| Jemmy | posted 21-Feb-2002 1:47pm I haven't played it yet, but I would like to. |
| CarolL | posted 21-Feb-2002 2:06pm What are SIMS? |
| Biggles | posted 21-Feb-2002 2:17pm Yes and I like it. I just wish I had more time to play it. The thing is, it's quite addictive but not a lot seems to happen - it's very repetitive. Not a patch on the great games (like UFO). |
| Dino | posted 21-Feb-2002 2:27pm No, I have never played it but I am seriously considering buying it and I am looking forwarding to reading the results of this survey to help me decide. |
| romkey | posted 21-Feb-2002 3:03pm i played it and didn't like it enough to keep playing it |
| spidertea | posted 21-Feb-2002 3:15pm I'm a Sim's junkie. I have all the expansion packs, and have downloaded many things as well! What a geek! |
| Gamera | posted 21-Feb-2002 3:29pm Nah, it doesn't really interest me. |
| confetti | posted 21-Feb-2002 4:12pm It was banned here. The Church had a field day with the whole "pretend to be God". God. God. God. God. There! I spelled it correctly. Everyone just a little more happy, right? |
| Zang | posted 21-Feb-2002 4:56pm I've played Sim-City on Super Nintendo, and I have a copy of Sim-Isle for my PC. I liked Sim-City. I really didn't like Sim-Isle. I've seen The Sims in the store, but I've never played it. |
| ilsam | posted 21-Feb-2002 5:00pm Alloha, yes I have played it and I niether like it nor dislike it. |
| juliw | posted 21-Feb-2002 5:59pm Nope, never heard of it. |
| kirst | posted 21-Feb-2002 6:11pm I was really into The Sims before my daughter was born. The reality of having to look after a real human took away the pleasure of The Sims for me...plus I don't have a lot of free time to spend on computer games. |
| Oscar | posted 21-Feb-2002 7:48pm Yeah, but I'm not sure if I like it yet. I still don't get it. |
| Kay | posted 21-Feb-2002 9:13pm Yes, I have played The Sims and for a long time was quite addicted! I have the first two expansion packs ("Livin' Large" & "House Party") and look forward to buying "Hot Date" when it comes out for the Mac. I really like how you can download objects from the web to use in the game to create your own world. VERY COOL!! |
| Kay | (reply to spidertea) posted 21-Feb-2002 9:15pm Do you have the "Hot Date" expansion pack? If so, how do you like it? I have a Mac and always get the expansion packs well after the PC versions... |
| mrsbbear | (reply to Kay) posted 21-Feb-2002 10:16pm My girlfriend quit playing The Sims altogether because it was TOO addictive! She would sit down, play, need to go to the bathroom, hold it and keep playing, get hungry, hold it and keep playing, and suddenly get shooting pains in her back from sitting so long, and look up and realize 6 hours had passed! LOL I got started playing at a friend's house, and eventually went on to obtain Livin' Large and House Party, and finally Hot Date as well. The Sims website was very helpful to me, and there are a lot of Sims freaks out there. But beware of Hot Date! Some people have had very bad luck with it, and have even accused Maxis of putting out a beta product. Then Maxis issued a patch to fix all the problems, and the patch was actually worse than the problems it was supposed to fix! But Livin' Large and House Party are tons of fun. Some people like to get out their sicko side by building a swimming pool in the backyard, commanding a Sim to go swimming, and then removing the ladder so the Sim swims around until it gets exhausted and falls asleep and drowns...Bleah! |
| spidertea | (reply to Kay) posted 21-Feb-2002 11:06pm The Hot Date expansion pack is great. More people, more products, more social interactions. You can go down town and invite people home. You can build and rebuild the downtown area. It's way cool. |
| skylark | posted 22-Feb-2002 5:21am No, though I would like to. |

| southernyankee | (reply to Oscar) posted 26-Feb-2002 9:57pm oh, my bad. |
| Oscar | (reply to southernyankee) posted 26-Feb-2002 11:58pm just figured I'd fix it in case anyone wanted to follow your idea and download Kazaa. |
| natsim | posted 27-Feb-2002 1:47am No, I've never played The Sims and I'm pissed off that they've stolen my surname for some fictitious family without even asking, or giving us all a free copy! > |
| southernyankee | (reply to Oscar) posted 27-Feb-2002 10:48pm ok. Well, you did them a favor. I guess that makes you a good samaritan, Oscar. |
| Maxell | posted 1-Mar-2002 8:23pm Yeah, I've played the Sims. It was fun for a while but then it got a bit redundent. Out of 10 I'd give it a 7. |
| Twacy222 | posted 2-Mar-2002 9:48am I spend little spurts where I am simply addicted to the game... I want SIMS hot date so bad but cannot afford it |
