| juliw | posted 24-Mar-2002 5:34pm I rated them water, juice, iced tea, milk, coffee, beer. I only drink water now. No booze, no soda pop, no mixed drinks, no juices. |
| Iseult | posted 24-Mar-2002 6:24pm beer iced tea water coffee orange juice milk |
| romkey | posted 24-Mar-2002 6:24pm water, iced tea, oj, coffee, milk, beer. but I'm a fairly picky drinker especially about water, coffee and tea. |
| Galomorro | posted 24-Mar-2002 7:32pm I do not like beer at all, nor plain, regular milk (I like evaporated milk though, undiluted). Iced tea would be best, ANY kind, especially Thai iced tea or any iced tea with lemon. Second would be OJ, third coffee (with cream, please), and fourth would be water... |
| confetti | posted 24-Mar-2002 8:18pm I just drank 15 glasses of water, so no thanks. I love the first day of my period...deflate...deflate...deflate. |
| Cleo | posted 24-Mar-2002 8:37pm For today.......right now......this minute??? WATER!! Lots of water & keep it coming....please. I have a hangover. |
| SueBee | posted 24-Mar-2002 9:16pm Beer, please! But only if it's a good quality beer. I can't stand the cheap watered down junk. In fact, I think I'll go get one for myself right now. Thanks for the idea! |
| SueBee | (reply to Cleo) posted 24-Mar-2002 9:17pm Oh, you poor thing. I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you're feeling better. |
| Gamera | posted 25-Mar-2002 2:12am Just water, please, it's 2am and I've been really sick all weekend, so nothing else will do. |
| Cain | posted 25-Mar-2002 5:52am Milk, Orange Juice, Water, Iced Tea, Beer, Coffee. If you really wanted to make my day, you'd get me a triple vodka and coke. Or perhaps just a cup of tetley tea would do. |
| Dino | posted 25-Mar-2002 7:59am Coffee, water, orange juice, beer, iced tea, milk. Although being a Brit I'd prefer a nice cuppa tea. |
| Dino | (reply to Cleo) posted 25-Mar-2002 8:01am |
| Lex | posted 25-Mar-2002 9:37am coffee right now, but it depends on time of day. |
| Lex | posted 25-Mar-2002 9:39am Have to agree with dino.. cup of pg tips would be ideal. |
| Biggles | posted 25-Mar-2002 11:35am 1) Water 2) Orange juice As for the rest - I'd drink my own urine first. Well, not right now because it isn't quite.......oh never mind!!! |
| Biggles | (reply to confetti) posted 25-Mar-2002 11:37am *thinks you probably don't end up writhing on the floor in agony if you can say that* *glares at you* *goes off in a huff* *is hormonally imbalanced* *comes back with a chainsaw and looks at you menacingly* |
| confetti | (reply to Biggles) posted 25-Mar-2002 12:42pm confetti's tips for actually liking all weeks of the month 1) Drink more than enough water. At least 8 glasses a day. 2) Lay off on salt. 3) Exercise. 4) Take a lot of warm baths. 5) Get more than enough sleep. At least 8 hours a day. 6) Have a positive outlook. |
| Biggles | (reply to confetti) posted 25-Mar-2002 12:52pm Claire's tips for surviving the near future: 1) Never, *ever* suggest to a hormonally imbalanced woman ways that she could be more cheerful. 2) Never, *ever* assume that all menstrual problems can be solved with a few easy steps. This will get your head bitten off. 3) Don't suggest having a positive outlook to someone who has partly turned into a homicidal maniac. |
| cuteasabutton | (reply to Biggles) posted 25-Mar-2002 2:00pm Have you ever tried a corn bag and some red wine? Works wonders for me! And if not .... I just drink the whole damn bottle of red wine.... > |
| confetti | (reply to Biggles) posted 25-Mar-2002 2:14pm *takes fifty steps in the opposite direction* Seriously, warm baths... Okay... *takes fifty more* |
| Gamera | (reply to Biggles) posted 25-Mar-2002 2:17pm I just discovered Valium as a cold remedy. I still felt like crap, still couldn't breath through my nose, BUT, I didn't care! |
| Biggles | (reply to cuteasabutton) posted 25-Mar-2002 4:34pm I'm not sure what a corn bag is and I don't drink, so I've never tried that one |
| Biggles | (reply to confetti) posted 25-Mar-2002 4:34pm Run away little girl, run away, run away!!! > |

| spidertea | (reply to Biggles) posted 25-Mar-2002 4:46pm Having a rough day? PMS sucks. Have you tried a hormonal shot? (Lunelle or Depo-Prevera.) They get rid of your period completely. It is SO GREAT. |
| Biggles | (reply to spidertea) posted 25-Mar-2002 4:54pm I'm not too keen on hormonal treatments - I don't even want to go on the Pill, but I would consider it. Unfortunately it's not really an option right now. I have unexplained vaginal bleeding on top of all my usual stuff. My doctor keeps trying to get me to go on the Pill for that but I think that's just treating the symptoms and not the underlying cause. A bit like brushing it under the carpet! Plus, I had a reaction to the progestogen drugs I had to take for a couple of weeks to try and settle my hormones. It looks like I started haemolysing so I don't think I really want to take progestogen drugs in the future.......... But the getting rid of periods completely sounds wonderful!!! *goes off into happy dreams* |

| cuteasabutton | (reply to Biggles) posted 26-Mar-2002 11:09am The corn bag is something my friend gave me... she sewed a fabric bag with special corn in it that won't pop. I heat it up in the microwave and it is like a heating pad. I don't know where she got the corn though.... I guess a heating pad would work good too. Gee, some help I am! |
| Biggles | (reply to cuteasabutton) posted 26-Mar-2002 11:36am I use a hot water bottle |
| cuteasabutton | (reply to Biggles) posted 27-Mar-2002 1:45pm Oh-my-hell, she like DIED??? Freak- I don't think I will be trying those then! We have them here! That is scary! |
| Biggles | (reply to cuteasabutton) posted 27-Mar-2002 1:51pm It was her fault - she heated it up *way* too much. And they probably make them from a reinforced material now. |
| Biggles | (reply to cuteasabutton) posted 27-Mar-2002 1:52pm And she probably wouldn't have died if she hadn't been so old either. |
| Cleo | (reply to SueBee) posted 28-Mar-2002 4:03am 3/27/12:57pm I was feeling better dayssssssssss ago. But,tonight I got a little tippsy & I think I'm in for another HANG OVER tomorrow. BUT.......I've switched from ZIMA to red wine. I'm sooooooooooooo F'd right now, I just don't care. |
| SueBee | (reply to cuteasabutton) posted 30-Mar-2002 4:06pm You can probably get regular old dried whole corn kernels at a feed store. It looks just like canned sweet corn, but it's dried. That kind won't pop. |
| SueBee | (reply to Cleo) posted 30-Mar-2002 4:07pm Sounds like you need a big (((HUG))). I do hope things are going better. |
| cuteasabutton | (reply to SueBee) posted 30-Mar-2002 5:14pm Oh- yeah, I bet that is where she got them. I am a dingbat! |
| SueBee | (reply to cuteasabutton) posted 30-Mar-2002 5:19pm No you're not! I know about it because I work at a feed store and people come in a lot asking for corn to use for those things. |
