| Iseult | posted 29-Sep-2002 12:41am Phaw... it goes like this: Personal Appereance Sexual Pleasure Family Friends Financial security Health Happiness Hm... personal appereance... my friends tell me I place too much time in what I'll wear and how will I wear it... I know that I can find a flaw to Christian Dior model, but c'est la vie. Come to think of it, sexual pleasure being more important than family... |

| Iseult | (reply to Matt) posted 29-Sep-2002 10:09am Yeah, I know. I am not French, though. |
| confetti | posted 29-Sep-2002 10:51am Family, friends, happiness, health, personal appearance, financial security and sexual pleasure. You missed a very important one itself: intellectual stimulus. |
| jettles | posted 29-Sep-2002 11:20am happiness, health, family, friends, sexual pleasure, personal appearance, financial security. although i feel all are closely connected to happiness and health--then the rest seem to fall into place!!! |
| juliw | posted 29-Sep-2002 5:37pm Family is first. Personal appearance is least important. What really matters is what you are like on the inside. |
| Zang | posted 29-Sep-2002 8:43pm Okay. Now what? |
| spidertea | (reply to confetti) posted 29-Sep-2002 10:43pm Yeah, that's a good one. |

| monica_potter | posted 1-Oct-2002 7:08am Um yeah. Family comes first. |
| southernyankee | posted 1-Oct-2002 9:58pm 1) Health (duh, at least to me) 2) Financial security (at least security where I am not worried about living in a van) 3) friends From here on, its a tough choice: 4) appearance 5) happiness 6) sexual pleasure 7) and last but least, no wait, yes least, family sorry, but ever since the disechantment of the Industal Rev, the stenght and importance of familly is becoming weaker, and I can't find any good reasons for the importance of strong families. Just take a look at India, where familily and religious ties are strong. Because of that attidute, these people are way behind. Just take a look at any rural town for that matter, they can have their lousy kinship, family atomosphere bullcrap, but when it comes to the bottom line, their standard of living sucks, and I don't have time to feel guilty about helping out everyone but myself, I need time for myself too, and these people tend to be a bunch of intorant butt-holes anyways, and I almost would say that they deserve their plight. The only reason I ranked friends so high is that they are vital to my mental health and happiness, yet unlike family who you are stuck with, you can dispose of frinds as you and they just drift away. BTW: great survey: perhaps the best one within the last 30 days. |
| Wicksy | posted 2-Oct-2002 10:30am Good survey! For those that put family ahead of happiness, answer yourselves this: Would you really choose family ahead of your own happiness? For example, if they didnt like your SO and told you to choose between them or your SO, what would you do? |
| LindaH | (reply to Wicksy) posted 2-Oct-2002 11:58am I put family first because I was thinking of my hubby and kids. When you get an SO and move in together, that becomes your family. |
| Maarten | posted 3-Oct-2002 8:32pm 1. health 2. happiness (not the movie) 3. friends 4. financial security 5. sexual pleasure 6. family 7. personal appearance |
| Maarten | (reply to Wicksy) posted 3-Oct-2002 8:34pm Choosing your family over everything else is VERY American. |
| Bibliophile | posted 4-Oct-2002 10:03am I think all of these are pretty important, except maybe personal appearance. If you have all the rest, it doesn't really matter what you look like, right? Most people are concerned about personal appearance to help them get the other stuff. |
| pepperdrinks | posted 6-Oct-2002 2:18am My friends are my family...... |
| pixieraine | posted 7-Oct-2002 3:10am meh. they're all important. |
| Cleo | posted 9-Oct-2002 2:17am 1 & 2 family....my husband & children (also as mentioned above by pepperdrinks) my friends ARE my family! 3 health.......without health you can not enjoy the rest 4 & 5 happiness...... to enjoy the the "Financial Security" 6 & 7 sexual pleasure.... & I hope my "Personal Appearance" appeals to my husband at the time of sexual pleasure. |
| skrku | posted 15-Oct-2002 1:10am all of those options are equally important to me. |
