I don't think I'd ever search. |

Must have: intelligence, sense of humor, compassion, empathy Bonuses: Tall, dark hair |
| confetti | | posted 22-Mar-2002 2:20pm |
A real man. Courageous, passionate and compassionate, as well as bright and interesting. He must love children and pets and occasionally write me incredibly gooey poetry. Looks only come last. I usually prefer guys who are not much taller than I am (5 ft.7 - 6 ft.1) with some build, although I don't want a gosh darn Fabio or anything. Hair: slightly shaggy I abhorr extremely short hair on men. Dark or golden eyes are very beautiful as well as dark or golden skin. So mainly he just has to look like a combination of Dustin Hoffman/Kevin Bacon/Orlando Bloom/Victor Mallarino/Viggo Mortensen/George Clooney |

it's really hard to say...i knew when i was looking, but as soon as i found him, none of that all mattered anymore, for he IS everything that i was looking for, it just took me 21 years to find him |
| justjulie | | (reply to confetti) posted 22-Mar-2002 2:24pm |
that's all wonderful, but be forewarned that once you find him, chances are that he'll be gay |
| confetti | | posted 22-Mar-2002 2:26pm |
Aargh...about that 'gooey poetry'. Got a love letter from David (who encompasses all of the above) stating in his beautiful cursive: "Tus formas de ninfa me llenan con alegrķa y amor" ("Your nymph-like ways fill me with happiness and love"). Never talked to the guy in my life. Spaniard with a great passion for music, eighteen years old, senior in my h.s. Gaaaaaah! So I wrote back. But I have a terrible feeling that at this moment that innocent slip of white paper with my own cursive spelled out in red is being passed around with the glee that those demons who call themselves my friends ordinarily have. I actually cried at school when I knew someone had gossiped about the whole thing. I hate it when people betray me. Argh. What a day. |

eech, that's a tough one sister
i guess all that i can say is go w/ your GUT; not your heart and not your mind, but your gut. i dunno, he maybe really wonderful for real and it could develop into a serious little something...BUT i remember being 14 and i really liked this senior at my highschool, anyhow, makes me sick to my stomach to think about, but it turned out that it was pretty much a joke and he was a freak same thing happened a couple of other times, too when i was around your age... so i guess all i can say is, chances are is that it's all bullcrap, but i hope for your little heart that it's not so, you know, play it cool and act like you could give a rats ass one way or another, even though you prolly want to explode.... good luck girl, for i wouldn't want to go back to that place for anything! |

Gee he seems sweet and perfectly fine to me...but you got me all worried. My instincts are pretty honed about this (I'm in that grinny stage, though. I love getting love letters ) Please tell about that senior |

My current SO is more than I could ever ask for. He is wonderful. He is kind, caring, considerate. He loves my son as his own. He has a good job. He can always make me laugh. He holds me while I cry. He loves my family, which is VERY important to me. He likes the outdoors. He writes me sweet, romantic letters from time to time. He is sensitive, but not a total sap. The sex is GREAT What else could a girl ask for? |

Do you really care? I don't feel like doing this. |

On a dating internet site my request reads. Shy skinny pup seeks hairy dog. Sense of humour optional. |

Someone that is kind, patient, and understanding of people with mental disorders. Someone that could support me physically, emotionally, and financially. Someone that wants children. Someone that can handle my mood swings and not get upset by them. |

Before I met my current SO, I made a list of what my ideal SO would be like (kind, good sense of humour, strong sense of justice, a pacifist, similar faith and politics to myself.... etc etc). When I met Shawn I was very scared because he matched up with everything on the list, and I wasn't "ready" for a long term relationhsip..... |

this is a great way to set yourself up for failure and disappointment! Love somebody because you've fallen in love with them, not because of a checklist of attributes. |
| TylersMamma | | posted 27-Mar-2002 3:39am |
He's gotta be talkative... otherwise i'd never shut up (i'm a bit of a talker) He's ambitious, fun loving, layed back, reasonable and witty. A man who can always make me laugh is #1 in my book. He's gotta love cats because Tyler and I are inseperable. I want a man who can read my face... someone who I can look at and know what eachothers thinking. Someone I can talk to for hours and never run out of things to say. Someone who can handle the fact that I cry no matter what mood i'm in. Most importantly he's gotta be okay with my mom... she's got that instinct... every guy i've brought home she's been right about so I trust her. That's like the ultimate test. If my mom likes ya then I can too. Oh... looks aren't that big of a deal... I've noticed that attractive people with ugly personalitys become ugly in time so it all depends on the whole package. Since this is hypothetical... Lets see... I'd like him to be tall... 6'0 to 6'2 but as long as he's over 5'9 its okay... with dark hair and light eyes. I love me some Italian men! |
