Do you carry keys around, which you have no use for?

No. I have a couple of house keys (to other people's houses) that I rarely use, but I know what all the keys are for and theoretically can use them all.

I have a couple other key chains that I leave at home unless I need them with keys to things like my boss' other store (in case of emergency), our safe deposit box, an extra house key, and a few others. Some of those I have forgotten what they go to, but at least I don't carry them around with me all the time!

I have 3 keys to return to my Mom and her husband, from feeding their cats while they were away on their cruise last week, one to return to the master at work for an office I don't need anymore, and one mystery car key. I think that one is from my twenties, when I got so drunk with my brother-in-law in Vegas that we couldn't find the car the next morning.
(Actually, we did find it late that evening, so this unidentified key is finally going to go away, I think. Since you brought it up.)

Until about a year ago I did, but got tired of carrying about keys for the laundry room (even after the Fire Marshall told the owner he had to remove the locks from the laundry room) and I've since moved away from there, keys to a previous house, to my son's bike lock (a spare) from a bike he had when he was 10 years old (he's 21), a key to a neighbor's apartment (she was elderly and in poor health and wanted me to check on her from time to time) that not only haven't I lived next to for 7 years, but has passed away to boot. It must be the packrat in me, but recently I said NO MORE and now only have 2 keys on my keyring, the housekey for the deadbolt lock and one for the padlock on the storage unit I rent.

I used to have random keys on my keychain to make my keys heavier and they would always be on the bottom of my purse and easier to find. I had a key to the shed behind our house (I hadn't been in there in 8 years), the key to the deadbolt on our front door (we never lock that unless we go on vacation), and some other keys (???).

Yes, I think I have a key for my friends old house that they no longer live in anymore. And, a key to a masterlock, but I don't know where or what I have locked up...

I checked it when there were fewer than 10 responses, and there was only one "yes", it was from a woman. Later, I checked when more had responded and male "yes" responses were ahead. Now, as you pointed out, the female "yes" responses are ahead again (36%/28%). The sample size is just way too small to take seriously (43).

I'm into minimal keys... car, PO box, house (maybe I could skip this one as we never lock the house anymore)... and a Mobil speed-pass.

What do you mean... we can't take survey results seriously here? Geez... I've already formed all of my opinions based on the survey results i've seen here!

Yeah, it is pretty close, but the women are still slightly ahead.

Of course you can take it seriously...if there's an overwhelming result, or if hundreds of people respond...or if you just lack any other ammunition to back up your position in an argument...

I don't usually carry around my keys unless I am going somewhere and they are usually in my purse anyway.

Yes- I have a key for my totaled car- too lazy and/or forgetful to take it off.
