I do a lot of outside activities, and especially when mountain biking we all get sweaty. I don't mind at all hugging my SO after a good ride, or riding with my friends in the car. We just smell like we smell. I do use deodorant at work, for the same reason I don't wear heavy perfume at work - I don't want to impose on others.

I in fact like my lovers to smell sweaty when we're playful ...

There are people who smell bad to me, but I can like someone despite this, tho' I've learned not to date them. Many people smell fine in normal doses, but are pretty rank in large ones (e.g. bike messengers in an elevator). Other people smell fine to me no matter how strongly they smell.

I'm incredibly sensitive to smells, and often notice if friends have changed soap or eating habits. I find that emotions also have strong smells.

I'm comfortable with the smell of most others; there are a few people that could stand to shower more often. This has nothing to do with whether or not I like them, as far as I can tell.

I've known people with strong and terrible scents who I was friendly but I have to admit that the strength of their smell really did put me off

I was on a trip back from Germany and there was this guy from Austrailia that smelled so BAD! You could smell him from 10 feet away. I was going to go to the duty free shop and buy something to spray on him but them I saw on his ticket that he was sitting far from me. Those poor people. I like the smell of most women.

I am comfortable with me.. and others, as long as it isn't overpowering.. meaning relatively clean people.

i'm very self-conscious (hey is that hyphen right?) of my body odor...it's not that i dislike it, it's more of a social acceptance thing...i would never let my own personal hygiene get so bad as too offend someone else with my body odor...that's just me...and who i am...since we are being so PC...no offense to those of a culture that don't use deodorant

I find that some people smell *right* and some people smell *wrong* (their natural scent). That has actually been a compatibility consideration when choosing a mate - whether they smell right or wrong.

I like the way many (though not all) humans smell, but only when fresh. I don't use deodorant as long as I can shower daily; if I can't for whatever reason then sometimes I do.

I really hate it when I'm out in public somewhere and I catch a whiff of a strong body odor. It's always so yucky. When I worked at the university, there was one guy in the lab who ALWAYS stunk. People used to complain about him, but what was I supposed to do? He was a student too, just a stinky one. It's hard to be tactful when handing someone deodorant or soap, especially if you don't know the person well.

One of my closest friends that I've known since childhood has a very distinct scent. Her entire family has the same smell, even her newborn child. I find the scent kind of nostalgic, but not bad.

My grandmother's house had a certain smell - I smelled it once on a male coworker of mine and it was really confusing.

ya know of the senses, the olfactory gland brings back the most memories...weird huh?

The olfactory system (there's no gland) is most directly connected to the part of the brain that's primarily responsible for memory. It's the oldest of the senses, and so it's wired in differently from all the ones that were added on later.
