What are the only two days of the year in which there are no professional sports games?

This includes MLB, NBA, NHL, and NFL

Hint: The correct answer does not involve actual names of days or dates. For example: "Sunday, January 1, of any year" would be incorrect on all counts.

Oh, I'd bet that there *are* professional sports games the day before and the day after the "Major League All-stars Game" (whatever that is) if you aren't so ethnocentric.

Ah, Saddam Husseins' birthday? North Korean Drive Tanks Through Town Day?

What does MLB stand for? How did this parochial crap get through?

I'd be extremely surprised if there were any days on which there are no professional sports games. Sport is so ubiquitous, worldwide, and there are so many different professional sports, that I'd say it's almost a continuous process. Christmas and Easter wouldn't be it, as sport is played in non-Christian countries - I doubt that cricket stops for Easter in Pakistan, for example.

According to the MLB website, the Major League All-stars Game this year was on July 9th. this website lists nine professional sports matches taking place on the 10th July 2002, and that's just one sport! I can't find any for the th July, on a fist look, but I'm certain that there were some, somewhere.

Hmm, I took this question out of a trivia book, which I will now have to locate to double check it. Were the games you speak of televised? The link you sent was county championship cricket...does that count in this survey? I'm asking. In any case, looks like I messed this one up by not being more specific...there were only a couple of people who got it or came close. Sorry...
