Should I go to my lesson?

I have an hour on my own at college to wait for a 2 hour lesson in Biology that I hate and then I have to get the bus back home on my own at 5pm when all the people who have finished work are getting the bus so I won't get a seat. My biology teacher has told me if I miss another lesson for no good reason I will be kicked off the course. He has already denied me free entry to my exams (evil man!). Should I go the lesson or not?

Keep going, keep trying. You have nothing to lose. If you plug away on a slim chance of passing, you still have a slim chance. If you don't try, you have no chance. So go for it.

Yes, if you want to pass the unit. Use the hour to eat or study. As the bus travels people get off and you will eventually get a seat. How long is the bus ride anyway?

It's not about you being naughty. Its about you being immature. I'm sorry I know you don't want to hear that but please I'm speaking as a 30 year old failure (comparitively).
Right now you can't see beyond the next six months (?) but this is your one opportunity to get the qualifications you need.
You my friend need attitude! You seem like you already have attitude but your misdirecting it.
Get some qualifications and go out there and get the job and salary you deserve.
Your only excuse seems to be that you can't get a seat. Tough! Life is tough. You think life is tough now because you have little teen worries which, because they are your only worries, seem huge. You don't know tough. You certainly don't want to know how tough it is not to have a job or a low paid one with little hope of finding a better one.
Stay with your course and do lots of homework - not just the one you asked to do.
Good luck with your future!

I agree with Dino. If you want the credit, then you do the course. No argument.

Yes, you should go. You aren't going to be at college forever. Study hard now and you won't need to go back.

I don't like my Biology lessons much either, but I don't miss them (unless I'm ill) because I know how much I want to go to university. Look to the future and find your reason for going. Even if it's just to get away from college!!! * smile *

Is Biology necessary? If not, screw that! Take something fun, like Art History or Journalism.

I appreciate the comment but I disagree with not knowing what tough means. I feel that was a little patronising. I've had to go through some crap so far in my life which were not little 'teen' problems, an adult would have a hard time with them, college is not one of my problems believe me. It is not on a high list of my priorities. This is the 7th place of education that i have attended, whereas most go through 2 or 3. I'm sick of changing teachers and classes and stuff. I just get tired of it. However I am intelligent enough to do the exams and I will pass them, I did well last year (a lot better than most people thought) and I will continue to prove them wrong this year! Despite the fact that I miss a few lessons my work gets done and I am good at it. I am not an ambitious person when it comes to university and jobs and would much rather travel and gain experience that way. I know what it is like to not have a job or have a low paid one, my family lived on benefits for a number of years where there was no spare money, until my mother went to university at the age of 38 to train to be a teacher, which has improved her lifestyle and consequently the family's.I don't think we have ever been in the position though where we could afford to spend on luxuries. Mum being a mature student has taught me that you needn't rush to do everything before the age of 20, there will be plenty of time in my life to achieve all my separate goals. I will be also in a better position to know what I want later in life too.

I really like you but in this instance I can say that you are a fool. Or maybe you're hoping Mr. Right will come along and save the day and you won't have to bother about going back in the future. As far as we can see - your problem is not getting a seat on a freaking bus! Explain yourself further!

If you're going to take the class, go to the freakin class. Just because you don't feel like it and you won't have a seat on the bus later(waa waa)or whatever is not an excuse. You are probably having a hard time in the class because you've missed so many that you never have any idea about what's going on when you're there. Suck it up and try to pay attention and learn something in the class, you might actually enjoy it. Do it for yourself.

I really like you too, but you are assuming a lot about me that you don't know. Mr Right would be nice - but I'm 17 so I'm not expecting him yet, and don't need him yet, if I ever do. I've learned in the past year to have my independence and keep it. I don't think you should really read that much into this survey, I was just tired and wanted to go home. My report for biology is shockingly bad, but for all my other lessons I'm described as basically the perfect student. I've never missed a business studies lesson. I'm not really tired of the whole college thing just yet (If I have to move AGAIN I will be though), I think it's just that particular lesson. Maybe I made a mistake in choosing it, though I am good at it. And I'm not a fool.

Alright then. You say you never missed a business studies lesson. That's good. Maybe your just not a scientific person. I shall raise you back on my esteem scale. (It was pretty high before you know * wink * )

You should go and save the good excuse of missing a lesson for the next time. It also depends on what college it is...
