I have a live diary on another website where I'm like the "Survivor" of the whole thing. My last entry was viewed by 226 people..wait, 231. I happen to disclose certain things about certain crushes and I'd rather keep myself very anonymous so I'd die before I mentioned my username or even the webpage. |

This is my live journal of hell and doom. |
| Biggles | | posted 19-May-2002 1:49pm |
No, I'd never heard of that site. But keeping an online journal is something that I've thought about. Not so much as self-promotion (that would be scary) but as a way to publish my poetry in context. I don't think I actually *want* to publish my poetry though! And as far as something containing snapshots of my life, SC does that. There are snapshots of so many lives here - that's why it's so great |

It's never occurred to me to do this and I don't want my life quite that public. Survey Central is about as public as I want to go and even then there are limits as to what I'm willing to reveal. |

Just wait... soon you'll be revealing your deepest darkest secrets. It happens to us all. It cannot be stopped..... |

No. I don't see the point of publishing a journal on the web. |

We'll see. |

I have a notebook I write in sometimes. I use it for very personal thoughts about things that are bothering me. It is kind of therapeutic. Not the sort of thing I would share with the world... |

SC and rarely my website. |
| Dino | | posted 20-May-2002 7:42am |
No. I would have no time to keep it up. And my life is boring and dull. |

What colour underwear do you have on? |

Frankly, I'm amazed that people read my comments here; I can't imagine people bothering with the tedious minutia of my daily life... |
| justjulie | | posted 20-May-2002 8:41am |

| justjulie | | (reply to grmbrand) posted 20-May-2002 8:44am |

| NthenSome | | posted 23-May-2002 3:42am |
Yes I do, but only since you created this survey and got me curious. It looks like a decent place, but the navigation is very...frenzied. And you need to know my username because...? Ok, it's "Dubbl". No, Mandy, not really... |
| mandy | | (reply to NthenSome) posted 23-May-2002 8:49pm |
That's so funny, Todd...I forgot to laugh...... |
| NthenSome | | (reply to mandy) posted 23-May-2002 10:10pm |
Stop calling me "Todd", Alexis! |
Kristal_Rose | | (reply to grmbrand) posted 24-May-2002 8:41am |
It's a way of saying hello. |
| grmbrand |
True, but...if I'm going to engage someone in coversation, I'd prefer it to be more meaningful and direct... |
Kristal_Rose | | (reply to grmbrand) posted 24-May-2002 10:03am |
good for you. i just emailed bush to love everyone and see it work. perhaps i should have called. |
| grmbrand |
I'd say either method you've mentioned is more effective than putting the idea on an online journal and hoping he reads it... |
Kristal_Rose | | (reply to grmbrand) posted 25-May-2002 3:26am |
I got the feeling yesterday that their is no difference between opening your door to your neighbor down the hall or in the next continent. You, me, bush, all people who need to share reality. |

I guess this is as close as it will get for me.I tried reading a couple but I couldn't relate. |

No, I am a member of diaryland instead. (I have a few virtally emtpy accounts)
But I don't have any real entries on them. NOt because I don't want people to read my private stuff, but because i dont think my life is interesting enough to be on there, and I am too lazy to do it and catch up what i have missed. |

Can someone give me an account code so that I can start one? Thanks! |
| dora | | (reply to wolfchik9) posted 22-Jul-2002 3:52am |
Go to www.livejournal.com
|
| wolfchik9 | | (reply to dora) posted 28-Jul-2002 12:56am |
A livejournal.com user can give an account code to someone instead on having to buy a new account. I think it's a "guest pass" to the site instead of paying to try it out. |
| NthenSome | | posted 28-Jul-2002 1:38am |
I remember I the last time this came through - in fact, it was this survey that had me look into it and get one (under my SOs name). I remember asking why I'd give you the journal name. Why would we? (As you can tell, I haven't visited it often. In fact...never.) |
| dora | | (reply to wolfchik9) posted 28-Jul-2002 9:45am |
paying?! I didn't pay.You don't have to pay. |
| wolfchik9 | | (reply to dora) posted 30-Jul-2002 7:55am |
Yeah, you do. It has links to pay thru PayPal or info to mail checks. |
| dora | | (reply to wolfchik9) posted 30-Jul-2002 8:20am |
No I don't. Nobody ever asked me to pay.
|
| dora | | (reply to wolfchik9) posted 30-Jul-2002 8:27am |
It changed. When I joined you didn't have to pay.I'm not sure of what I have to do.It gives me this code 5bv7paaaydcj I don't know if it will work. Really when I joined it was free. Well try with the code I gave you,if it doesn't work I don't know. |
| NthenSome | | (reply to wolfchik9) posted 30-Jul-2002 12:14pm |
It operates both ways. You can be registered, or you can be a paying. Unfortunately, I suckered. |
| wolfchik9 | | (reply to dora) posted 31-Jul-2002 5:58am |
Thanks, it worked. I now have my very own livejournal. I guess we'll see how well I keep it up. |

I have a livejournal, a blog on my own domain, old blogs at different sites that I've let go, and I'm thinking about signing up for xanga |
