I need inspiration for a purpose in life. What's yours?

To all you lovely people in qualifying, please don't get picky about this. It's just a simple question to which I'd really appreciate some simple answers.

Thanks.

It's got to come from inside you. No fair pilfering other people's purposes.

My inspiration is simply not wanting to go back to the dark place I was before. So perhaps I would suggest contemplate this but then if you do that too much you get depressed and lose motivation. So generally acknowledge those scrunchy times (*wry smile* ) and move on. Well, that's me. I'm sure someone else will give you a better answer.

*whisper* you know, survey creator, you really shouldn't be posting messages to qual in your actual survey.

Think of all the things you really, really love. Think of all the things you really, really hate. Your purpose in life should be the least time spent with the things you hate, and the most time with the things you love, and time in between to consider that if these vary, it's not the end of the world.

I don't really have one. To love and be loved??? I really don't think about stuff like that much. I enjoy life more when I don't.

You know, Dino, I thought it might be amusing for all the people out there who have ever not qualified a survey that was important to them due to unnessescary nitpicking by those of you in the qualification.

I saw a Hare Krishna for the first time in ages today. He was wearing a yellow puffa jacket over his robe. Certainly stood out from the crowd.

Maybe you should think about the possibility that there is no real purpose in life. That humans are simply existing, and that is all. That we have no definate purpose or reason for being here. That on a grand scheme of things...we are just as worthless to the universe as maggots are to us. Humans honestly have no "real" purpose in the balance of life or nature. But thats the negotive side of things. =) did i give you inspiration? No seriously, just be happy with who you are, don't let things bother you. Just "Let It BE." -The Beatles.

(reply to DeeJay) posted 19-Mar-2002 11:24pm

Whoa...Back up!!!!!
Maggots are soooooooo useful! If it were not for the flesh eating maggots of the blowfly, for example, we'd be up to our elbows in corpses!!!!!
Flesh eating maggots are also very helpful medicinally, eating away at dead flesh and tissue to aid in healing.

Not to mention the value these maggots and their various forms(lifestages) can be in helping law enforcement pin down time of death. Some maggots have helped to narrow time of death down enough to place killers at the scene of a crime.

and don't get me started on Beetles!!!! *raspberry*

I want to make people happy with my music and writing.I'm on a big "altruistic" idealistic phase, until about an year ago I was cynical and egoist.

Oh,I thought you wanted to know my purpose, not my inspiration. My inspiration is just the way I am mixed up with the world I live in.Like everybody else,I guess.I don't have a guiding light.
