Have you seen Star Wars Episode II Attack Of The Clones?!

Some people have gone really nuts over the movie. Such as camping out for several months * wry smile * .

No, not yet. I shall wait for the crowds to die down first and then go to a late showing when there are no kids in the audience and hopefully get a seat with no-one sitting in front or either side of me or behind me - maybe I should stop using deoderant!

I saw it yesterday, and got pretty much what I expected. I really enjoy the Star Wars universe, but Lucas' crappy writing and directing doesn't hold a candle to the places my imagination has taken his* ideas.

*Actually, the first Star Wars is oft considered to be Akira Kurosawa's idea, realized in his film, The Hidden Fortress.

No. My SO downloaded it and I saw about three minutes of it. He watched the whole thing.
Is it actually out now?

Not yet. I probably will, but I'm not exactly wetting myself with excitement in the meantime.

Not in a big hurry to see it, I'm sure it will come my way eventually.

I would never camp out. C'mon the show is going to be there for a while. What's the difference if I see it today or two weeks from now? I don't care to wait in lines, so I'll probably wait a little while. Those people that camp out, just do it for more attention. "I was the first one to see it!", or "I've seen it already. I can't believe you haven't seen it yet." I love Star Wars, and I'll get around to seeing it, but what benefit do I have to see it right now?

Not yet. I will, but a bunch of us went to LOTR (again) last night, instead, as a kind of vote to indicate with $$ that we appreciate Jackson's approach to story-telling.

no, not yet. Its not one of my priotires. If i get a chance and have time to go to the movies, i would go see spiderman way before any star wars movie. I have nothing against star wars, i just dont particulary care for it. I think i saw parts of various star wars movies at one point in time or another. Maybe 2 and a half hours worth total. I don't particularly care for them too much.

But even if was, i wouldn't camp out just to see it at midnight. I wouldn't want to wait the 6 hours in line to see it. I would much rather wait the 96 hours it would take for the lines to die down at my house doing more productive things like reading some book, reading a few articles from my ethics book that we havent gone over in class, listineing to my cds, listing to the radio, listihng to music on amazon.com, watching TV, answering my emails, answering surveys such as this, and sleeping.

Anyway, i heard it wasn't that good from the John Stewart show. Oh, did you know that employers reported a $319 million loss in productivity due to peoople calling it sick just so they can go see the Stars Wars movie. Source: the Rod Ryan morning radio show. And he got his sources i am sure.

I saw the first one back in '77. I wasn't that impressed. I never bothered to see any of the other ones.

I might go see it later when the lines go WAY down, with my neighbor, who has downloaded trailers. It looks pretty good. But no way would I stand in line or camp out for anything or anyone!

And I LOVED it! It was WAY better than Episode I. Yoda kicked some SERIOUS ass, the acting was a step-up, and even Jar Jar Binks was tolerable. And the music was great at foreshadowing what's going to happen (or trather DID happen) in the Original Trilogy.

Not yet. I might go see it after it's been in the theaters for awhile and after I talk to some of my friends and get their opinion.

I haven't seen it. I am not really into that type of film (sci-fi) but the effects and such look so good I may go see it. On the big screen even, to get the full effect.

Did Jar Jar Binks have a big part? I heard that it was just a cameo from one source but that he was a mojor character from another. He didn't half wind me up before!

Glad you enjoyed it, I'm really looking forward to going to see it, but that won't be until July * frown * (post-exams)

Jar Jar was in for a few minutes, and his voice was still childish, but he didn't trip over naything, knock anything over, or otherwise make a fool of himself. In fact, I felt so sorry for him becuase (future) Emperor Palpatine basically tricked Jar Jar into auhtorizing the Republic's Clone Army, which leads to the Clone Wars. Jar Jar handed power to the bad guy and didn't even know it, poor thing. * frown *
