Which post-WW2 government would you prefer to live under?

The year is 1950, shortly after WW2. The difference is is that the Soviet Union did not side with the Allied Powers and the non-aggression pact between Nazi Germany and Communist Russia was not broken. The Allied Powers lost the war, and the Allied countries invaded and occupied. Eventually, the Nazis broke their alliance with Italy and now controls it as well and continues to expand southward and westward, spreading their influence through Africa and the Americas. Meanwhile, the Soviet Union sides with China shortly after the People's Republic is formed and drives back Imperialist Japan and now Communism occupies all of Asia and other parts of the world. The Spanish Fascist government also exists, it's control centered in Spain. The Nazis raised no threats and left Spain to be a neutral fascist government, under Franco. Democracy no longer exists as Nazism,Communism and Fascism are now the primary governments existing. If one had to choose, which government would you prefer to live under?

Fascism. Fascism is actually a lot like capitalism except the government controls who manufactures what and in what numbers. The central government controls most things but there is still rewards for hard work in that the state does not limit accumulation of wealth. I see fascism as a better option than communism which rewards laziness and does not encourage people to put in any effort above the lowest common denominator. Although communist regimes have been responsible for the deaths of more people than Nazism, I cannot tolerate any ideology which victimizes individual races or sexes, which is probably why I abhor affirmative action. Nazism would definitely be my last choice. Communism isn't much better.

I'd go for the fascists. Despite not having a democratic government, I'd have a reasonable amount of personal freedom, which is probably the most important thing. The Nazis would be the next best choice, although I'd be concerned about the tendency of "outsider" groups, like the Jews, to disappear, and it would probably be too militaristic for my tastes. Soviet-style, Stalinist communism would be the worst possible scenario - poverty, repression and the ever-present chance of being executed just for daring to think that the government might be wrong.

Well I saw a documentary on the undercurrent homoerotica of the Nazi party last week. Considering they're all against queers then you may as well go with one which has undercurrents. A very difficult question though and one which raised lots of thoughts. Well done survey creator.

I guess communism. My Cuban friend Adrián has all these shocking stories about life there and seems profoundly shook by it; for one thing, he feels like his family had no life before they came to Costa Rica. He has one picture of himself as a child. One. Cameras not available for anyone but tourists, the only chance they had to take one was to hire a photographer. Which cost them too much to ever take one again.

But hell, it's a beautiful picture * smile * It shows how dark his eyes are, and he looks less haunted now.

Fascism.Let's see. Before allying to Hitler Italians fascists were pretty mild.Repression, beatings, political murders but no racial laws and no holocaust.
So I want Fascism! I won't be a fascist though.Hey,I come from the place where they first started to oppose Fascism!! So I'll guess in 2 or 3 years I will be dead or in prison. * smile *

Given my radical Marxist political stance, what do you think I would choose? Fascism? I don't think so! * grin *

Communism, I think. I don't know enough about fascism. Come to think of it, I don't know a thing about national socialism either. There's a difference between theoretical political ideologies and how they were manifested. Socialism and gassing jews are way different things.
