Unbreakable (okay, but very cheesy), Thirteen Days (okay, but a bit drawn out and it had Kevin Costner * dead face * ) and The Mummy Returns (not a patch on The Mummy).

of this list, I've seen Unbreakable, Meet the Parents, Hannibal, What Lies Beneath, The Mexican, Traffic, Charlie's Angels, Chocolat and The Mummy Returns. I ended up wishing I hadn't bothered to see Meet the Parents or What Lies Beneath... blech.

Just Charlie's Angels and The Mummy Returns.

I never went to see Hannibal because someone told me what happens at the end - and like Jodie Foster I refused out of principle and disgust to be a part of such nastiness. * dead face *

Hannibal was horrible. They changed the ending from the book and left out a key character-Mason Verger's sister who kills him in quite an inventive fashion using an electric eel.

I used to be quite a movie goer. "Cast Away", "Meet the parents", "What lies beneath" (we walked out of that one because it sucked ass, so it might not count), "The Mexican", "Traffic" (LOVED that one), "Bring it on", "The Wedding Planner" (which is one of those movies you forget until you see it in a survey option, like "Bounce" or "Serendipity"), "What Women Want", "Charlie's Angels" (just because I have a crush on Drew), "Chocolat" (which was pretty), "Coyote Ugly" (which was repulsive) and "Me, Myself & Irene" (which was twice as repulsive).

I'm trying to motivate myself to go see "A Beautiful Mind" with Anj. It's excellent, of course, but I hate it when the leading role is one of those that you can't like but could never dislike. BLAH. Anj has seen it three times already and we usually coincide on film tastes so I should probably go with him. He saw "LotR" seven times to my four.

Not seen any because I've been unemployed and can't afford to go to movies.

I have seen them all except for Unbreakable, Bring It On, Thirteen Days, Chocolat, The Mummy Returns, Exit Wounds, and Save the Last Dance. I bought Chocolat on DVD, but I've never opened it. Dominic, my fiance, has The Mummy Returns and Unbreakable on DVD, but I have never watched them, either. I didn't like The Mummy, so I wasn't going to waste my time watching The Mummy Returns.

Just hearing the explanation stopped me in my tracks and made me feel all upset and disgusted at the state of peoples minds and the knowledge that Hollywood thought they could show something like this.

Well, you didn't miss much. The movie was pure crap. Another movie to avoid is the new version of The Time Machine. One of my son's friends took him to see it yesterday and my son said it was one of the worst movies he'd seen in long time.

You must have a huge collection! Once you buy them, do you watch them again more than once? No, but thanks anyway. I will just wait until they all come out on video or DVD, then rent them when I can, or watch them over at my neighbor's apt. (he's got a DVD player, not me). He is always downloading trailers off the Web and showing them to me, and I think I may soon get treated to a new film or two by him...! Once in a while I can get something I like at the local library branch too. I don't really like to go to movies all that much myself -- due to lines, the cost, it's more comfortable at home, kids making noise, for example, but occasionally I can be talked into it if the film seems really good, and especially if it is gonna look a lot better on that large screen. Again, nice of you to offer...

Yes,we do have an extensive collection of VHS movies.Sometimes,I feel that I might not want to watch them again,I just give them away.I have a co-worker that makes movies & sells them to us for $7.00 I get most of them from him,the rest,I buy from local stores.I wish I had a DVD player. * frown *

But,hey no problem Dude! Just looking out for my friends here at SC. * wink *

On the enjoyable movie front - I went to see The Matrix last night at the Prince Charles Cinema (which is a retro cinema - have I mentioned it before?)

I would someday love to get a DVD player too. They are so much better made and clearer and I especially love the features on them that offer different languages. It's great to be able to listen in one language and have captions below in a different language, or vice versa. So cool for people interested in learning other languages.

Yeah. I thought it was really good. Most who have been to see it said they liked it. Which is the same re: 'Moulin Rouge'. I shall look forward to seeing that. I'm trying to get in to see 'The Others' soon. That had mixed reviews.

I really didn't like much about the Matrix except for the visual effects. Of course, Keanu Reeves was in it and I'm not too fond of him. I haven't seen The Others yet.
