What is your greatest talent? Don't be modest.

I like to think that everyone has a special talent; often it is just a matter of figuring out what it is.

I feel generally I'm pretty good dealing with people (with exceptions of course!) I run discussion nights at my house and can find middle ground between people, and organize skiing trips, biking trips, winery trips, and the like. I'm a good programmer and got at a number of sports, but it's the people one I enjoy.

My ability to tell interesting stories, maybe.

I'm amused that fewer than half of the rspondents have sumitted an answer. Bill, I think you've got some competition in the humble category.

Modesty. But really, I'm not all that good at it.

Chocolate. I'm good at science, and in particular I'm a whiz at injecting DNA into fly embryos, but I think I'm best with chocolate.

I would say that my greatest talent is the ability to get people to do what I want. Not necessarily manipulation, I like to call it sweet-talking.

Hard to say, I am fairly talented in a number of areas. I think that the "creative problem solving" type of intelligence is probably my very strongest asset. There are some things that I used to think I was bad at, but as I have grown older and more experienced, I have found that I'm actually fairly good at them and tended to be critical of myself (still do, but it's more balanced now). I have discovered that many things that are commonly thought of as "talent" (i.e. something innate) are actually more in the "skill" (i.e. something learnable) category - a good example would be singing well. This has made me much more willing to try and learn all kinds of things that I thought I wasn't so good at, because I now believe that they can be learned.

I value two main talents in myself. The simple, most tangible one, is my drawing ability. I am painter, but my painting is something that I have to work to achieve and that I have a real struggle to maintain, while drawing just sort of is something I do. There are plenty of people who draw better than me, but mine is still a talent.

Also, though, I think I have a talent for living joyously. I get bogged down and angst filled sometimes, just as I do plenty of bad drawings, but even then I am aware of the joy in my heart. Appreciation of my life and of the flow of Life comes to me very much like drawing does, only without any intermediary tools. In a way, drawing becomes the physical expression of my appreciation of all things around me.

you did say "don't be modest."

Ordering chaos. Having the ability to see clearly what others cannot see. Having the insight to analyze the status quo, develop a plan, and implement it.

Acting. I love the feeling of getting on stage and becoming somebody I'm not. I love to give it my all and become the character without anyone judging me. I can just entertain them. Of course, there are so many things I have never tried, so the could be something thats my true calling, and I just don't know it.

I am a very good decorator & I am also a master of trivia. I have only met one other person who knows more trivia than I do & his is so far out that I think sometimes he might be putting me on.

My only 'real' talent is sewing, but I am also good at storytelling & problem solving. I majored in math in college so I am better than average with it. I like to come up with great ideas. I am envious of anyone who is musical or able to paint or draw. (I forgot another talent...I am quite a good cook.)

The ability to sculpt a replica of Mount Rushmore from lime jello and spackle.

Actually, I really don't know. This isn't modesty, this is the fact that I don't pay enough attention to myself to tell what this may be. Ask me in fifty years when I've had some accomplishments. I'm only 27 I need a little time on this.

how about 'I need to figure out what it is... '
*yeah.. what jjg said..
I don't look at myself and say "I am talented at this, this is what I do'. I either do things or I do not. if I have an interest and I can breach the walls of apathy and laziness I can do an adequate job of anything with a bit of practice and learning.

I'm having a really hard time deciding what is talent and what is skill. I can do a bunch of things well, but I don't know if any of them are necessarily talents. I guess the closest would be "sensing". It's hard to describe without sounding nuts, but things like seeing without necessarily using my eyes. I don't know any proper word for it.

I'm really really amazingly humble, more humble than anyone I know. I'm really the most excellently humble person in all of creation. No doubt about it, I'm the best at being humble.
* OK, I'll try to make a serious answer. I'm really good at being quiet. I'm fairly good at saying something short but funny in the middle of a conversation (often, it's the first and only thing I say).
I'm good at talking to someone one on one. I'm good at knowing exactly what I could say to someone to make them feel really bad. I'm pretty good at not actually saying it.
I'm good at knowing what to do.
