rainbow tye dye spiral, of course...and very faintly you can read it to say, "live in love and light"...the lettering will be the same color as the shirt so you "can't" see it, but will see it if it catches your eye |

My T-shirt is varying shades of blue and turquoise. It looks like the tide rolling in, and has hidden images of tropical fish on it. No slogan or lettering. |

Black T-Shirt Small white gothic style lettering ~gutta cavat lapidem, non vi, sed saepe cadendo~ The T-shirt's sleeves have been delicately removed and the reattached all the way around with tiny silver safety pins on the back in small white gothic lettering the word ~Submit~ |

But I hate T-shirts. They're long and boxy and don't flatter anyone. As for letting me design my own nice little white poly/cotton blend 3/4 sleeve blouse, such as I am currently doing, it has a heart on the front made out of tiny sparkling pink and blue Ps. Not half as obnoxious as it sounds. I also vehemently attacked a pair of ultra-baggy when-I-was-fat staple Levi 501's with scissors until they were pleasantly slutty cut-off level (I'm wearing them only for the beach, in case you were wondering) and covered them randomly with rhinestones. As well as a pair of backless white tennis shoes, which now have glittering butterflies on the toes. It sounds moronic but girls here have been copying me already. |

I would like a shirt about running. Something such as "run longer, faster, more often".
It would have these names and their pictures on it: Peter Snell, Roger Bannister, Steve Prefontaine, Carl Lewis, Yiannis Kurrous, Don Richtie. Maybe some others.
On the back would be a long road as far as the eye could see, with the simple word under it, "Opportunity".
All this might motivate me to run more. |

I did this in Graphics class when I was in high school. I took an image of Don Quixote by Salvador Dali in india ink and silk-screened it onto a white t-shirt. |
| Jemmy | | posted 20-Jul-2002 9:16pm |
Okay, it is a bright red sleeveless T-shirt with a not-too-low not-too-high V neck. It perfectly conforms to my body and is a made of 95% cotton and 5% lycra. On it is a nice bright rainbow, with the words "sweet love" written above it in nice blue bubble letters outlined by white. There is a simple, not itchy tag on the bak neckline with a JEM inscribed in black print. The tag is narrow and longer and sewn on every side. |

A very plain charcoal grey t-shirt would suit me fine. I don't wear any shirt with a logo unless I'm wearing one of my company shirts and that's only because I'm required to. They are a light gray with a patch on the left breast with the company's name on them and they have a fold down collar. I find them to be a bit warm on a hot day. We wear beige or black dress slacks with them. |

Over the years I've imagined various "message" T-shirts because it's a great way to advertise a place, a type of music, an artist, etc., and I am one who likes such things, but rarely find any commercial shirts that I really like. Mainstream T-shirt makers appear not to have much imagination. Since I like World music, I've sometimes imagined T-shirts that proclaim something like, "I like Samba" or another of my favorite musical styles, or a good pic (and captioned name) of a favorite musician or other artist or sports figure. Or, take my city, San Francisco -- I see all these "general" tourist T-shirts but not very many individual places. (Except Alcatraz, and that's really common and old.) So I would have T-shirts for different city attractions, like my favorite area "Twin Peaks." I would NOT have the background white -- nearly ALL T-shirts have white backgrounds. How about various brightly colored backgrounds with contrasting lettering and great grafix. White shows dirt and stains too easily. Also have really GOOD quality T-shirts that do not shrink/stretch out, but are top quality knit and so will continue to hold their shapes and colors thruout many washings. Message T-shirts are a fun way to get your point across; attract people with similar interests; show off your hobbies or favorite things, music, etc. |

I don't wear t-shirts that often, but if I did, it would be plain green with no logos of any kind and about a size too big as I like a roomy shirt. |

The smallest size we have is small. The way we have things arranged right now is such that even the band members have to pay for the shirts, and at the moment, despite the fact that I've wanted a shirt for quite some time, I still haven't had the 'opportunity' to get one myself, which speaks of many things on it's own. I'll be sending you a shirt and CD soon, as promised, m'dear. I just need a little time. I can't wait. You'll love it! |

Okay, so its a dull grey colour and the lettering is black and it bears my other (more common) internet username. 'Miserable Spice'

she just turned 6 in april, and will be in the 1st grade...i made EXCELLENT progress in the room yesterday, just about "done"...i know that she'll dig it...there are a couple of objects in there that are really little girls, but mostly everything else can stay up for a while, stuff that doesn't have an "age" to it, which is cool, for i don't want to redecorate next summer already! am going to wal mart today to look for a few more things...i still want to get her a kitty poster for when i asked her what her fav animal is, she instantly said "kitty", i asked her what her second fav animal is, she said "kitty".. ...gotta love that! also want to pick up another can of spray glitter, i had picked up one can of a color called opal, i used the whole can on her 2 curtains...needless to say that you can barely see it, so i'm thinking that i'll get a can of silver so that one can SEE it..also looking for some contact paper to caver the top of her HUGE dresser i picked up at a rummage for 5 bucks, this thing really is HUGE, the guy i bought it from had it in his mud room and stored his snomobile equimpent in it and helmets and such, so you know that the drawers are quite deep...it was a way cool find.... i put up ribbons from her overhead light, turned out well...have a bunch of stuff on the ceiling, those little glow in the stars and such, and have a lot of little things hanging as well; little fairies windchimes crystals....it really came along in a day...will be glad when i AM done though, so i get get going on my normal stuff for i have been putting that stuff on the back burner in order to get the room done...btw...thanks for letting me ramble on about it! |

I'm doing my boy's room in 2 different themes. woodsy/rustic, and pooh. there's a 100 acre wood rug in there, a pooh bean bag chair, stuffed pooh characters and pooh bed covers. when those covers get dirty, i change to the animal sheets and brown blanket, and put the woodsy stuffed animals out. it still matches the rug. I'm thinking of painting the wall to look like log cabin logs. |

| justjulie | | (reply to juliw) posted 1-Aug-2002 8:19am |
thank you again...it will be nice to have a big sis for noah...it will be good for her too because she's always been the little sister and is heavily influenced by her big sis, who is 8...am excited for she'll be able to grow and develop into her own little person w/o her sister telling her that she should and shouldn't like some things...i'm giving her a minor responsibility as well. i decided to give the "job" of feeding and watering the kitties, for i KNOW that she'll be thrilled w/ such a thing...i really do think that everything will work out...am a little nervous about school for her though, heyzeus talked to the principal the other day to let him and her teacher know that she isn't born and raised in this town and that there is a small possibility that she'll poop her pants,(major stress related i think), anyhow, his main concern was if she was going to disturb the class and/or cause problems. in fact, he was pushing that we stick her in a remedial class right off the bat, w/o even meeting her or seeing her abilities. he also said, that wisconsin has the highest school standards in the country, so if a child comes from another state they are already at a disadvantage and behind, or so that's what he claims...so i'm hoping that cheyenne will be like a big "f-you" to the guy, and she'll be "advanced"....maade me a little angry he did. i hear that the girls love school a lot, and in fact they cry when there is a vacation day, funny that is, for i know that looked forward to vacation days and counted down the days until there would be another one, played sick a lot too although i will not tell chey such things for i don't want to give her any ideas about that sort of thing...yeah...i'm sure school will be fine, but i'm afraid that she'll be watched extra closely and that if she "slips" just once that they'll demand a remeadial class...sigh...i can't believe that i only have a one year old and am, already doing the school thing!!! |

Well, it sounds like both you and heyzeus are very caring parents, so things will work out great! Kids adapt better than adults, I think. That is good that she is "in charge" of the kitties. It will give her a feeling of importance. Good luck to all of you! BTW, I never heard of a kid who cried when they got days off school. I played sick a lot, too. My mom and dad both worked full time days, so I went to school from my grandma's house. I had young aunts and uncles not much older than me. I would tell grandma almost once a week I was sick, and she would let me stay home, and call my mom at work later and tell her. My mom sometimes pretended she minded and would tell me not to lie to grandma, but my grades were good in grade school, so she did not really care. |
