| LindaH | posted 28-Jul-2002 12:58pm A few weeks ago, I was in a nice store with lots of breakable stuff. I squatted down to look at a display, and both my knees popped. The guy behind the counter got this worried look on his face, his eyes real big. He said "What was that?" "What was what?" "That popping noise" "That was me" I said, grinning. Then I left the store and laughed so-ooo-ooo hard. tee hee |
| Zang | posted 28-Jul-2002 3:44pm I used to crack my knuckles when I was a kid. Now that I'm an old geezer, my knees often pop when I stand up after sitting for a while. I've never attempted cracking or popping other parts of my body. |

| NthenSome | posted 30-Jul-2002 9:20pm There was no option for ears, gullet or assbone. So I had to abstain. Really: neck (ouch, only when I get this terrible headache that just won't leave me), ankles, back (again, only when it hurts), and knuckles. I used to crack my knuckles all the time, but now it's mostly my thumbs for some reason. |

| Cleo | (reply to NthenSome) posted 1-Aug-2002 10:23pm You know what??? I crack my neck too when I'm experiencing a really bad headache. It would go away after I crack my neck. Is that weird or what??? I thought that only happened to me. & I also thought that it was my imagination when the headache went away after doing that. What is that anyway????? How weird! I used to try & explain it to my friends & family but they never believed me.They thought that I was just weird like that.Probably cause none of them every cracked their necks, back & arm(elbows) |
| NthenSome | (reply to Cleo) posted 1-Aug-2002 10:48pm I actually have been to the doctor for it. It was really bad (the headaches) for a while, so I had no choice - my usual call to the doctor, when I 'have no choice'. He said it's from the cervical spine straightening, which happens to everyone but at a different age for each individual (usually starts around my age, 37). When the spine begins to straighten like that, the head becomes more weight for the neck than it's used to. The remedy for me was a little bit of acupuncture (because it starts with pressure on a nerve at the right-side base of the neck). Also, what really helped initially was what the doctor told me to do - and it's soooooo comfortable. I take my pillow (preferrably feather, so you can do this), fold it in half, and put it under my neck so that it's putting pressure upward on my head at nights. It relieves the spine some, and it's soooooo comfortable. (Didn't I say that already? But it is. Sooooo comfortable.) |

| Cleo | (reply to NthenSome) posted 4-Aug-2002 4:11pm Not under the head but the curve of the neck?? I do that sometimes & it does relieve the preasssure of the head. Kinda like that commercial that sells that pillow, specially made to support of the head & neck. It looks funny(the pillow) but, now that I think about it, it might actually work......for me. Do you still crack your neck? I do. But not as often as I used to. I've missed talking to you lately.(((((hugs)))) Totally of the subject but......is'nt Dino coming home tomorrow? |
| mandy | (reply to Kristal_Rose) posted 4-Aug-2002 4:54pm I've no time to plead and pine, I've no time to wheedle, Kiss me quick and then I'm gone Pop! Goes the weasel. |

Once you know you can never look back" I can carry on conversations entirely by quoting whatever I hear at the instant. That's part of seeing it all connected, one source, being able to take such shortcuts through time and matter. Otter pops have struck my curiosity lately. I don't need drugs. | Kristal_Rose | (reply to starrpickle) posted 8-Nov-2002 6:11pm Few give it much thought really. When they watch a James Bond flick they aren't gleaning some personal or global connection with what's actually happening this moment, but at most, comparing it to their thoughts on politics or the way they drive. For the most part, it's just entirely something external and finite. Same with work, same thing with everything else. Questions of cosmology are reserved for times when things are spectacularly good or bad, and in the meantime, life goes on. Broody people think. It's better than not thinking at all (unless you're happy anyhow, I suppose). |
| TatieHotchick | posted 21-Feb-2007 12:16am I can crack my neck, shoulders, back, ribs, hips, elbows. wrists, knuckles, knees, ankles, feet, toes, but theres one thing that wasn't included here. I always envied people who can crack their knuckles.
