Are you happy with your height?

interesting, i voted and my vote didn't show up!!! and it seems that 3 people have voted and only one vote shows. interesting!!!

I'm only about 5'4" but I like it more than I would if I were 6 feet. Most people want to be taller but I rather like being short. Of course, this means I can't see diddley when there's a parade going on and I have to travel to some place where there's an opening in the crowd. Being short kinda fits my personality. I feel like a little kid, and all my life I have wanted to be younger than I was (!), so being shorter than average sorta goes along with it. One other problem is that some clothes, like shirt -sleeve lengths, are a bit too long, and sometimes it's hard to find pants that are length 30.

I'm 5'4", which is average, but I think of myself as shorter than I am. I was always one of the shortest kids growing up and I hated that. But every now and then I will meet someone much shorter than me who makes me feel like an ungainly giraffe...

I'm medium (5'10") and I really couldn't give a rat's ass. I suppose it is nice not to be banging my head on things all the time, and I guess I wouldn't like to have everyone else towering over me, but you might say that I've become someone who takes such things for granted. Perhaps I should be more thankful...

I'm 5 ft 10 1/2 inches with weight in proportion. I like my height.

I had to pick I'm short and I love it since I like being petite,I grow accustomed to and now I like it.Petite rules.
But I had to pick I'm short and I wish I was taller too because,while aesthetically pleasant to me (I look so cute )being 4 feet 11 inches and a bit is hard.
first: those books are always too high for you to reach them.
second: at the bar they give you a weird look like "are you underage or what?" or they simply ignore you.
third: lots of macho men that just want to "protect you" gathering around you.

Tall and happy with it. I think I'm just the right height for a man.

I'm just barely not tall. I'm 5'11" and 3/4". I never made it to six feet, which was a little disappointing considering my dad is 6'4". Thing is, I'm still taller than most folks, and generally, I don't think about it much.

I forgot that the UK version of tall is different than the US version

Apparantly the German version of tall is even more different. I saw a programme where guys in this country were really tall - like 6'5" and over and had difficulty buying trousers so the presenter took them over to Germany and they bought clothes in the ordinary department stores.

I am 5'6", wich I think is medium- but I want to be a little taller. maybe like 5'8".

I'm pretty much medium, and I don't like it. I'd like to be either short, or tall. I'm almost 5'5" right now, and I'd like to be either between 5'0" and 5'4", or 5'8" and 5'11".

The boys at school were laughing at me for having small hands yesterday. They were drawing pictures of my "miniscule" hands (magnified 100x - ha-ha, aren't they witty......). Just because they all had big hands.....I actually have larger hands than most girls I know, but they did look rather tiny next to all the lads'..........

I suffered a great humiliation. Seems my mother isn't too handy with a
tape measurer. When I went for my check-up at the doctor's yesterday I learned that my official height, as of fifteen years old (well, in eight hours) is 5 ft. 2, not 5 ft. 4. How shameful was I ! And that's short. Very short ! And I don't like it at all ! >

I'm simply average height, 5'7, aged 18. I have heard from doctors and have been told before that I am short for my age. I was told that my height SHOULD be right around 5'11-6 ft. I have to consider that drinking coffee and smoking hasn't helped that. If I discontinue these habits it should improve I'm hoping. Yes, let's hope so.

I'm about 5'6" tall and I'm fine with my height. I used to be 5'7", but I'm not anymore. I always thought you didn't shrink until you started getting old. I'm only 20 years old. WAY to young to start shrinking.

I always complain that I'm too short. I'm 5'5 1/2", which isn't really short. I know I could be worse, but I'm friends with a lot of tall people. The worst thing I've ever been called is average. BLAW! I wish I was at least a little taller!

Society attaches a lot to a man's height (Did you ever see that John Stossel report?) I think it's similar to how society views breast size for a women. But there's no operation available to change your height

There has been some research which has shown pretty conclusively that height discrimination is incredibly pervasive in all facets of life, but particularly when deciding whom we find physically attractive. "The Economist" had an article on this several years ago. Personals ads are pretty good indication: If height is specified, see how many are looking for a short man. Unfortunately, this also seems to be incredibly deeply wired into us. About the only good thing I've found about being short is that I have a pretty good strength-to-weight ratio by default.

There is an operation to increase your height actually. In fact there are a variety. A lad that I went to school with had it done when he was 7.

I am 5'8 3/4" and I think it's the perfect height! Tall, but not too tall and I can still wear heels. I won't date anyone my height or shorter. The perfect height for a guy is 6'2 - 6'4"

I have long fingers too, so don't feel bad about the boys. But they don't tease me about mine. Also, I'm not tall, I am only 5'2. But then again, my mother is 5'4 and my father is 5'11, which is average for a man but for a woman, the height is 5'6. I think. But like I said before, don't feel bad about the boys.
