What would you do with the money?

You know, you can just rip up the check without cashing it.

I don't know, I'd probably invest it and live off the interest. Especially after a few years of this! I guess I'd have to report it for taxes, and if the feds gave me any hassles about where it came from, I'd just dummy up. What drug dealer? Where?

Well, assuming that these cheques started rolling in when I was nine months old (it says EVERY Christmas) I would have had $18,000,000 by the time I graduated from high school. More than enough for any reasonable person, I would think. I'd probably buy a nice big house and some cool toys. I'd buy some real estate, start a few businesses. I'd probably wind up giving most of it to charity. Otherwise I'd be sitting on $40,000,000 by now, give or take, and that is WAY more money than I would know what to do with.

I would spend money ONLY on myself. I don't see an option for that.

Spend it on myself, my family and give lots of donations to bird rescues, and other wildlife rescues. I would put myself through college to learn as much as possible about birds so I would be ready to begin my own heavenly parrot rescue.
It doesn't matter where the money came from, I would just hope that my family member wouldn't be harmed by what he is doing.

I would spend the money on myself and my best friend. Buy a house. Eat out a lot. Buy good wines. Etc.

I would spend the money entirely on myself and those I care about. I'd invest some of it, too.

i would be inclined to spend/or save most of it for me and my family and a few others. and give SOME not the REST to charity. charity starts at home and hell ya i want some cheesy poofs! i may be greedy and selfish, but i am honest about it. but i guess if i get a mil every year, i would probably give more away than i think.

I would use it to find the guy who's sending it to me.

Half me and half charity for the first year.
Then less for me and more to charity but not just blindly giving to charity but maybe setting up grants and stuff on drug awareness and and rehab programs.

Assuming they didn't mean anything to me, I'd hand the money into the police. It's not worth getting arrested over.

That much money gets invested, not put in the bank.

I would spend some of the money to make my life comfortable and give the rest to charity.

i would spend some (a good bit) of it on myself, and give the rest to some charity, annonomosly off course.

I'd think up some serious money laundering schemes, then spend some/save some/give some away. Then figure out a way to tell this relative when my birthday is, too.

If it was cash money, I might keep and spend some. Cashing a million dollar check from someone I know to be a criminal doesn't seem like a terribly bright idea.

Do you think that people that benefit from welfare really think about the poor guy who gives a good chunk of his hard earned money to keep them alive (or working "under the table" so they can have a brand new TV and all their toys?) while he has an old hand-me-down car and TV?

I would give some to family members and charities, maybe set up a scholarship fund or something, while living better than comfortably myself. I'd probably try to start a fashion design label. Maybe I'd put some in an anti-drug company thing. That's be funny.

Definitely bank the money and live off the interest. Of course, that's after I've paid my college tuition and made some home repairs and bought vehicles that could stand up to this awful road we live on!

I would spend enough money on myself/family to live comfortably, then bank the rest for emergencies (hospital, etc.). I would return the interest of the money to the drug dealer family member.

If i'm getting this every year i'd do something different each year but i would set myself up 1st, no doubt in my mind.

Hey, I'd buy a yacht the first year and bank the money the rest of my life living off of the interest.

If I didn't tell the police, they'd eventually track me down... that's a lot of money to end up in someone's bank account, I'm sure the IRS/FBI/etc would have alarms going off somewhere.

WOW, first instinct is to get everything I've ever wanted or needed. Spend, spend spend. But then second thought, I'd be scared and wouldn't the IRS wonder how you got it. Then the police would become involved I'm sure. I think I would keep it, but be very cautious with it. Pay all taxes due to keep the trouble away. Use it to start charities to get people off drugs. How ironic? Give some to the police for bullet proof vest and other equipment to battle the drug dealers.

I chose banking the money and giving the rest to charity because then i am doing something good and I wouldn't have to worry about sending more of my earned money to charity.

Hey, money is money, if this family member of mine is stupid enough to sell drugs or more, if people are stupid enough to buy the drugs, it's on them, to me, it's just a holiday gift, it's not hurting me and the money is already there for the taking, if it wasn't coming to me then it would probably go to buy more drugs. So, what the hell ya know....oh, i'd give some of the money to charity, just cause I'm a nice person, regardless of where it comes from.

There is no way on earth I would keep this money! Any deposits over 10,000 dollars sets off alarms and the IRS or FBI would be knocking on my door. Pffft, easy question. NEXT!

It would be hard to do anything with that money without the IRS wanting to know where you got it. Maybe you could launder it thru the Vatican bank.

DA*N if I had that kinda money rollin' in I would buy madd stuff and the little that was left put in the bank for emergency use.

I wouldn't put it in a bank! I don't know where I would put it, but I wouldn't spend it because when this drug dealer comes looking for his money 10 years later he's probably going to be pissed.
