Can I get you something to drink?

But the thing is, I'm not sure what I've got in the kitchen.
So, tell me what you want the most (rank #1), but if I don't have that, what would you like instead (rank #2)? If we don't have that....
I think you get the idea.

I rated them water, juice, iced tea, milk, coffee, beer. I only drink water now. No booze, no soda pop, no mixed drinks, no juices.

I do not like beer at all, nor plain, regular milk (I like evaporated milk though, undiluted). Iced tea would be best, ANY kind, especially Thai iced tea or any iced tea with lemon. Second would be OJ, third coffee (with cream, please), and fourth would be water...

Beer, please! But only if it's a good quality beer. I can't stand the cheap watered down junk. In fact, I think I'll go get one for myself right now. Thanks for the idea!

If you really wanted to make my day, you'd get me a triple vodka and coke. Or perhaps just a cup of tetley tea would do.

Although being a Brit I'd prefer a nice cuppa tea.

As for the rest - I'd drink my own urine first. Well, not right now because it isn't quite.......oh never mind!!!

Claire's tips for surviving the near future:

1) Never, *ever* suggest to a hormonally imbalanced woman ways that she could be more cheerful.
2) Never, *ever* assume that all menstrual problems can be solved with a few easy steps. This will get your head bitten off.
3) Don't suggest having a positive outlook to someone who has partly turned into a homicidal maniac.

Having a rough day?
PMS sucks.
Have you tried a hormonal shot? (Lunelle or Depo-Prevera.) They get rid of your period completely. It is SO GREAT.

I'm not too keen on hormonal treatments - I don't even want to go on the Pill, but I would consider it. Unfortunately it's not really an option right now. I have unexplained vaginal bleeding on top of all my usual stuff. My doctor keeps trying to get me to go on the Pill for that but I think that's just treating the symptoms and not the underlying cause. A bit like brushing it under the carpet! * wry smile *

Plus, I had a reaction to the progestogen drugs I had to take for a couple of weeks to try and settle my hormones. It looks like I started haemolysing so I don't think I really want to take progestogen drugs in the future..........

But the getting rid of periods completely sounds wonderful!!! * smile * Maybe soon......

*goes off into happy dreams*

The corn bag is something my friend gave me... she sewed a fabric bag with special corn in it that won't pop. I heat it up in the microwave and it is like a heating pad. I don't know where she got the corn though.... I guess a heating pad would work good too. Gee, some help I am! * smile *

I use a hot water bottle * smile * But I did keep reading about gel pads that you can buy and heat up in the microwave. Then one exploded on an old lady because she heated it too much and they had to withdraw them because she died.....

It was her fault - she heated it up *way* too much. And they probably make them from a reinforced material now.
