| lisashea | posted 7-Oct-1998 5:55pm I'd say $10-$15 most weeks, I get those split-pea-soup add-water things and have that with yogurt. Pretty cheap, and I always drink tons of water. My last company had us all going out all the time, but here we mostly eat in at the conference room table. |
| Mimi | posted 7-Oct-1998 7:29pm I usually eat lunch at home, but on those rare occasions when I am out with friends for lunch I spend $5 to $10. |
| kadai | posted 7-Oct-1998 7:50pm 1 sandwich, a bottle of odwalla, and some chips comes to about 7 bucks where I live. I do that twice a week and bring lunch the other days. That means lunch costs $14 bucks a week (yeesh, that's expensive) |
| Sybal | posted 7-Oct-1998 10:00pm Well, I usually bring a bottle of spring water to work with me everyday, if that counts, so that's about a dollar a day....and I usually don't eat lunch, but If I do, I just get a bagel which costs me about a dollar also |
| reality | posted 8-Oct-1998 9:05am I eat out two days, and bring my lunch the other three during the week. weekends I eat when I am hungry, so they don't count. however, I still suppliment my sandwiches with stuff from the nosh machine... |
| milktree | posted 8-Oct-1998 10:05am kadai: How much does the lunch you take to work cost? My intent was total cost of lunch, not just eat-out lunch. |
| phi | posted 8-Oct-1998 10:47am Way too much. And this doesn't even count the coke machine money. |
| anonymous | posted 8-Oct-1998 11:46pm I eat the same lunch almost everyday, and it costs me $10 every week day. I never did the math until now, and I see that I coughing up $200 dollars a month for lunch. Wow, what a waste. |
| jjg | posted 9-Oct-1998 10:39am $1 for a tv dinner, and misc fruit, bread and snacks bring it up another $1 or so. So $10 to $15 per week. |
| jefff | posted 11-Oct-1998 12:40pm I make lunch most days for Kelly and myself. I figure it saves us about $150 a month. |
| plindar | posted 11-Oct-1998 8:20pm I eat lunch out just because it gets me away from my desk for a while. |
| Jody | posted 13-Oct-1998 10:58am After tracking my expenses with Quicken I realized I spent so much money on lunch that I try to bring my own all the time now. |
| dpolicar | posted 13-Oct-1998 1:25pm I rarely eat lunch; when I do it's in the $5-$10 range. Averaged over a few months it's < 2.50/week. |
| drdt | posted 13-Oct-1998 7:41pm I think most people filled this in thinking it was 'per day'. Then again, this is just about my entire food budget for the week. Pandora: we can't all be genii and come up with brilliant questions like you. |
| bill | posted 14-Oct-1998 7:42am assy? ...cool, a new word! I'm going to start using it right away. |
| lizzie | posted 14-Oct-1998 4:10pm I should make my lunch more, but I'm lazy. Who wants to work all day, then have to go home and slave over a hot stove for an hour to make a decent meal? No thanks... |
| pandora | posted 23-Oct-1998 5:35pm drdt, no need to get assy. Cool name, by the way. Ha. Same to you Bill. Bill. Awesome. |
| clare | posted 5-Aug-2006 11:36pm I bring lunch from home. Usually just a sandwich. I've never bothered to do a break down of how much the ingredients cost per sandwich. |
