| joachim | posted 26-Sep-2002 6:40pm Again, it involved driving. Other than that, I don't think I've ever been able to kill anybody. |
| juliw | posted 26-Sep-2002 6:41pm No, thank God! |
| bandit1cat | posted 26-Sep-2002 6:48pm Remember Mandy from my Hypertales.com true life story? Pushing the kid down his basement stairs when I was 7 or 8. Just for fun. I suppose driving 120 mph on country roads when I was 16 could have ended in myself and my friends dead. Came close couple other times but we don't talk about that subject anymore. |
| mandy | (reply to bandit1cat) posted 26-Sep-2002 7:17pm Yes. |
| Enheduanna | posted 26-Sep-2002 7:20pm I've driven a car and nearly been in accidents a few times, no doubt. There have also been times when someone has so pissed me off that I "could have killed them," but I would never actually (intentionally) kill someone. |
| seven | posted 26-Sep-2002 7:43pm Every day, in the car. |
| bandit1cat | (reply to mandy) posted 26-Sep-2002 7:51pm The story isn't far enough along to talk about the other times. You'd like those I'm sure. Can't discuss that here or Kate would blow a gasket. |
| Iseult | posted 26-Sep-2002 7:57pm Yes, and it was when the person pissed me off. And I actually wanted to kill the person... |
| mandy | (reply to bandit1cat) posted 26-Sep-2002 8:09pm Hypertales. Keep writing. I'll keep reading. |
| romkey | posted 26-Sep-2002 8:24pm every time I drive the car. |
| kaleb777 | posted 26-Sep-2002 9:25pm Yes. Every time I have driven a car, operated heavy machinery, made food for another person, pushed someone in the pool, dunked a person, played rugby etc etc. |
| kaleb777 | (reply to juliw) posted 26-Sep-2002 9:26pm You must live in a bubble! |
| LindaH | posted 26-Sep-2002 9:55pm No, but I've been in a situation where I could have poked an eye out. |
| Dino | posted 27-Sep-2002 7:32am Sadly yes - at a very dark period in my life. A very dark haunted young man lying next to someone and thinking what if........ |
| grmbrand | posted 27-Sep-2002 8:06am Every time I get behind the wheel of a car, I suppose. |
| justjulie | posted 27-Sep-2002 8:23am i know that i told this story before, but i was sleeping and i rasied up against the ceiling and PUNCHED my so at the time squarely and directly in the chest, could've killed him if it was inbetween heartbeats |
| Biggles | posted 27-Sep-2002 8:43am I've been on the phone at times when my dad's been on call and before he had a mobile. If he'd been needed and work couldn't get a hold of him, I suppose someone could have died. |
| confetti | posted 27-Sep-2002 12:50pm Probably. If I hadn't always had a clear head when handling a gun, a knife or poison...God, and I could have smothered someone at a sleep-over or something with a handkerchief. It's funny how people actually wonder why there are murderers. One of the reasons there are any is because it's so easy to be one. |
| Zang | posted 27-Sep-2002 1:06pm No I don't think so. |
| dora | posted 27-Sep-2002 3:11pm No.Well when at 7 I pushed my table at school on that stupid boy, maybe I could have hurt him,but killing is a bit exaggerated. |
| juliw | (reply to kaleb777) posted 27-Sep-2002 6:07pm Not hardly. I just can't recall it ever happening. I don't drive. I have never wished anyone dead or anything like that. |
| kaleb777 | (reply to juliw) posted 27-Sep-2002 7:06pm Ever made someone a chicken sandwich? |
| romkey | (reply to bandit1cat) posted 27-Sep-2002 8:44pm was your intention for the survey to ask whether we ever seriously thought about killing someone, or whether we've just had the opportunity to kill someone? |
| jettles | posted 27-Sep-2002 9:09pm it would have been at work and with someone who was very sick. |
| juliw | (reply to kaleb777) posted 28-Sep-2002 7:30am Okay, I get your drift. I have cooked for people. I have had colds and other contagious diseases. I have smoked. I guess I didn't think my answer through. Thank you, Kaleb, you are absolutely right! |
| they | posted 28-Sep-2002 9:19am Driving with a car full of people the first time I tripped on LSD, driving as drunk as I've ever been a week after I got my license, hit a pedestrian once... I'm sure there are many many more. Also, (as I mentioned in a previous survey) scaring my SO who has anxiety disorder, high blood pressure, and heart disease. He could have keeled over I suppose... but I'm still giggling. |
| Cain | posted 28-Sep-2002 9:24am All the time. I'm just waiting for someone to really piss me off. |
| kaleb777 | (reply to juliw) posted 28-Sep-2002 6:19pm I'm having a go at the suvey creator more than you. They seem to forget that even if we don't know it we can affect people all around us whether we want to or not. |
| bandit1cat | (reply to romkey) posted 29-Sep-2002 3:48am Any situation - accidental, seriously thought about it, almost did but stopped short, whatever. |
| romkey | (reply to bandit1cat) posted 29-Sep-2002 8:29am thanks - that's what I thought you meant |
| Jemmy | posted 29-Sep-2002 7:30pm Probably..... |
| southernyankee | posted 1-Oct-2002 10:19pm yes, I used to play for some junior golf program, and I really sucked. I hit the ball, it went very side ways, barly forward, and it has stuck the rims of a golf cart while people where still in it bouning off. And this is why you should always stay behind a golfer, even if your talking just slightly being ahead. Eventually, I got better, and most of my shot were half decent, but some of them just plain went off the target. Man, my golfing sucked so bad that one time, I actually somehow managaged to make the golf ball go backwards (don't ask how). |
| warp9 | posted 2-Oct-2002 5:18pm a john stiffed me. |
| Oskars_Weiner | posted 10-Oct-2002 2:02pm Frequently |
| wolfchik9 | posted 16-Oct-2002 1:43am I guess every time you have a passenger in your car it's a possibility that you could crash into something or drive off the road or bridge. It's a big stretch for this question though, I think. |
