..... My 5 year old son past away suddenly and unexpectedly (due to medical negligence) in Sept. of 2000... so I would delete this in a heart beat if given the chance. |
| Emma20 | posted 20-Mar-2003 6:02pm Yeah Ive some some pretty embarassing things in my life! |
| mandy | (reply to triplet) posted 20-Mar-2003 9:49pm I am so sorry. You deserve to delete that! |
| triplet | (reply to mandy) posted 20-Mar-2003 11:21pm Thank you Mandy. |
| dora | (reply to triplet) posted 21-Mar-2003 6:20pm Sorry to hear about it! |
| Cleo | (reply to triplet) posted 21-Mar-2003 11:26pm I think I just answered you in another survey. Hi triplet,I'm Cleo. My heart aches for you & my prayers go out to you & your loved ones. ((((((((HUGS))))))))) The loss of a 5 year old child can not TRULY be felt unless one experiences it also.I have not experienced the loss of a son or daughter(only a 5 month miscarriage)& I hope I'm dead before I EVER have to feel that pain! As you know.....I too have recently suffered the loss of a 5 year old (grandson) due to a rear end car collision on the coast highway,in Santa Barbara county California. The driver was driving with a suspended drivers license, because of previous DUI's.She is going to be charged with manslaughter. & probably only serve 3-5 years in jail. She & her passenger were playing a handheld video game while driving. > I hope that in time I will feel again. Email me if you'd like to talk about your son's passing.Okay? Here's my email addy: dabprovin@msn.com Aloha,Cleo |
| dora | (reply to Cleo) posted 22-Mar-2003 11:50am I feel sorry for you and your family |
| Cleo | (reply to dora) posted 22-Mar-2003 5:55pm Ohhhhhhh! Thank you Dora. It's pretty devastating when it actually happens to you. One always thinks it's going to happen to someone else ....not you.Never in my whole life, did I EVER think that my husband & I would be planing funeral arrangements for one of our grand children. Thanks again Aloha, Cleo |
| dora | (reply to Cleo) posted 22-Mar-2003 5:57pm Was he your daughter's or your son's child? |
| nasale | posted 23-Mar-2003 5:16pm YOU BETCHA! More than I care to revisit. There's still things that I wish were a whole lot better, but I'm also thankful for what I have that's good. |
| nasale | (reply to mandy) posted 23-Mar-2003 5:25pm Hey Sweetie! I'll be danged! it's YOU! I didn't mean to ignore you! I forgot you changed your handle! You used to be somebody else, but now you're you! Here I was yapping away back at your reply, and I'm thinkin'Hmmmm Mandy- why don't I remember her? Well, I'll be hornswaggled! You came back! (or was that me? |

| Cleo | (reply to dora) posted 25-Mar-2003 12:30am Donovan was my 31 year old daughters only son. He had just turned 5 on December 22nd. Donovan & his 6 year old sister Kiley, were able to see & play in the snow for the first time in their lives on his 5th birthday. They had recently moved from Honolulu, Hawaii on October 7th & were only here in California for 5 months. It was the first time that they had ever left the islands. GOD!!!!!! I miss him so much. http://www.riversongs.com/exrv27/tu.html |
| gimmy_ju | posted 30-Mar-2003 2:58pm i would never delete, other wise i wouldn't be the person i am now...but i certainly would pause on my second kiss...and probably hold it for a few hours... |
| kac243 | posted 31-Mar-2003 12:27am absolutely, granted its fantasy but there are plenty of times where theres too much happening it would be nice to go back and get a better chance at responding to it all. then their is times you say something and it comes out soooo very wrong, oh the usefulness of such an invention is endless!! not to mention if you knew then what you know now wow the world would be a different place |
| Ellipsis | posted 2-Apr-2003 11:38pm I would definatly use it, but It would only work if I was the only person that had one, if everyone had one things would get out of hand. |

Rewind would be handy for instant replays of great sex too!
