If you have a favorite mug: What's pictured on it?

If you cannot instantly pick a mug* that you consider your favorite, then think about days when all of your dishes are clean and you open your cabinets to get a mug. Is there one that you would choose before the others? If so, use that mug to pick your answer(s).

*Feel free to substitute a tea cup, travel mug, or anything else that you often use to drink hot beverages.

If you would like, please describe your favorite mug in more details in the comment section.

The one I use most often and that I might consider a favorite is three "faces" of the sun in orange and yellow with pink, green & blue circles behind the sun's smiling face. Next favorite are a couple pix of parrots with a tropical green background. Third, a Brazilian flag on white background. Fourth, black & white small checks with red band around lower half of mug. I have a couple others besides these that I want to keep also. One is a very old mug that is black lettering on white and says "DISCO." The other was a gift, is royal blue and red checkered.

A funny and/or cute saying or joke.

It was my favorite cup at work, it said;

"I am surrounded by idiots"

Some of you will remember, a couple of surveys ago, about parking spaces?? That's when I started using that cup...

I gotta find another one like that.... I sense that I need it again!

I have four favorite mugs right now. (I have a lot of mugs and they're all different.) Two are hand-made ones with pretty glazes. One has three cats hand-drawn on it and says "Some kitty rules: the kitty should NEVER be chased off of the table...the kitty should ALWAYS have first choice or we get cross and refuse to purr." (Those three are all from my mother.) And one is an Apocamon mug that romkey got me.

My new favourite mug, which I've been using for about a year and a half, is a humongous Starbuck's mug. It has the logo on it. My sister-in-law's sister gave it to me for Christmas, packed full of homemade candy. I couldn't help myself, it is just so big it made my previous favourite big mug look positively dainty!

My previous favourite, I had been using for about 20 years. My aunt gave it to me for Christmas. I haven't seen her or spoken to her for years. She divorced my uncle, remarried, and moved far away. We always got on really well. She's a musician. I would think of her every time I pulled that mug out of the cupboard. It has a picture of a Jaguar (car) and my name on it. It is kind of ironic, when my brother and I were kids, she had the reputation for giving the worst gifts...so bad they are funny.

It a picture of a teddy bear wearing leather fetish gear.

Its a white cup because I always prefer to drink tea from a white cup. I like my tea weak, two sugars and no milk. So the tea has to look red/orange and be see-through. Hence the necessity for a white cup. Please make notes in a book somewhere in case I should ever pop round for a visit.

I have one I use most often because its big and I like to be able to have a lot of coffee, tea or hot chocolate in it. Its red and white with X O X O X O X O's all over it, with bunnies on it and says "Hunny Bunny" Theres another big one with a porcupine stretching its arms out for a hug that says hugs and kisses. My favorite ones because of design would have to be my 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire' question mugs with Regis on them.

I bought 2 mugs that were going cheap (about £1 each) in the January sales. They're hidden away in the cupboard somewhere. They're nothing really special to look at but they're special to me because they're the first things that I bought for when I leave home for university. The Bayeux Tapestry mug reprresents my past - I got it in a stocking when I was a little girl, thoses two mugs represent my hopes and dreams for the future.

I have a mug that says "Apollo" on it repeatedly... Apollo is the name of a computer company that sort of died (ultimately merged with Hewlett Packard), but they innovated some of the first workstation computers with an operating system that had a WYSIWYG graphical desktop and seamless networking. I did a co-op (college work program) there just after HP acquired them, so I got a little taste of what they had before they got fully absorbed.

You should try putting a hook somewhere near the first place you go when you walk in the house... I think every house has a catch all.. I always walk straight toward a catch-all when I enter the house... the dining room table (to set my purse on it).

I did, I bought a "gate keeper" key hanger. It looks like a picket fence and for some reason I just walk right past it. I have oonly had it for about a month though- so maybe I need some time to get used to it! There is a built in desk right at the front of my kitchen that I ussually set down my bag and stuff on- and that is where the kkeys end up. But then my 2 year old gts a hold on them and then it is anybody's guess where they end up! * smile *
