| cody | posted 30-Sep-2002 7:52pm Straight out of the bag, of course! |
| darkshadowsseeker | posted 30-Sep-2002 7:58pm Hot with sugar in the Winter. Iced tea with sugar during the Summer. I also like Snapple's Raspberry Tea as well. |
| Zang | posted 30-Sep-2002 8:12pm I drink iced tea more often. I always keep a big tin of Nestea lemon crystals in the larder. In the summertime I keep a big jug of it in the fridge. I also like hot tea, which I drink with cream and sugar. It is nice to have with some buttered crumpets and jam, for a little snack. I drink Red Rose tea (only available in Canada). If I'm feeling flush, I'll get a little Formosa Oolong. |
| spidertea | posted 30-Sep-2002 9:23pm Spiced chai - hot! |
| Galomorro | posted 30-Sep-2002 9:28pm Iced tea unsweetened with lemon; herbal tea if spicy/sweet, usually iced; flavored teas such as Snapple -- with lemon. Lemon is required. Iced is preferred. I do also like Thai Iced Tea with condensed milk in it. |
| romkey | posted 30-Sep-2002 9:28pm iced, unsweetened, with lemon or hot, unsweetened, no lemon, no cream properly made from loose leaves sometimes homemade chai |
| Iseult | posted 30-Sep-2002 9:29pm Nestea. That's what I drink most of the times. |
| Iseult | posted 30-Sep-2002 9:30pm When, it's hot, I only like sugar. Milk or cream makes me puke. And I drink coffe the other way - very little sugar, and a lot of milk (not cream). |
| romkey | (reply to Zang) posted 30-Sep-2002 9:35pm I used to drink Nestea all the time as a kid. My parents never had good tea, just Lipton's and Nestea. Eventually I had real iced tea and I couldn't drink Nestea anymore. |
| lily333 | posted 30-Sep-2002 10:03pm Hot,sweetened with honey and milk. |
| mandy | (reply to romkey) posted 30-Sep-2002 10:07pm That chai you make is brilliant! |
| confetti | posted 30-Sep-2002 11:00pm I love Diet Snapple. Iced tea is also one of my weaknesses but it's a teeth-stainer and I'm obsessed about having chiclet-white ones. The times I want hot tea are very rare (I live in the tropics, gosh darnmit) and when I do, I pour half a bottle of honey into it. |
| romkey | (reply to mandy) posted 1-Oct-2002 12:49am thank you! it's pretty easy... I made chai pancakes with chai whipped cream and took them to teatray for the brunch chef to try... trying to get him to want to put them on the menu |

| Zang | (reply to romkey) posted 1-Oct-2002 5:04am What do you mean "real" iced tea, like made from tea? |
| monica_potter | posted 1-Oct-2002 6:34am I've tried tea a couple of times. Quite frankly, I hate it. |
| Dino | posted 1-Oct-2002 7:18am Earl Grey - weak, no milk. Two sugars |
| jettles | posted 1-Oct-2002 9:02am english breakfast... hot, unsweetened with half and half......... mmmmmmmmmmmmm!!! |
| Enheduanna | posted 1-Oct-2002 9:38am Hot, unsweetened is my favorite. Sometimes I take milk. I also like iced tea. I hate sweetener in my tea. |
| Enheduanna | (reply to Zang) posted 1-Oct-2002 9:41am You can get Red Rose tea in the US. (Sorry to be the one to tell you!) |
| Biggles | posted 1-Oct-2002 9:42am I've only tried normal tea once and it was horrid |
| Cain | posted 1-Oct-2002 9:58am Tetley tea bag, a fair splash of milk and one heaped teaspoon of sugar. I drink about 10 cups of tea per day. Fantastic stuff. |
| romkey | (reply to Zang) posted 1-Oct-2002 10:40am yeah! believe it or not that's where it all starts! |
| i_like_fish | posted 1-Oct-2002 11:21am Yeah!!! I've got to have my iced tea...who can actually live without it...i mean really.... |
| anoddoblivion | posted 1-Oct-2002 11:49am Cold sweetened tea is good. But I do love the type that comes pre mixed, just stir it in and add some sugar. That's the best. I have to add sugar, I'm a sugar feind! |
| moonstone | posted 1-Oct-2002 12:45pm Very hot with milk, not cream, and sugar. |
| bandit1cat | posted 1-Oct-2002 1:01pm Tea is on the level of diet soda - both suck. |
| Glassa | posted 1-Oct-2002 1:53pm Usually I'll take it to the trash as I'm not too fond of tea, but Snapple is pretty good. |
| kwilgo | posted 1-Oct-2002 2:41pm and it has to be Lipton! |
| msgman | posted 1-Oct-2002 3:22pm Hot, unsweetened, with milk. Which isn't actually covered by the options, despite being the normal way of taking tea pretty much everywhere except in America! |
| kaleb777 | posted 1-Oct-2002 3:24pm I don't HATE tea, but I don't drink it. I think the flavour is too weak compared to coffee. |
| mandy | (reply to romkey) posted 1-Oct-2002 6:50pm I hope he does! Then you'll be like *booming voice* Famous Chai Dude of Doooooooomy Doooooom!!!! |

| Strider | posted 2-Oct-2002 12:36am hot with milk |
| bcollins | posted 2-Oct-2002 1:15am Why isn't there an Other option for those who don't hate tea, but don't find it to be their favorite drink? I don't hate tea, but I prefer coffee. |
| Zang | (reply to Enheduanna) posted 2-Oct-2002 1:37am Oh. No big deal. I was just mimicking one of their old ad campaigns for the possible amusement of my fellow Canadians. It was like their big slogan, they did it for years. I think the point was that it wasn't available in the UK, because they would always have some Brit doing the slogan...It is a good thing I don't watch TV any more. I really think it may have warped my mind... |
| romkey | (reply to mandy) posted 2-Oct-2002 1:38am The Chai commands you! |
| Zang | (reply to romkey) posted 2-Oct-2002 1:39am I think I'm probably far too lazy to go to that much trouble...in spite of the fact that I will precook potatoes just to make hashbrowns... |
| Enheduanna | (reply to Zang) posted 2-Oct-2002 9:12am Well, clearly that reference flew right over my head! I don't think I've ever seen a commercial for Red Rose tea here. Or anywhere else, for that matter. I can relate to commercials being dementia-inducing. It's crazy the number of little memes I have floating around in my head from commercials I saw in my childhood. For instance, when I was little there were commercials for a brand of fertilizer called Bandini. One of the ads featured a man skiing down a huge pile of manure, and all of them had the slogan "Bandini is the word for fertilizer." Well, here in Boston there is a news anchor whose last name is Bandini. So every time I hear or see her name, I think "Bandini is the word for fertilizer." It's terrible. That being said, there are also some really cool commercials out there these days. |
| romkey | (reply to Zang) posted 2-Oct-2002 9:28am I've never heard of doing that before... how does your hashbrown recipe go? I just make iced tea two huge pitchers at a time; we drink a lot of it. |
| Zang | (reply to Enheduanna) posted 2-Oct-2002 10:37am Yeah, I don't see too many lately, but I did see one a while ago for pepsi that really cracked me up. They used "I Ran" by A Flock Of Seagulls in it. I won't bother describing it, you probably saw it. I thought it was hilarious! |
| Zang | (reply to romkey) posted 2-Oct-2002 10:44am Well, you start off with potatoes that have been previously cooked and are sitting in the fridge. Then you slice them up and fry them in a frying pan. Nothing too complicated really...I had a baked potato for dinner last night, I cooked a couple of extra ones for hash browns...that reminds me; I better put eggs, cooking oil, butter and bread on the shopping list...and juice... |
| romkey | posted 2-Oct-2002 11:10am yum |
| romkey | posted 2-Oct-2002 11:10am ah my favorite way to take tea is likely in London with lion and Enheduanna |

| Amanda | posted 3-Oct-2002 10:40pm sweet, iced tea with or without lemon |
| dora | posted 3-Oct-2002 11:23pm Hot,both sweetened and unsweetened. My favorite way to take tea is the right way to make tea.No teabags, all the kettle and powder thing. But I often don't have the time and go for the teabag or even ( I also found today that I like coffee.Well,I always liked coffee flavour, but everytime I tried to drink a proper cup of coffee I would get all sick and nauseous. Also, the sugar was always too little or too much.Well,I found out that I just have to add a little water after making it and I can drink it. I think I'm going to try coffee like they do in America, which is more my taste maybe. But,well I don't plan to start drinking coffee.I mean I had to quit with tea for health problem, coffee would be worse. And I still like tea more.So from now one will be a cup of this and a cup of that only when I need it. |
| dora | posted 3-Oct-2002 11:28pm 5/6 cups a day half machine tea and half super-powerful-so-black-it-looks-like-coffee tea. I also went on a iced tea binge once.I was a tea-addict or something.I remember once asking for another pot of tea in a bar and the barman looking me as I just ordered a bottle of whiskey and wanted another.Well,okay.I drank like 3 or 4 machine's teas, and two pots of normal tea. Then I went back to school and felt like I was on coke or something.Never took cocaine, but I took diet pills and I must admit that I was more bouncy and wired on tea. |
| Bibliophile | posted 4-Oct-2002 9:30am Growing up, I had sweetened ice tea every night at dinner. It is still my favorite, but I don't drink it as often any more. |
| Cleo | posted 5-Oct-2002 6:15pm Mostly iced tea & sweetened. |
| Oskars_Weiner | posted 11-Oct-2002 7:17pm If I had been living during the revolutionary days, I'd be there helping the colonists toss the tea into the bay at the Boston Tea Party. Most disgusting drink there is except for diet coke. |
| mikehunt696 | posted 12-Oct-2002 1:39am Sweetened iced tea, but it has to be Red Rose tea. |
| wolfchik9 | posted 16-Oct-2002 1:51am Hot and sweetened with magnolia milk. |
| they | posted 24-Oct-2002 2:11pm OTHER! Tea for the most part sucks.. the only kind I will drink is instant iced. |
| magbast | posted 25-Oct-2002 3:10am gimme some good ole southern, like ya grandma made, sweet ice tea |
| clare | posted 2-Aug-2006 12:33am I don't hate tea, just don't like it. I don't like coffee either. My idea of a hot drink is hot chocolate. |
