Mmm, I'm getting hungry thinking about this. I would bring two kinds of multi-layer Mexican dip for tortillas and tortilla chips. One for the vegetarians, and one for the meat eaters. It is so good. It's the first thing to get eaten at every family gathering. I hope someone brings green bean casserole...I feel gross about this, but it has got to be one of my favorite foods. Is there anyone out there who is also ashamed of some foods they really like? It's not a serious issue or anything...but there are some things I'm quite fond of that I don't like to admit to. Peanut butter and jelly in one jar, anyone? :)

a little different, though similar in nature (I'd say). I suspect it was out of a "Good Housekeeping" from the 70's. Anyway, the recipe is something like this: Brown hamburger with chopped onions, drain, add BBQ sauce, put aside. Open a can of Pilsbury pop-n-fresh rolls, spread them out a little to fill muffin tins, then fill with BBQ beef and top with cheese, bake at 375 for 45 minutes. something like that. ...when I've done it, I made my own bread dough, but in the end they taste about the same... pretty yummy (I'm biased as I was raised on them).

I do recall she had some Bisquick recipes as well... though, my impression is that they were not very good. My mom made pancakes with Bisquick, so whenever she used it for something else, I thought it tasted like pancakes.

Cook the pasta and put it to one side. Make the cheese sauce (heat milk, grated cheese and a little cornflour together - I think you call it something different in the US though?). Add the cheese sauce to the cooked pasta and stir over a low heat until its all hot. Eat * smile *

You can add vegetables - whatever you want. Cooking's not a precise art - you don't have to do a Delia! * smile * (and "Delia is in the dictionary - at least it is over here!)
