  Do you have a livejournal?

The mention of a livejournal on another list I'm on caused a storm of off-topic posts with strong opinions. So it made me curious: Do you have a username at http://www.livejournal.com? Or do you make use of another way of publishing your own thoughts and adventures to the web, such as a weblog?

VotesAnswer
1Yes, I have a livejournal under the username ...
2Yes, I have a livejournal but I'm not telling you my user name.
2I have a different way of publishing my daily thoughts to a web page.
18No, and I've never thought about it.
7No, but I think it would be a cool idea.
12No, why would I need a livejournal when I've got Survey Central?
6No, I think it's a waste of time. Those people should get a REAL life!
10No, I don't want my life to be that public.
4I have something else to say about publishing a journal on the web.

I have a live diary on another website where I'm like the "Survivor" of the whole thing. My last entry was viewed by 226 people..wait, 231. I happen to disclose certain things about certain crushes and I'd rather keep myself very anonymous so I'd die before I mentioned my username or even the webpage.

This is my live journal of hell and doom.

No, I'd never heard of that site. But keeping an online journal is something that I've thought about. Not so much as self-promotion (that would be scary) but as a way to publish my poetry in context. I don't think I actually *want* to publish my poetry though! And as far as something containing snapshots of my life, SC does that. There are snapshots of so many lives here - that's why it's so great *smile*

It's never occurred to me to do this and I don't want my life quite that public. Survey Central is about as public as I want to go and even then there are limits as to what I'm willing to reveal.

I have a notebook I write in sometimes. I use it for very personal thoughts about things that are bothering me. It is kind of therapeutic. Not the sort of thing I would share with the world...

Yes I do, but only since you created this survey and got me curious. It looks like a decent place, but the navigation is very...frenzied.
And you need to know my username because...?
Ok, it's "Dubbl".

No, I am a member of diaryland instead. (I have a few virtally emtpy accounts)

But I don't have any real entries on them. NOt because I don't want people to read my private stuff, but because i dont think my life is interesting enough to be on there, and I am too lazy to do it and catch up what i have missed.

Go to www.livejournal.com

A livejournal.com user can give an account code to someone instead on having to buy a new account. I think it's a "guest pass" to the site instead of paying to try it out.

I remember I the last time this came through - in fact, it was this survey that had me look into it and get one (under my SOs name). I remember asking why I'd give you the journal name.
Why would we?
(As you can tell, I haven't visited it often. In fact...never.)

Nobody ever asked me to pay.

It changed. When I joined you didn't have to pay.I'm not sure of what I have to do.It gives me this code 5bv7paaaydcj
I don't know if it will work.
Really when I joined it was free. *frown*
Well try with the code I gave you,if it doesn't work I don't know.
