| Zang | posted 2-Apr-2002 3:45pm I like the arty European stuff that is filmed in black & white, with subtitles. Particularly the ones from the 60s...and then the 50s. Hell, going right back to the silent ones. |
| CarolL | posted 2-Apr-2002 4:26pm I like movies that challenge me intellectually like a psychological thriller. |
| Cain | posted 2-Apr-2002 5:18pm I like any movie that stirs up intense feelings in me - it can be anything from a cartoon to a horror to a porno. From the list, my general favourite would be Horrors. |
| vader | posted 2-Apr-2002 5:23pm Science fiction I guess. I mean the greatest movies created are the Star Wars movies, and now The Lord of the Rings are starting to come out and they're great also. |
| Gamera | posted 2-Apr-2002 5:28pm I like many kinds of movies- I'm not so into "romantic comedies," though, and I hate horror. |
| spidertea | posted 2-Apr-2002 5:46pm One with an unpredictable plot where the characters make realistic choices and have depth. |
| confetti | posted 2-Apr-2002 7:19pm Anything except horror or porn |
| confetti | posted 2-Apr-2002 7:21pm Actually I have terrible taste in movies. I usually scoff at those critically-acclaimed movies and obstinately love those awful, predictable-script targeted-for-the-lowest-intelligence quotient-audience flicks |
| mandy | posted 2-Apr-2002 7:49pm Pornography followed closely by Horror |
| darkshadowsseeker | posted 2-Apr-2002 8:19pm Most of the options with the exception of porno and with the additon of action/adventure type movies. |
| Frostbrand | posted 2-Apr-2002 9:54pm Good ones. That's my fave kind. |
| Galomorro | posted 2-Apr-2002 10:16pm Horror most; then documentaries. Some comedies; some animation. |
| southernyankee | posted 2-Apr-2002 11:04pm comedy, drama, scifi, animated I dont really like romance or horror. |
| Amanda | posted 2-Apr-2002 11:14pm I like comedy, horror, drama, romance, documentaries, based on a true story, adapted from screenplay and action packed. I guess my favorite would be comedy or drama. I can't stand sci-fi and refuse to watch them. |
| kaleb777 | posted 3-Apr-2002 3:33am I like art house because they can actually be funny, dramatic, scary or anything. It seems the way a movie qualifies for art house is that it either has a homosexual love scene and too many references to homosexuality or it isn't predictable enough for the stiffs out there. |
| Kristal_Rose | posted 3-Apr-2002 5:03am Drama, especially metaphysical-scifi-fantasy-surreal. Basically somewhere between Songcatcher, Brazil, and Lost Highway. |
| Kristal_Rose | (reply to mandy) posted 3-Apr-2002 5:05am I can't stand either. Is anyone directing good pornographic horror yet? |
| Dino | posted 3-Apr-2002 6:45am I do like a good comedy. |
| Dino | (reply to confetti) posted 3-Apr-2002 6:46am I saw that in the pics awhile ago! It was fantastic! |
| Biggles | posted 3-Apr-2002 7:03am I don't have a favourite "type" |
| confetti | (reply to Dino) posted 3-Apr-2002 4:24pm Yay! |
| The_Frog | posted 3-Apr-2002 9:06pm Movies are the best!!!! |
| The_Frog | (reply to southernyankee) posted 3-Apr-2002 9:10pm hey man to each their own!! what is your favourite sci fi??? |
| mandy | (reply to Kristal_Rose) posted 3-Apr-2002 9:15pm Is there ever good pornography? Or Good horror? |
| Oscar | posted 3-Apr-2002 9:45pm Romantic drama |
| Jemmy | posted 4-Apr-2002 2:31pm I like several kinds, but probably romantic comedy or drama. |
| southernyankee | (reply to The_Frog) posted 4-Apr-2002 3:50pm i dont really know. I saw a few sliders episodes, i say honey i shunk the kids, (some movie where a huge plant took over chicago), and I generlly like movies where there's a computer nerd type of guy whose all laid back. But reacently, i haven't watched much TV in a while. I mainly watch sitcoms whenever i can, but i usually dont watch that many movies and when i do, i usually dont remember their name. |
| The_Frog | (reply to southernyankee) posted 5-Apr-2002 4:55pm cool. i have seen so many movies lately that i can't even begin to count..Pitch Black..American Pie 2..Lord of the Rings... |
| southernyankee | (reply to The_Frog) posted 5-Apr-2002 5:06pm damn! I am going to have to catch up and all the movies i missed. Especially Training Day. |
| The_Frog | (reply to southernyankee) posted 5-Apr-2002 9:08pm ya.. i haven't seen that yet, though i am dying to. have you seen hearts in atlantis, i t si really good, 'specially after reading the book! |
| juliw | posted 6-Apr-2002 12:59pm comedy, drama, and romance |
| ransmom1984 | posted 7-Apr-2002 11:39pm I would have voted for "I love them all!" if you hadn't included Porn in the mix. |

| southernyankee | (reply to The_Frog) posted 8-Apr-2002 10:30am never heard of it but i'd take your word for it |
| phildip | posted 8-Apr-2002 9:56pm i have to say the best five movies are (in cronoligical order) "clerks" "mallrats" "chasing amy" "dogma" and "jay and silent bob strike back" this is only my opinion though. |
| Frostbrand | (reply to phildip) posted 8-Apr-2002 10:17pm Me too! Have you seen any of the NON Jay & Bob View Askew flicks (Drawing Flies and A Better Place)? Vulgar opens in limited release this month (N.Y. and L.A.), directed by Bryan "Steve-Dave" Johnson and starring Brian "Dante Hicks" O'Halloran. |
| Dino | (reply to Frostbrand) posted 10-Apr-2002 8:56am Oh my christ! What are you and phildip twins or something. Lets hope he stays (if only for your sake). |
| Frostbrand | (reply to Dino) posted 10-Apr-2002 1:50pm I agree. I like this guy, PLUS, bill can prove (in case anyone makes the accusation) that we're not the same person. |
| icurok | posted 11-Apr-2002 3:09pm There are only good films and bad films. I prefer good films. |
| Frostbrand | (reply to icurok) posted 11-Apr-2002 3:22pm That's kinda what I said. Glad someone agrees with me. Frankly I find the whole concept of Genre appaling. Why anyone would deprive themselves of a good movie just because it's in a genre they've decided to steer clear of is beyond me. |
| grmbrand | posted 11-Apr-2002 5:52pm Good movies. I hate the bad ones. |
| icurok | (reply to Frostbrand) posted 11-Apr-2002 6:43pm Exactly! Although there are certain genres I tend to steer clear of, only because experience tells me that films of that genre are (on the whole) poorly made. Made for TV movies based on a true story rarely interest me, especially ones called something like "Give me back my baby, you bastard", or "Won't somebody think of the children?". By the way, I finally saw Battle Royale at the weekend. It blew me away. Intense, thought-provoking, sickening, touching, desperate, brutal. In other words, just the sort of film Hollywood would never make in a million years. |
| Frostbrand | (reply to icurok) posted 11-Apr-2002 6:58pm Did I recomend that flick? Doesn't ring a bell. The last moives I seriously plugged for were A Better Place and Drawing Flies. |
| icurok | (reply to Frostbrand) posted 12-Apr-2002 6:37am No you didn't recommend it, but (film buff that you are) I thought you would have heard of it, or maybe have it on your list of must-see films. It's a Japanese film about a class of high school students taken to a remote island and forced to kill each other until only one remains. |
| Frostbrand | (reply to icurok) posted 12-Apr-2002 8:15pm I've heard of it, yes, but I've never seen it. |
| freebird_old | posted 20-Apr-2002 4:08am I like lots of different movies, especially 80s style slasher flicks. I also like movies that make you think, especially about life, movies with ironic twists, and even documentaries. |
| The_Frog | (reply to freebird_old) posted 21-Apr-2002 10:29pm Have you ever seen "It" or "Cujo"? If you havent, i recommend them! |
| freebird_old | (reply to The_Frog) posted 21-Apr-2002 11:53pm Yes, I have and they are both excellent! |
| ASexyBabesToy | (reply to mandy) posted 25-Apr-2002 3:59pm My favorite porn title is "mandy Does ASBT". Ever seen it? |
| mandy | (reply to ASexyBabesToy) posted 25-Apr-2002 6:12pm Hmmmmmm Yes, a thousand times! ...it's playing again in a few seconds! *closes her eyes* *grins* AHHHHHH! |
| ASexyBabesToy | (reply to mandy) posted 26-Apr-2002 5:47pm It's a NASTY porn. |
| mandy | (reply to ASexyBabesToy) posted 26-Apr-2002 9:43pm I especially enjoy the part where we break the glass shower door and keep going even though we're cut to ribbons and water is flooding the bathroom! |
