| Zang | posted 19-Apr-2002 6:44pm No, I gave that up when I was about six. However, if the opportunity arises, and I'm given a chance to look up a woman's skirt, I might just! |

| mandy | (reply to spidertea) posted 21-Apr-2002 1:10am I am not a sex offender. I love women and if they wear really short skirts and the wind is blowing and someone snaps a photo...I'm going to look at it and drool! |

| mandy | (reply to Kristal_Rose) posted 21-Apr-2002 1:55pm Of course I do. If only I could retain the rest of the things you've shown me and really use them well. I get so caught up in the tangible. I'm pulling back the reins when I should just jump off the horse and fly. |
| spidertea | (reply to mandy) posted 21-Apr-2002 4:55pm That is quite different than crawling on your hands and knees and peeking at women's underwear. (Like some boys did in elementary school!) |
| mandy | (reply to spidertea) posted 21-Apr-2002 5:02pm So boys under the age of 12 looking up girls skirts to catch a glimpse of heaven are sex offenders? |
| spidertea | (reply to mandy) posted 21-Apr-2002 5:13pm I think they should be told that this behavior is not appropriate. The younger they learn that, the better. |
| mandy | (reply to spidertea) posted 21-Apr-2002 5:36pm You didn't answer my question. The original survey question was, Do you look up girls skirts? and you answered you are not a sex offender, suggesting that people who do this are. Then you commented that *my* skirt looking up behavior is different than elementary school boys who try to look up skirts, suggesting then that they are sex offenders. Then when I asked you about this you answered that it is actually *just* inappropriate behavior. Do you see how messed up that logic is. Lumping everyone into the category of sex offender if they enjoy or participate in even just the most innocent of naughty natural curious about the opposite sex behavior is dangerous and unfair. Not all 12 year old boys are potential sex offenders. Not all looking up skirts is a sex offense. |
| spidertea | (reply to mandy) posted 21-Apr-2002 7:23pm Okay, we seem to be having some miscommunications. I haven't had much sleep lately, but let me try to explain myself more clearly: First of all, I said I was not a sex offender, because, by legal definition, someone who goes around lifting up women's skirts is committing a sex crime. (Unwanted sexual contact.) This is of course if it is nonconsensual. By the way the question was phrased, I assumed it was. Perhaps that was an error of judgement on my part. Maybe the question meant, "Do you like it when a woman lets you look at her genitals?" I don't think that all curiosity is "innocent." As a young girl, I had boys chase me around the playground, pin me down, poke and grab me and lift up my skirt. They were curious about the opposite sex, be damned what I had to say about it- they were stronger, and there were more of them. I screamed for help, but the noon aides laughed and saw it as "normal curiosity" and said, "Oh, boys will be boys." I think that calling these behaviors "innocent" is more dangerous and unfair that "lumping everyone into a category." Of course, not all looking up skirts is a sex offense, which is why I said your behavior was different. You said you were looking at a picture. Looking at a picture is not a crime nor a sex offense(unless it's child porn.) I think it is important that people think about their actions, how it effects others, regardless if they get enjoyment from it. |
| Kristal_Rose | (reply to mandy) posted 21-Apr-2002 7:57pm Amuse yourself and make things a bit better for those around you. Supernatural capacity is as vital as musicianship. Ultimately you have eternity to do what will happen. It would be a shame to let awareness atrophy though. What could you manifest out of guilt? Lady Godiva? You're standing nude on the horse aren't you? Making the horse fly is an option too. |
| mandy | (reply to spidertea) posted 21-Apr-2002 8:46pm The survey question says *LOOK* not *LIFT* Yes, the unwanted lifting of a skirt is a crime. That is not what the question asked. The survey question does not say *LIFT GIRLS SKIRTS* What happened to you was wrong. No one should be allowed to *TOUCH* anyone else who does not want to be touched, let alone hold them down and do what they will. The adults in charge failed to protect you and that was wrong. I am sorry you had to be subjected to that. This survey was about looking. You assumed from your own horrible experience that to look up a skirt, the girl must have to be touched, poked even and prodded. EGADS! That is not what looking up a skirt means. Not everything sexual that happens in the world is sexually offensive or criminal. |
| Cain | posted 22-Apr-2002 4:23am It has happened on occasion. But it wasn't through choice. |

| spidertea | (reply to mandy) posted 22-Apr-2002 5:10pm Yes, you are correct. It said look not lift. I took it that way though because I am way too jaded! I work at a sexual assault program and have been dealing with a lot of sexual assault and harassment lately- so it fresh on my mind. |

| Biggles | (reply to actress) posted 14-May-2002 2:44pm They cover all the bases in this case. Surely it's got to be yes or no? |
| actress | (reply to Biggles) posted 14-May-2002 2:48pm True, well.. I guess if you're attracted to the same sex this would apply to some women two. I would have put I'm a woman or I'm gay etc. |
