I'm not aware of overusing any words, but there is a phrase that annoys me..."you know". I get really annoyed when someone is talking and every other word is "you know"! Arrrrrrrrgh...it drives me nucking futs you know!!! *winking raspberry*

I don't conjecture that there is one. Someone else might conjecture otherwise. I conjecture that it is too subjective for me to be that self-critical. The way I conjecture it, I would really have to see an example of it...starring me right in the face. You conjecture? The repeated use of some stupid word used ad infinitum to the point where no one could possibly not conjecture that it was being used to excess!

I just don't conjecture that happening...

Tuesday. For some reason, whenever I think what day of the week it is, I immediately think Tuesday before coming up with the right day.

I've noticed that I use the word "really" a lot. I also say "like" a lot. So, like, I guess I'd really want to get rid of one of those. *wink*
I've also noticed that I use the phrase "you know" a lot, and I don't like that much either.

It is not an English word, but whatever. It is 'znaci', and I never use it in English, but if it is an English word, than those are: 'heresy', 'therefore', and 'ominous'.

50,000. I say "I've told you 50,000 times", "I have 50,000 things to do" or whatever the case is. Anytime I feel overwhelmed or some such, I use the number 50,000. Now my 7 yr old does it.

The words "moot" and "moot point." I somehow latched on to this word/phrase and find myself mumbling it far too often! But then I don't say it half as often as I hear some people at work say in practically every sentence such things as "See what I'm sayin?" People do not realize the things they say over and over that other people find quite repulsively repetitive.

I never get tired of that phrase, nucking futs. Maybe I should make that the title of my next screenplay! And I'd lay ten-to-one odds those MPAA fudges wouldn't know what it meant. *smile*

Whatever is wrong with our society, I called it 'the heresy'. Eg, teenagers disrespecting their parents - that's heresy to me. And whatever is scary, or whatever, I describe it as ominous.

Don't know in English...maybe "actually" but I'm not sure.
In Italian is surely "hai presente?" and "Praticamente"...and starting sentences with the word "no".
"Praticamente" is really like "actually" and "hai presente" is similar to "you know" or "do you understand"I guess.

Ciao dora, sei italiana? Non sapevo! (Sarebbe possibile cancellare "va bene" oppure "managgia" ???)

When I'm Queen, a hefty fine will be given to anyone caught using "real" as an adverb.
(i.e. real fast)

And same goes for the use of "literally" to stress a figurative statement.

Repeat offenders will have to take English classes- really boring ones too (same concept of court judges who require drunk drivers to attend AA meetings).

Did I mention a hefty fine?

While I am quite tolerant of "real", I agree with you about "literally". I've had people say things like "I was so mad, my head literally blew apart" and I've thought "if only".
