3-4 times a week. I throw the bedspread back on every night before I go to bed, but I rarely make the bed. |
| justjulie |
every day...sometimes twice, depends on what happens to it after i made it the first time |
romkey |
I straighten up the sheets almost every day. I don't really ever "make" it though |
| Biggles |
Never. |
| Dino |
I have a duvet so I just fling it back over but I change it once a week a week or thereabouts. |

NEver. What's the point? I work nights and sleep/nap at od times. I'd be making my be all the time if I made it everytime I had a nap. |

I've got one too, but we call them a 'doona' in Australia. Don't ask me where it comes from. |
| Jemmy |
Not as often as I should. |
Enheduanna |
Every day. |
| juliw |
Every day, and I change the sheets weekly. |

The maid makes it three or four times a week or whenever she just plain feels sorry for me. I hate bed-making. |
| Zang |
Only for company. Often, not even then. Way less than once a week anyway. |

everyday...either Sue does it or I do. |
| darkshadowsseeker |
Once a week when I change the sheets. |
| icurok |
Ever night, I try and shove the bedsheet under the mattress as a token gesture knowing full well that when I wake up it will have moved down to the bottom of the bed and crumpled up around my feet. |

You strike me as being an organised person - I can't imagine you not making your bed. |
| msgman |
It depends on what you mean by "make". I use a duvet, so normally I just throw it off in the morning and put it back in the evening - that's what you're supposed to do, as it allows it to air during the day. The sheet manages to stay put without me having to continually replace it.
I usually change the sheet and duvet cover once a week - that's the only part of the lifecycle of my bed that requires any real effort. |

I have a mother who doesn't work. She makes my bed once a week (While I slave over schoolwork!) |
| Catharsis | | (reply to Biggles) posted 11-Feb-2002 6:02am |
Lucky you. Where do you go to school? |
| Biggles | | (reply to Catharsis) posted 11-Feb-2002 2:18pm |
Sheffield (UK). I'm taking my A-levels. |
| moonstone | | posted 12-Feb-2002 12:14am |
I think I end up making the bed right before we go to bed most of the time..kind of pointless, but I don't like getting into an unmade bed... |
| Catharsis | | (reply to Biggles) posted 12-Feb-2002 6:21am |
A-Levels in what? What are you doing after school? |
| Biggles | | (reply to Catharsis) posted 12-Feb-2002 7:51am |
A2 Biology, Chemistry, Government and Politics, Sociology and General Studies. And AS Archaeology. After my exams (this June) I'm going to university to study Biological Sciences |
| Catharsis | | (reply to Biggles) posted 12-Feb-2002 10:38am |
Wow. Where will you be attending university? |
| Biggles | | (reply to Catharsis) posted 13-Feb-2002 10:32am |
It depends on my grades. If they're good enough then Oxford, if not Edinburgh. Are you a Brit? |
| Catharsis | | (reply to Biggles) posted 14-Feb-2002 11:20am |
Er, kind of. More Brit than anything else I suppose. |
| Biggles | | (reply to Catharsis) posted 14-Feb-2002 12:24pm |
What do you mean by that? Are you a mixture? |
| Catharsis | | (reply to Biggles) posted 15-Feb-2002 5:56am |
Yeah. Neither of my parents are british but they both lived in england when they met. I've lived in britain for some of my life but I've moved around alot too. |
| Biggles | | (reply to Catharsis) posted 15-Feb-2002 5:58am |
I'd love to move around a lot. Maybe after university I will Where in Britain did you live? |

At the moment I'm in the North East, a town called Peterlee, near Durham. I suspect I'll be out of here in the next week or two. Fancy going up north for a bit. Spend some time among the scots. |
| Biggles | | posted 15-Feb-2002 6:04am |
Ah Durham - that was my first choice university. Took me a while to change my mind and I'm still not certain I made the right choice. Say nothing about how pretty Durham is, you'll upset me!!! lol The further North you go, the nicer the accents get. Although the South coast burr is quite nice too |

rarely during the day ...mostly only when company's coming; but I do make it most nights before I go to bed |

Mainly we make it for the cat...so she'll be happy while we're at work..... |

basically, never... the person who cleans our house makes it (every other week), but she combines the blankets and my wife and I use separate blanks, so we have to undo it each time... other than that, we only arrange the blanket a little before bed if we have to. |

7 times a week.
It't not because I'm not lazy, it's just that I prefer the feeling opposed to when everything is wrinkled up. |
| pandora | | posted 8-Aug-2004 12:55pm |
I straighten the covers and pillows every day, and I put fresh sheets on once a week. I'm not sure what you're trying to find out with the question, so I had to check other. |

How can this one suddenly be active again? |
bill | | (reply to Maarten) posted 8-Aug-2004 3:03pm |
I activated it... I think they asked for it... in that survey where people asked about reactivating an old survey... |
| iamdonte | | posted 10-Aug-2004 9:24pm |
I make the bed every morning. |
ElvisFan67 | | posted 14-Aug-2004 7:59pm |
Once or twice, but for good reason. Through the week, I leave for work so early that my time to get ready is very limited, so Mom makes it for me after I'm gone. Of course, I make it on weekends. |
