| mikehunt696 | posted 25-Aug-2002 6:58pm Why isn't there an option for those who never listen to music when they are online? |
| darkshadowsseeker | posted 25-Aug-2002 7:25pm I do not EVER listen to music while I'm online! There should have at least been an "Other" option for those who don't ever listen to music while online, for those who don't listen to music at all and for those who are unable to listen to music while online (some access the internet at work or such public places as the library). |
| SueBee | posted 25-Aug-2002 8:34pm One Week by Barenaked Ladies. iTunes rules!!! |

| Galomorro | posted 25-Aug-2002 9:52pm Yes, to one of 3 CDs my neighbor burned for me -- "900,000 tons of steel" by Phil Lesh & Friends. I like to listen to my music CDs when playing round on the Web. |
| spidertea | (reply to Enheduanna) posted 25-Aug-2002 11:45pm Ani rocks? Have you ever seen her in concert? |
| teatree | posted 25-Aug-2002 11:54pm As I said in qualification I CAN'T listen to music while I'm online. I access the internet at the library and we aren't allowed to download music or listen to music while using the computers as it disturbs the other library patrons. This should have have an Other option as we requested! |
| Amanda | posted 26-Aug-2002 2:31am I'm not listening to anything right now. The last song I heard was a few hours ago. I layed in bed with my son while he was going to sleep. We were listening to a cd called Sleep Sound In Jesus. It's a Christian cd of songs for babies and young children that a cousin of mine gave me not long after my son was born. |
| Iseult | posted 26-Aug-2002 7:57am Yes, I am listening to Jethro Tull. |
| confetti | posted 26-Aug-2002 7:58am Tell meeee-eeee why you have to go and make things so com-pli-cated... |
| Enheduanna | (reply to spidertea) posted 26-Aug-2002 8:03am Not in quite a while. I'm not as fond of her current stuff--Dilate was the last album of hers that I really liked. I saw her a bunch of times in 96-97, though. |
| grmbrand | posted 26-Aug-2002 10:13am Not right now, but I often do at work. |
| BrightBlue | posted 26-Aug-2002 12:43pm I'm always listening to music. I love techno! |
| moonstone | posted 26-Aug-2002 12:51pm Yes, right now the song 'One Eyed Fish' by Dave Matthews Band is playing. |
| moonstone | (reply to Enheduanna) posted 26-Aug-2002 12:57pm 96-97 was when I was listing, and going to see, Ani...a lot! I think she is all my friend and I listened to back then!! I saw her twice live. *Goes to dig up old Ani C.D.'s* |
| Biggles | posted 26-Aug-2002 2:03pm I rarely, if ever, listen to music. |
| spidertea | (reply to Enheduanna) posted 26-Aug-2002 4:29pm Dilate is my favorite album. |
| Enheduanna | (reply to moonstone) posted 26-Aug-2002 4:56pm I saw her in LA, Boston, Worcester MA, and Providence. I listened to her pretty incessantly then, too! |
| Enheduanna | (reply to spidertea) posted 26-Aug-2002 4:57pm It's the edgiest, which I find very appealing; I also like her older stuff when it's just her and her guitar. |
| spidertea | (reply to Enheduanna) posted 26-Aug-2002 5:16pm I agree. |
| moonstone | (reply to Enheduanna) posted 26-Aug-2002 6:46pm I only saw her here in Milwaukee... |

| Dino | posted 27-Aug-2002 5:35am I'm in work right now. Often, at home, I sit in silence and log on. I like silence sometimes. I find it very re-charging. The last time I listened to music whilst logged on I was listening to my new Kylie Album - Fever. |
| Jemmy | posted 27-Aug-2002 8:30am Yes. "Twist & Shout". |

| msgman | posted 29-Aug-2002 10:45am I've got the radio on, as it happens. But that's because I'm currently working for a radio station, and it's always playing in the offices. |
| anonymous | posted 30-Aug-2002 12:48am Yeah, the Eminem song, "I'm sorry Mama" is on, but it's kind of psychotic. I think he needs to figure out his issues...plus his mom sounds like a real dog, so I feel pretty sorry for the entire family... |
| mandy | (reply to anonymous) posted 30-Aug-2002 1:46pm #1 By writing songs without holding back his real true psychotic feelings, I believe he is working out his issues. He is brave and crazy and human and honest...and has more gutz than most people who just internalize all that bad crap that happened to them and then go on a killing rampage in their middle school. My goal in life is to be more like Marshall Mathers. I bought my 12 year old all three of his CD's. We listen to them together and it is such an impetus for great conversation and inspires us to talk about issues that might be too ugly to bring up without the music to bridge the gap between us. Plus, I like his voice. |
| herbalkate | posted 31-Aug-2002 6:30am Harry Chapin's box set Story of a Life. The song The Rock is on now. It's a good song, but the album has some that are better. |

| misDKfits | posted 21-Sep-2002 12:07am Bob by Rancid. It's a cover of NOFX on the split series cd. |
| joachim | posted 3-Oct-2002 8:18pm I am listening to a remix of the Cocteau Twins' "Pitch the Baby", which I've had running through my head for about an hour, ever since somebody mentioned their other song "For Phoebe Still a Baby" in another survey. When I came to this survey I decided to listen to it. I don't care what you say, I still like the Cocteau Twins. |
| joachim | (reply to Zang) posted 3-Oct-2002 8:20pm A friend of mine turned me on to Tortoise only recently. I like them but I find their TNT a bit too cerebral. I wonder if it's representative of their sound? |
| Zang | (reply to joachim) posted 6-Oct-2002 1:57am I think so. Each album is somewhat eclectic unto itself. They meld a number of divers styles and move fluidly throughout. I feel great affinity for their work. But, saying that, I don't think that I've ever encountered music that I found TOO cerebral! |
