| rhino3 | posted 21-Nov-2002 9:52pm The answer is: The day before and the day after the Major League All-stars Game. |
| Maarten | posted 22-Nov-2002 4:16am Luckily in my country there are a LOT more than 2. |
| Biggles | posted 22-Nov-2002 6:35am Is this some kind of riddle? |
| Biggles | posted 22-Nov-2002 6:37am Oh, I'd bet that there *are* professional sports games the day before and the day after the "Major League All-stars Game" (whatever that is) if you aren't so ethnocentric. |

| msgman | posted 24-Nov-2002 4:14pm I'd be extremely surprised if there were any days on which there are no professional sports games. Sport is so ubiquitous, worldwide, and there are so many different professional sports, that I'd say it's almost a continuous process. Christmas and Easter wouldn't be it, as sport is played in non-Christian countries - I doubt that cricket stops for Easter in Pakistan, for example. |
| msgman | (reply to rhino3) posted 24-Nov-2002 4:46pm According to the MLB website, the Major League All-stars Game this year was on July 9th. this website lists nine professional sports matches taking place on the 10th July 2002, and that's just one sport! I can't find any for the th July, on a fist look, but I'm certain that there were some, somewhere. |
| rhino3 | (reply to msgman) posted 24-Nov-2002 6:49pm Hmm, I took this question out of a trivia book, which I will now have to locate to double check it. Were the games you speak of televised? The link you sent was county championship cricket...does that count in this survey? I'm asking. In any case, looks like I messed this one up by not being more specific...there were only a couple of people who got it or came close. Sorry... |
