Suspicious Minds.

Is that all? I thought there were way more than that...*Zang checks his handy reference book*...Well well, according to mine, "I Beg Of You" only reached #8. Otherwise the list is dead-on. He had tons more Top-40 hits (probably more than anyone), but those are the number ones! I'm not going to count them all, but it looks like he had close to 100 Top-40 hits in about 20 years! Amazing!

I had a bleached oak Zenith Cobramatic monoraul turntable (with a cobra shaped arm) that I would play 'Jail House Rock' to the whole neighborhood with when I was 9. That or the Ventures.

Other -- I don't really care for most of his stuff, but I kinda like an early one on "Sun" label, I think it was, called "Mystery Train." This one probably did not get to #1, though.

"Heartbreak Hotel" is cool but I like "Blue Suede Shoes" better. All in all, I've never been too fond of him. He didn't invent rock & roll. Some hillbilly in Kentucky with a penchant for quick strumming did it probably...

(reply to Cleo) posted 25-Mar-2002 7:59am
yes!!! 5 days and counting!!!
i'm excited, nervous, anxious, scared, antsy....

but, yeah, 5 more days, and i have sooooo much to do, i gotta finish packing today and tomorrow, then the last 3 days i gotta clean and i gotta do laundry one of the days, fun fun....all of my kitties are kind'a freakin' out, they just sort of look at me like, "what the...what are you even doing?" but they're having fun climbing on all of the boxes and playing in some of them...
on saturday, aka: moving day, i'm leaving w/ noah and the kitties and a car full of stuff as soon the help arrives...then going to wally-world, then going to the food pantry, by that time, the help should be to the new place, they're all planning on getting here at 7 a.m for they need a place to park the truck before it gets too busy down here. but, we've got a lot of help, heyzeus and mimind, my bro and his roommate, and a guy that heyzeus and mimind works with....so it should go relatively quick.
watched the weather for this coming week, and the funny thing is, is that saturday is supposed to be the only nice day!! it's supposed to be cold and rainy and snowy all week, except on saturday when it's supposed to be in the lower 50's and sunny, but then they are calling for rain on sunday, but supposed to be in the 50's that day too.
soooo excited!!!!
funny, for heyzeus doesn't remember what the place even looks like, so it'll be a nice suprise for him to see, although i had a dream last night that the people who lived at th place where we're moving, wasn't moved out the day we moved in, they had only taken down a couple of bags and things...argh!!!! scary dream....that's what makes me nervous.
i haven't talked to the lady who ows the place either, just to check in and see if they did indeed paint and if the people are out...i'm scared to do so, and i don't want to keep bothering her, for i know that she has a lot on her plate too...argh!!!! i'm so excited that i could just scream!!!!
but, anyhow, i must get this show on the road, time is a tickin'. we'll probably have the computer hooked up right away, for heyzeus will go through withdrawls if it isn't * laughing out loud *
so, have a beautiful week my sweet friend! MOOO! * smile *

sigh...it is!
very nice change; our neighbors are fabulous..a mexcian family of 5..really great people
one bummer...we ran out of oil to heat the place, the comp[any who delivers will only deliver at least 150 gallons, our tank is 260, but the cost is ridiculous, over a buck a gallon right now, so, we didn't get any in hopes of some warmer weather and sunshine!
this place is pretty great..the acoustics are AWESOME!!!so when i'm singing while cleaning, it actually sounds pretty good * wink *
the kitties love all of the stairs...they just run & run & run & run....much fun for them
noah doesn't much like the wood floors, but it's actually a good thing cause instead of crawling on hands and knees, he's moving w/ his little hands and feet, very cute
and this is a good chance to take inventory of all of our stuff and get rid of icky stuff and what not....

oh yes....something that should have been done many moons ago...
i just found some of my old sketch books from my younger days, eech, that was real fun....i tossed most of the contents, but saved the stuff that isn't finished and that has the potential to get finished...MUST finish some of these, for i still have the visions in my head and they're not going away, so i'm thinking that if i actuallly finish one of these things i'll get a brand new vision to try to work out
yeah...so i think that this is healing because i don't want to carry around those triggers anymore, not trying to forget, for i never could forget, but i just don't need these items anymore, they do more harm than good

this place is really great! LOVE IT!!!

well, i shall definately send photos when i get some, i haven't unpacked my camera yet, even though i know where it is.

kitchen: white walls w/ a light brownish-green trim...purple and copper accents shall fill the room

bathroon: white and dark bright blue; sun/moon/star theme runs throughout the house, especially in the bathroom, the shower curtain and bathmat and shower hooks are the sun/moon/star theme

rest of the house: walls are a beautiful toasted almond color w/ white trim; my curtains are range from a light sky blue, dark blue and a green...sun/moon/star throw rug and wall hanging amd other misc. things; blue is an accent so is a goldish color and coppery color...some green too

great place and i love it!!!!!!

When you become a famous artist, your curators will come to curse you for this decision (I've come to see it as a bit absurd in my own life, it got to a point where my life seemed to be spent doing nothing but organizing my documentation of what I had or would do, instead of doing anything).

right on.....these old sketch books were like journals as well, some writing and stuff in them, i tossed 99% of that stuff, for it mostly was all venting and negative feelings on my part
i'm sure i will be showing noah my old sketch books when he's older, and i'm sure that he may even want to doodle in these old books, but he doesn't need to read all of his momma's frustrations from when she was a teen....i don't want to hold on to phyisical "proof" of those thoughts and feelings either, i know what was going on then, i think that this is good because i'm getting rid of these old tired feelings. i don't necessarily feel or believe these old things, but getting rid of them, i think, will help me move forward, even though i KNOW that i have since then, i think it's good symbolically.
i'm glad that i only have about 5 years of stuff to go through.
when i was 13, i did a cleansing ritual. i found stuff that represented me as a child, the negative end anyhow, placed all of the stuff in a wash tub and set it all on fire and watched the old just melt away. it was very theraputic. like a weight was lifted. ffor i knew that i would never forget my childhood and early adolescence, i just seemed to leap forward literally overnight. for at that time, i attempted to end my life, we obviously know what happened, but when i awoke the next morning, everything seemed bright and brand new. i noticed things that i had forgotten existed. am so grateful for that day. i couldn't even imagine going through my teen years and what-not "blind" to the universe.
so, anyhow, i've been told that i shall be "cursed" for tossing that stuff, but i am my worst and pickiest critic. just saving stuff that has potential or whatever.

(thanks for letting me ramble!**hugs!**)
have a beautiful day!

When I became a yogi, I got rid of most everything. I regret the loss of some journals, my jewelry keepsakes (they disappeared on their own), and some of my record collection (the stuff I liked costs $25-35 to replace at record collectors stores). It was definitely liberating though.
