| bill | posted 27-Dec-1998 7:50am halogen reflected off the ceiling or walls is the best |
| Mimi | posted 27-Dec-1998 9:53am I'm not too fussy about the type of lighting I use; as long as I can read it, I'm happy. |
| jjg | posted 27-Dec-1998 11:21am I prefer incandescent lighting. Fluorescents are too dim. Natural light hurts my eyes and gives me a headaches. |
| daver | posted 27-Dec-1998 11:49am Roughly in order: Natural, flame, halogen, incandescent. After that, I don't really care. |
| pandora | posted 27-Dec-1998 12:45pm I guess I have no real preference. I prefer bright, natural light for applying makeup. That's about as far as it goes for me. |
| they | posted 27-Dec-1998 2:19pm all depends on what i'm doin, when i'm doin it. definitely when reading, sex-sometimes, working on a project-yes, on the computer-naaa, personal hygiene(brushing teeth, hair, etc.)-a must...very bright, you get the idea |
| phi | posted 27-Dec-1998 5:57pm A mix is really best. |
| lbergman | posted 27-Dec-1998 7:04pm I hate the new car headlights! Really distracting. |
| romkey | posted 27-Dec-1998 9:11pm full spectrum incandescent bulbs and halogens are my favorites |
| hunter | posted 28-Dec-1998 12:16am I really don't like the new car headlights. I find them overly bright and annoying. I like halogen lights instead of overhead lights...I find them less oppressive. I hate fluorescent lights, although some of the new compact ones are ok. |
| Jody | posted 28-Dec-1998 9:02am Actually, I prefer sunshine, but it's not available 24 hours a day! |
| reality | posted 28-Dec-1998 9:39am no preference, as long as it is light enough for whatever it is that I am doing.. |
| anonymous | posted 28-Dec-1998 9:43am I prefer the light from the burning hearts of my enemies. |
| milktree | posted 28-Dec-1998 11:26am The closer you can get to full spectrum lights (I think natural sunlight is best) the better it is. I hate sodium bulbs and flourescent lights for everything except for the most industrial of applications where you don't have to spend much time under them. Mercury vabor lamps are better for street lights than sodium because the color isn't so wonky. |
| lisashea | posted 28-Dec-1998 12:29pm I like natural lighting best of all. |
| steve | posted 28-Dec-1998 3:27pm Dim. I prefer dim lighting. I just don't care what the source is; I really, really don't. |
| eris | posted 28-Dec-1998 7:10pm I have a strong negative preference against the new car headlights. This one could have been ranked to good effect. |
| hillbilly | posted 29-Dec-1998 6:43am Road flares |
| magbast | posted 2-Jan-1999 1:59pm colored lights for sex...black light is pretty cool too ;) |
| reality | posted 4-Jan-1999 5:13pm black lights? ew... an area that is lit with a black light is usually a purple(ish) fog to me. I hate the things... (not that it matters to you |
| steve | posted 4-Jan-1999 6:50pm I also have a problem with black lights. My eyes start to burn after a little while under a black light; I suspect a sensitivity to UV, possibly due to the fact that I never go out in the sun without heavy dark glasses. (My last several pairs have been UV-blocking.) This was the only thing wrong with Blue Man Group for me, not that it would stop me from seeing them again. |
| Mattias | posted 29-Jan-1999 5:01am That was a whole bunch of checks. It's so dependent on what the situation are. |
| jcdino | posted 20-Feb-1999 6:16pm I do NOT like the new car headlights. They hurt my eyes. |
