Do they taste good? |

No, I wouldn't consume them, but I would want them labeled for those who chose to. |

If I was hungry enough. |

I have no idea. I'd have to know more about it. That sounds like the worst kind of factory farming. What would be the advantage of cloning animals for human consumption? |

I would purchase and use by-products such as leather, etc. I would not eat them, and would definitely want them labeled. (I am not a vegetarian) |

Not only wouldn't I eat them, but I would want them labeled for those willing to take the risk of eating cloned animals. I don't think we know enough about the long term effects of eating cloned animals. I do know that most of the animals that have been cloned have had a higher incidence of birth defects and that in itself can't be a good sign. I'd give up eating meat first before I would eat cloned animals. I don't eat that much meat now, so giving it up wouldn't be that much of a hardship. |

Yes but not if it was genetically modified. |
| joachim | | posted 15-Oct-2002 10:37am |
I would be all over that. Actually, I wonder if more vegetarians would start eating meat if it was cloned (in vitro) rather than taken from animals. |

i dont eat meat but my family does & i would want them labeled |
| Cain | | posted 15-Oct-2002 10:49am |
I don't eat meat anyway so it's not really an issue. |

I'd want them labled. I would at least try the product. |

I'm a lacto-ovo vegetarian and I would want to be certain that the eggs, milk & butter (which are the only animal products I consume) are not from cloned animals. I'm not certain that they would be safe to eat and I certainly would want labeling so I know which products are from cloned animals. |

I don't know but they better be labeled. |
| meyoume | | posted 18-Oct-2002 3:15pm |
But we may be eating them now, you know chicken isn't always chicken |
| Biggles | | posted 21-Oct-2002 3:30pm |
I'm a vegetarian. Even if I was a meat eater I would boycott cloned meat until technology advanced. I support cloning, I don't support mass cloning animals with the technology we currently have. It's cruel to the animals which are often deformed. |

if and when (if we aren't already) are subjected to cloned animal by-products, i don't think they'll tell us |

No, I would not consume them and would want them labelled. Hopefully that will never happen. |

if proven' safe why not eat it |
