Its pretty difficult to say. I still listen to songs from my childhood that were more relevant then than now. But they bring fond memories. But I like songs about being lonely and unloved. Maybe in the future I might be happy and not care for them songs again. Maybe I'll grow up and stop looking and just be content. But to try and answer your question - I can't imagine a life without listening to The Smiths Kate Bush Led Zepplin Sandie Shaw |

Songs by Depeche Mode. Timeless classics that manage to capture all the various aspects of my life. |

The Macarena and Mambo Number Five. Oh wait--those are the ones I'll never listen to. My bad. |

Oh, there are so many. Here's a short list, but there are many more.
Lightning Crashes by Live Grandpa by The Judd's Song of the South by Alabama Mouth by Merril Bainbridge Dear Mama by 2Pac Joy To The World by Three Dog Night Mrs. Robinson by Simon and Garfunkle Only God Knows Why by Kid Rock Here I Go Again by Whitesnake Rock Me Like A Hurricane by Scorpions Cherry Pie by Warrant One Of Us by Joan Osborne Ironic by Alanis Morisette Strawberry Wine by Deana Carter Just about everything released by Cher
Okay, my list got a little longer than I expected. I could have went on for days. As you can see from my list, I have a taste for a variety of music. Everything from country to rap.

I love people who love variety. You would love British radio! DJ: Well that was 'Sweet Child O mine' by Guns and Roses. And now Dolly Parton 'I will Always Love you' followed by Oasis and there classic hit 'Wonderwall'. And don't forget Metallica will be in later along with Puff Daddy on the panel to answer your calls. Apparantly in America (?) you have stuff like Rock stations and country stations etc. Here we just shove everything into the melting pot and see what comes out. Maybe that's why Brit music is so different. When you read interviews with Brit bands and artists and they list their influences then you get a whole range of stuff. (p.s. Welcome back by the way ) |

Hmmmm, you know, I don't know. So much of the music I like tends to come and go in phases. I guess I'll probably always like classical and jazz. And I'll probably always like a lot of 80s music, just because of the nostalgia factor. I don't know about the rest. I might like it in 20 years, I might not. |

I probably would love Brit radio! Yeah, in America we have stations for only certain types of music. We also have mix stations, but they don't mix EVERYTHING. The mix stations (at least here) only mix rap and rock and stuff like that. I forgot about Metallica. I don't know how I could do that. Unforgiven has special meaning to me. (I lost my virginity to that song) I know that was a little too much info! |

Country -- the one remaining American music art form. Crosby, Stills and Nash, Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn and God knows what else strikes my fancy. I love it. It makes me feel safe and peaceful. |

All of them. Really, far too many to list. Okay, if you insist, here's a few:
The Nile Song - Pink Floyd Messages Received - Cabaret Voltaire Being Boiled - Human League Walk Through This World With Me - George Jones No One Driving - John Foxx Black Snake Moan - Blind Lemon Jefferson Wined And Dined - Syd Barrett
Okay, I think that's enough... |

"Forever Young" by Rod Stewart because I have a video of my son when he was about a year old with this song as the theme. Lots of others, but that one in particular. |

I like a lot of 60's, 70's and 80's. I am also a huge fan of Frank Sinatra. The list would go on and on...but a few are: "Tales of Brave Ulysees"- Cream "Don't Fear the Reaper" Blue Oyster Cult "Nothing Else Matters"- Metallica "Wish You Were Here"- Pink Floyd And of Course: "Freebird"- Lynyrd Skynyrd And this was a fantastic survey! It really made me reminesce about a lot of things. A few years ago my best friend (now my hubby) were seperated by about 3,000 miles and he used to call and play "Wish You Were Here" on his acoustic guitar for me. I still get all teary eyed when I hear it. |
