Have you ever cried for the silliest reason?

Firstly my apologies. This is a very difficult survey to create and for some to answer.

For many - if a situation has caused you to get upset and cry then its perfectly valid to suggest that the reason was not at all silly.

However I would like to know if you have cried but, looking back, you have been amazed at how silly it was that such a situation could provoke such an extreme reaction.

Okay I am surprised this got through unscathed in qual.

Okay. So I was 11 and in the dinner queue in school. And in front of me was a girl with blonde hair and a round face.
As we both got to the counter they were serving fishfingers, chips and beans. The girl, Julie Wooley, said she didn't like fishfingers and the dinner lady said felt sorry for her (as I did) and asked if she wanted a fried egg instead. She looked happy and said yes. I was happy to see her smiley face but as I turned to look at her I thought - 'y'know you look like a fried egg' and I walked back to the table with my tray and started silently weeping for the girl who looked like a fried egg.

Don't ask! * wry smile *

i have cried out of sheer joy...has anyone else?
it is such an amazing feeling, truly cleanses the soul

and yes, i have cried over silly things too, but that hasn't been for a while...it takes a lot for me to cry now, where as in my younger days, i cried at the drop of a hat

Yes, unfortunately. When I get angry, I cry, then I feel frustrated, because I let that person get to me.

In the grip of pubescent hormones, I once cried when I got a hole in my sock.

Oh yeah, lots of times. I don't know if I would say "often", but certainly more than once.

Sometimes I cry for no reason at all. Not often, just every once in a while. I just feel like crying and I cry. It's cleansing for the soul. I always feel like a brand new person after I have a good cry. I was very sensitive as a child and got my feelings hurt a lot over little stuff. So, I guess I cried over silly things then.

Sorry for thinking that is hysterically funny, but I do. Just picturing it makes me fall off my chair.

My hormones are completely FRUCKED. I never knew diabetes could fudge up your hormones until last week.

I was just diagnosed with type2... it's severely complicated so I'm not going to try to sound like I know what I'm talking about.. I just know that it's all connected with your endocrine system (diabetes) somehow... and that has to do with your hormones too. Sorry, I know I'm not much help. * frown * I also have Polycystic Ovarian Disease and the doctor just told me that it was caused by diabetes. That really sucks because now my doctor is freaking out about potential kidney failure... this could have been caught when I was diagnosed with the POD a year ago.

Anyway, I have an appointment with an Endocrinologist Friday and maybe that will give me some clarity.

Thanks.. but don't be sorry.. I've been having problems for years and no one could tell me what was the matter... Finally I'm getting some answers, and I'm relieved... Also, it's kind of like death gave me a wake up call... which was really nice of her. * smile *
