| Iseult | posted 18-Nov-2002 5:44pm My sister just rented Scooby Dooby Doo. That's one of the worse. |
| spidertea | posted 18-Nov-2002 5:44pm The only movies I really dislike are the ones where the plot is weakly threaded together just enough to allow gratuitous sex and violence. |
| dora | posted 18-Nov-2002 5:47pm Well all the Christmas soft porn Italian comedies qualify! I *hope* you'll never see them, but I'm sure you have similar stuff. |

| Biggles | posted 18-Nov-2002 6:29pm Scary Movie 2 is the one that comes to mind. |
| romkey | posted 18-Nov-2002 7:06pm it's quite possibly the one I'm watching right now... Scooby Doo... |
| Iseult | (reply to dora) posted 18-Nov-2002 8:38pm Actually, now that you mentioned them, I kind of feel like seeing them. |
| Irene007 | posted 18-Nov-2002 10:34pm Hochelaga I doubt that anyone (besides Mat) has even heard of this. It's about the biker gangs of Montreal that hang out in the "Faubourg à Mélasse" (the Molasses Burg - where the sugar factories are). Hochelaga is the name of a street in that area. The movie sucked, I watched 10 minutes and returned it to the store. Do I really want to watch a movie about the low-lives in my city? Not really, I know too many of them personally and don't care to be entertained by them... |
| Irene007 | (reply to spidertea) posted 18-Nov-2002 10:36pm That just disqualified a whole lot of movies from your collection!! |
| anoddoblivion | posted 18-Nov-2002 11:25pm Scary Movie, by far. Yes, it is my same answer for my other movie. It just so happened the worse movie I've ever seen cost me $5.00. |
| anoddoblivion | (reply to darkshadowsseeker) posted 18-Nov-2002 11:26pm Sorry Kate. I'll check a little better next time. |
| southernyankee | posted 18-Nov-2002 11:33pm punch drunk love, spice girls, the new guy, zoolander, and i am sure that i have seen some more very crappy movies, but i cant think of them of the top of my head. |
| Zang | posted 19-Nov-2002 1:28am "Can't Stop The Music". After a few attempts, I finally managed to force myself to sit through the whole thing. It is really bad. Directed by Nancy Walker, famous for her "Rosie the waitress" in a series of paper-towel commercials ("It's the quicker picker upper"). |
| kaleb777 | posted 19-Nov-2002 2:30am Eraserhead is the worst movie of all time. |
| kaleb777 | (reply to Biggles) posted 19-Nov-2002 2:32am What about the guy with the hand!? |
| Dino | posted 19-Nov-2002 7:44am I walked out Romper Stomper (starring a very young Russel Crowe) because the violence was too shocking for me. I hated 'Lost in Space'. And I hate all films with Nicholas Cage because he's such a crap actor. |
| Iseult | (reply to southernyankee) posted 19-Nov-2002 8:06am I heard really good reviews for Punch Drunk Love. Why do you think it's bad? I'm planning on seeing it. |
| dab | posted 19-Nov-2002 9:44am "Just Imagine" |

| Glassa | posted 19-Nov-2002 6:12pm I have a few. My husband is into "B" horror movies. But the one mainstream movie that I can think of is "Eyes Wide Shut." Oh, it was awful! |
| romkey | (reply to dab) posted 19-Nov-2002 11:34pm "don't sing!!!" |
| romkey | (reply to msgman) posted 19-Nov-2002 11:34pm I loved The Fifth Element... |
| romkey | (reply to dlp34) posted 19-Nov-2002 11:35pm I loved Jacob's Ladder too... |
| romkey | (reply to cuteasabutton) posted 19-Nov-2002 11:35pm and I really loved Moulin Rouge! That movie seems to really polarize people... they either love it or hate it. No flack... I'm sorry you hate it... I wish you could see it the way I do |
| jekaba | (reply to anoddoblivion) posted 19-Nov-2002 11:59pm hi, thought this might interest you. i left it on the ocean survey in qual right now, but wasnt sure you would go back there so i am sending it this way: anoddoblivion: it is new. here is what i found: The Earth's oceans are all connected to one another. Until the year 2000, there were four recognized oceans: the Pacific, Atlantic, Indian, and Arctic. In the Spring of 2000, the International Hydrographic Organization delimited a new ocean, the Southern Ocean. It surrounds Antarctica and extends to 60 degrees latitude. |
| anoddoblivion | (reply to jekaba) posted 20-Nov-2002 3:09am Thx. I saw it. Pretty cool stuff. |
| Dino | posted 20-Nov-2002 7:56am Has anyone ever seen Grease2? This is supposed to be infamously bad and I'd really like to see it just to be sure. |
| Irene007 | (reply to spidertea) posted 20-Nov-2002 8:03am Figuratively speaking... |
| jettles | (reply to Dino) posted 20-Nov-2002 8:59am grease 2 was VERY bad but it can squeak by just by the fact that you get to watch michelle pfieffer for and hour and a half or so!!! but that is it's only redeeming quality!!!! |
| autumnlight | posted 20-Nov-2002 10:41am Ace Ventura:Pet Detective. I hate Jim Carrey |
| msgman | (reply to romkey) posted 20-Nov-2002 1:07pm I just though it was incredibly corny. It was pretty much sci-fi by numbers. |
| romkey | (reply to msgman) posted 20-Nov-2002 5:05pm it definitely was... with a certain visual flair |
| darkshadowsseeker | (reply to anoddoblivion) posted 20-Nov-2002 10:21pm Thank you. That would be appreciated. |
| spidertea | (reply to Irene007) posted 21-Nov-2002 5:59pm |
| Irene007 | (reply to spidertea) posted 23-Nov-2002 9:16am OK, imagine that you DO have a movie collection (as many people have), you wrote; "The only movies I really dislike are the ones where the plot is weakly threaded together just enough to allow gratuitous sex and violence." So, if you had a collection; then it wouldn't include most of the films produced these days as they are just as you described... In other words; I agree with you! |
| Enheduanna | (reply to kaleb777) posted 24-Nov-2002 10:48am I forgot about Eraserhead! You're right, that is absolutely the worst movie ever made!! But I love David Lynch's other work. |
| kaleb777 | (reply to Enheduanna) posted 24-Nov-2002 11:02am Yeah, that's what pissed me off the most about it. They had "Directed by David Lynch" promenantly on the cover. Talk about sucking us in. I even *tried* to see anything good about it, but it really sucks. The alien-type baby thing was weird. |
| Enheduanna | (reply to kaleb777) posted 24-Nov-2002 1:03pm The whole thing was weird! It left me with that frustrated, confused "Huuuuuh?" kind of feeling. |
| kaleb777 | (reply to Enheduanna) posted 24-Nov-2002 1:57pm Yeah, I watched the whole think only because I somehow thought it would make sense in its entirety. It was woeful. |
| Enheduanna | (reply to kaleb777) posted 24-Nov-2002 2:48pm I saw it when I was living in Israel; this really cool theater had a special David Lynch night--they showed Fire Walk with Me and Eraserhead. I guess they just had a warped sense of David Lynch's finest work. |

| mandy | posted 24-Nov-2002 5:01pm *shocked by people who said* salmonberries(one of my all time favorites) Fifth Element(one of my all time favorites) Jacobs Ladder(rawked) |
| kaleb777 | (reply to Enheduanna) posted 25-Nov-2002 5:16pm Were people pretending to appreciate it or did they all think it was crap? |
| Enheduanna | (reply to kaleb777) posted 25-Nov-2002 9:58pm I don't really remember. I don't recall any explicit booing or anything. The friend I went with definitely thought it was poo, too, though. |
| Lex | (reply to cuteasabutton) posted 28-Nov-2002 9:58am MR is a great film... how can you not like it? I went to see it twice. |

| wolfchik9 | posted 1-Dec-2002 7:35pm The Island of Dr. Moreau |
| cuteasabutton | (reply to Lex) posted 4-Dec-2002 3:40pm I don't know why really- I just began to feel bad for the actors, like I was embarrassed for them. Glad I am not the only one |
| sunshine | posted 5-Dec-2002 11:03pm Aliens 3 |
| Analog | posted 12-Dec-2002 3:32pm Tough to say - there's an "apples vs. oranges" problem comparing some of them. Since I'm being asked to pick, I'll choose Blood Waters of Dr. Z. It's about a mad scientist who turns himself into a half-man-half-catfish creature and goes on a killing spree. It's a very bad movie. |
| sonikJ | posted 18-Dec-2002 11:26am "Emmanuelle", "On Golden Pond", "It's Pat!", "Power Rangers", "Congo", "This Island, Earth", "Don't Tell Mom, The Babysitter's Dead", "Mystic Pizza", "Ice Pirates", "Waterworld", "Stuart Smalley Saves the World" and "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids". |
