| dora | (reply to confetti) posted 21-Sep-2002 9:34pm You don't seem stupid. You sometimes seem too idealistic and even sappy, but really NOT stupid. Were you drunk or in love or what? |
| Galomorro | posted 21-Sep-2002 9:43pm I liked to think of my body as an advertisement of my opinions at the time. Unfortunately, shortly after I got the two tattoos (one on each arm, around the same time), I lost interest in the rock group and became a bigger fan of another rock group, but never did get any other tattoos. Now I would rather wear T-shirts advertising my opinions! |
| Amanda | posted 21-Sep-2002 10:06pm I'm not really sure why I got my tattoo. I guess I just wanted one. I decided on the design for a butterfly for two reasons. 1)I've always liked butterflies 2)They represent freedom, change, and peace to me |
| dora | (reply to Amanda) posted 21-Sep-2002 11:15pm What a caterpillar calls death for a butterfly is just the beginning! The original quote was different, but I can't rememeber... |
| Amanda | (reply to dora) posted 22-Sep-2002 12:00am I wish you could remember the original quote. That sounds like something I would say. |
| dora | (reply to Amanda) posted 22-Sep-2002 12:05am "What the caterpillar calls the end of the world the rest of the world calls butterfly." (Richard Bach) Is beautiful!! |
| Amanda | (reply to dora) posted 22-Sep-2002 12:37am That's really awesome. I'm going to write it down in my notebook full of quotes. I read them when I'm feeling down or if I bored and stuff like that. Okay. I'm going to go smoke, then go to bed. I've got to get up early and go to my oldest niece's soccer game in the morning. They are playing a tournament. They tied one game and won 2 games today, so they go back tomorrow to play. If the win in the morning, they'll play in the championship tomorrow afternoon!!!! She'd kill me if I over-slept and missed her game. I go to all of them. My younger niece plays soccer, too. So, I have to juggle between to the, to make sure I get to watch both of them every Saturday. Most of them time they play on fields that are within walking distance from each other and play at different times. Not today, though. I had to miss my oldest niece's game, so I could watch the younger one play. I'm running my mouth AGAIN! You can tell me to shut-up at anytime now!!! |
| Enheduanna | posted 22-Sep-2002 12:52am I'd wanted one for a long time, but I hadn't thought of a design that I really wanted. When I finally figured out the perfect tattoo for myself, I got it. |
| spidertea | posted 22-Sep-2002 11:00am They're cool. Wanted to try something new. Multi pick! Multi pick! Multi pick! |

| mandy | posted 22-Sep-2002 4:35pm I always wanted tattoos, all my life. My parents said no. My husband said no. When I left my husband, my new SO and I went together and got each other's names tattooed on our breasts. It was an amazing experience and created in us an urge to be tattooed more and more...it snowballs!!!!!! We each have 4 now. 2 of ours match. |
| juliw | posted 22-Sep-2002 6:46pm No tattoos for me! |
| cody | posted 23-Sep-2002 1:09am Well, like I said before, I don't have a tattoo, but I do have a marking on my left arm (outside of bicep) where I cut a girl's name in a few years ago. We were in love, it seemed like the thing to do. No, it WAS the thing to do, Friends are fine to be released, eventually, no matter how good, we part paths some day. We shake hands, and say, 'It's been well travelling with you'. However, with a lover, we say "It is for the sole purpose of travelling with you, that I have even bothered with the journey." |
| Dino | posted 23-Sep-2002 7:29am Reasons why I havn't gotten a tattoo. It seems to me that the only people getting tattoos are cool, fashionable, sexy people. I don't feel like that and I don't want to get a tattoo and look like mutton dressed as lamb. And I worry about the future too - see previous tattoo survey. |
| Cain | posted 23-Sep-2002 9:35am The first one was just to piss off my parents more than anything. It had the desired effect. The second was a part of my love affair with dragons and everything they mean to me. |
| grmbrand | posted 23-Sep-2002 9:56am No tattoo. |

| southernyankee | posted 23-Sep-2002 5:31pm Hey, I had a similar survey done about a year ago. > |
| ASB | posted 23-Sep-2002 6:02pm I did it myself because I was bored and had some ink when I was about 15 |
| jettles | posted 23-Sep-2002 6:31pm because i felt a need to adorn my body with a tattoo. |
| bcollins | posted 24-Sep-2002 2:24am While I don't personally have a tattoo, I think this survey should have been multiple pick. A person could have a multitude of reasons for choosing to get inked. |
| joachim | posted 26-Sep-2002 9:44am I am too lazy to get a tattoo. It takes me a long time to convince myself that I want to do something and by the time I do, I'm not interested in it any more and I don't do it. That's why I never got my ear pierced, or any stuff like that. |
| romkey | (reply to joachim) posted 26-Sep-2002 2:09pm they're so last-millennium, anyway. |
| joachim | (reply to romkey) posted 26-Sep-2002 6:33pm Maybe I should get "Millennium 2000" tattooed across my chest! |
