Hubert's Brain Council is my favorite option, but I'm going to say Hudson Bay Company.

Were you thinking of HSBC? I know the first thing that came to my mind was the US tv channel, but that's HBO (last episode of the current season of Oz tonight!)

I checked google after to get the name of the bank and came up with the answer of the above. Honestly I checked afterwards. I'm right. Still non the wiser though. Never heard of them.

Founded in 1670, the Hudson's Bay Company's (HBC) chief interests for its first two centuries were the fur trade, exploration and settlement. After 1870, when its territory of Rupert's Land was incorporated into the Dominion of Canada, its interests became more varied. Today, as Canada's largest non-food retailer, it is best known for its national chain of department stores, the Bay and Zellers.

So, that's what it stands for. They never tell you that. Worried I guess that people will get all xenophobic and not join because its not British. They seem to do a good service - which is what counts at the end of the day.

It's actually the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (I opened a statement after writing this today).

This is a really good survey. Almost as good as the "what the hell is wrong with the Canadians, anyway" survey. Every time I go to canada I am plagued and tormented by this question (and for months afterward, too). Why oh why do those Canadians make life so unbearably difficult for their Southern cousins? I hope it's HBC I'm remembering.

Oh, I was thinking of HSBC but I still reserve the right to be mad at all Canadians.

I don't really know. I put Here Before Christ. It sounded the most logical one although I wouldn't know otherwise.
