| romkey | posted 26-Mar-2002 9:04am I think I'm the only person from my hometown. I don't even know where my hometown is. |
| Lex | posted 26-Mar-2002 9:18am I'd be Damon Albarn, of Blur. |
| Jemmy | posted 26-Mar-2002 10:04am Um...I guess I could be Sarah Maclachlan. She went to my juniour high and high school. |
| CarolL | posted 26-Mar-2002 10:07am I'd have to be Shania Twain. She's from Timmins, Ontario Canada and that's about 300 miles North from where I live. |
| CarolL | (reply to Dino) posted 26-Mar-2002 10:08am Michael J. Fox used to live in my city as a teenager. He's not a famous singer, though, so I guess that doesn't count. This is a hell of a survey, Dino. Good job. |
| CarolL | (reply to Lex) posted 26-Mar-2002 10:09am I've never heard of Damon Albarn or Blur. That must be a band, right? |
| Lex | (reply to CarolL) posted 26-Mar-2002 10:15am Yes, popular british band of a few years ago. Shania is lovely... great figure. Looked wonderful in a tight rubber catsuit. |
| Cain | posted 26-Mar-2002 10:25am I don't know of anybody from my hometown who is a famous singer. Apparently Halle Berry comes from my area though. Found that out on the news last night. |

| confetti | posted 26-Mar-2002 10:49am From San Francisco... All I can think of is the guys from Train, and bleah! Okay: "And now she's back in the atmosphere, with drops of jupiter in her hair, yeah eh eh yeah..." |

| CarolL | (reply to Lex) posted 26-Mar-2002 11:21am I agree. I think she is very beautiful. She had a hard time growing up. I think she deserves everything she has. Good to talk to you, Lex. |
| Lex | (reply to CarolL) posted 26-Mar-2002 11:31am So are you going to put on the leopardskin outfit and start singing then ? |
| Lex | (reply to Cain) posted 26-Mar-2002 11:32am Halle Berry gave the most ridiculous public spectacle ever at the oscars.. It was real cringe-making stuff! |
| cuteasabutton | posted 26-Mar-2002 11:48am Agnes Poetry/ "Until" (Provo Utah) When I come down from lofty skies And see your eyes They tremble like my eyes When I encompass shards of broken glass My mind imprisoned like a screaming child As you speak to my heart don't you know where to start The barrier is built so tightly killing all who enter Now I can't rely on the black of your eye As I run secretly And in a cloud of mist and a stream of gold I know I'm safe inside my world Until I feel your voice inside my place And I know you've found my happiness My bones so frail I'll grind to dust... And winds shall grasp and scatter It is funny, but when I saw this in qual- this band didn't even come to mind. I guess they were not very memorable people to know. When my husband and I went to a local show, we actually went to see this particular band and then ended up meeting them and hanging out with them a few times after that, we went out to coffee and crap. But then we just lost contact with them. I saw Rannock working at the blockbuster video a few times and he didn't say hello to me, I guess he just thought he was too good to be polite or something. It makes me laugh-cause' I knew that he used to work for "Merry Maids"(a housekeeping service)and I know that he was not very proud of it. Randon and Ranita used to tease him about it. Anyway- It is really too bad that they ended up being dull personalities, thier music is pretty good. |
| CarolL | (reply to Lex) posted 26-Mar-2002 11:48am Me? Sing? The dogs will be howling from miles around. But I'll wear the leopard skin |
| Biggles | posted 26-Mar-2002 11:50am I'd have to be Jarvis Cocker (from Pulp). "Tonight Matthew, I'm going to be Jarvis Cocker!" |
| confetti | (reply to Lex) posted 26-Mar-2002 12:02pm I know! She looked like an idiot with her mouth hanging open like that. And what was that crap she said about wanting another 74 years to give her speech about? |
| Lex | (reply to CarolL) posted 26-Mar-2002 12:04pm I love singing, though I'm REALLY bad at it. I occasionally sing at work even, when I'm bored or fancy a laugh. hmmmmmm the leopard skin.... *swoons* |

| Gamera | posted 26-Mar-2002 3:16pm Well, folks, There are many fine artists from the Boston area, it's true, but I'd like to sing a number tonight from a fellow child of Baltimore, Maryland, who later attended my alma mater, Rhode Island School of Design... Mr. David Byrne. |

| TylersMamma | (reply to Wicksy) posted 26-Mar-2002 9:48pm Welcome back! How was your trip? |
| Amanda | posted 26-Mar-2002 11:36pm Let's see. I can't think of a famous singer from my hometown. Elvis was born about 3 hours north of me, but since I'm a female, I don't think it'd sound right for me to perform as him. Britney Spears is from a town about 4 hours south of me. But, I hate her music and refuse to act like her. So, that leaves me singing as myself. |

| icurok | (reply to Dino) posted 28-Mar-2002 4:30am I love that song too. The line "There's a club if you'd like to go, you could meet somebody who really loves you. So you go and you stand on your own, and you leave on your own, and you go home and you cry and you want to die" just about sums me up aged 16-21. |
