Have you ever been in a situation where you could have killed someone?

You name it, intentional, accidental, whatever.

Again, it involved driving. Other than that, I don't think I've ever been able to kill anybody.

Remember Mandy from my Hypertales.com true life story? Pushing the kid down his basement stairs when I was 7 or 8. Just for fun.

I suppose driving 120 mph on country roads when I was 16 could have ended in myself and my friends dead.

Came close couple other times but we don't talk about that subject anymore.

I've driven a car and nearly been in accidents a few times, no doubt. There have also been times when someone has so pissed me off that I "could have killed them," but I would never actually (intentionally) kill someone.

The story isn't far enough along to talk about the other times. You'd like those I'm sure. Can't discuss that here or Kate would blow a gasket.

Yes, and it was when the person pissed me off. And I actually wanted to kill the person...

Yes. Every time I have driven a car, operated heavy machinery, made food for another person, pushed someone in the pool, dunked a person, played rugby etc etc.

Sadly yes - at a very dark period in my life. A very dark haunted young man lying next to someone and thinking what if........

I've been on the phone at times when my dad's been on call and before he had a mobile. If he'd been needed and work couldn't get a hold of him, I suppose someone could have died.

Probably. If I hadn't always had a clear head when handling a gun, a knife or poison...God, and I could have smothered someone at a sleep-over or something with a handkerchief. It's funny how people actually wonder why there are murderers. One of the reasons there are any is because it's so easy to be one.

Not hardly. I just can't recall it ever happening. I don't drive. I have never wished anyone dead or anything like that.

was your intention for the survey to ask whether we ever seriously thought about killing someone, or whether we've just had the opportunity to kill someone?

Okay, I get your drift. I have cooked for people. I have had colds and other contagious diseases. I have smoked. I guess I didn't think my answer through. Thank you, Kaleb, you are absolutely right! * smile *

Driving with a car full of people the first time I tripped on LSD, driving as drunk as I've ever been a week after I got my license, hit a pedestrian once... I'm sure there are many many more.

Also, (as I mentioned in a previous survey) scaring my SO who has anxiety disorder, high blood pressure, and heart disease. He could have keeled over I suppose... but I'm still giggling.

I'm having a go at the suvey creator more than you. They seem to forget that even if we don't know it we can affect people all around us whether we want to or not.

yes, I used to play for some junior golf program, and I really sucked. I hit the ball, it went very side ways, barly forward, and it has stuck the rims of a golf cart while people where still in it bouning off. And this is why you should always stay behind a golfer, even if your talking just slightly being ahead.

Eventually, I got better, and most of my shot were half decent, but some of them just plain went off the target. Man, my golfing sucked so bad that one time, I actually somehow managaged to make the golf ball go backwards (don't ask how).

I guess every time you have a passenger in your car it's a possibility that you could crash into something or drive off the road or bridge. It's a big stretch for this question though, I think.
